My son and I go on trips with our kids. We don't always depend on Wi-Fi at the top of the mountain so we prepare at home.

But it's within the normal range of cell phone networks. This means that my kids will have to explore the area to discover better internet speeds as we and my wife set up the camp site. These trips are among my favorites and I'm the only person who really enjoys these excursions. My wife insists on doing this. Perhaps she knows that I love being outdoors in the wild. After several days of no internet or phones being able to connect to the internet, we realized it was time to prepare. My wife and I decided to be prepared for the time when our kids, our children will not have internet access for longer than 10 minutes. We came up with two sources of endless entertainment when Internet is not available during our camping excursions. The first was a tablet loaded with music videos and songs of the best quality. Some of these videos were taken from Youtube and then converted to mp4 which I then transferred onto my tablet. It's easier to store video on the tablet for when you're at work and don't want to wait for video to stream. These two strategies have kept my kids busy during four family camping trips. They don't mind leaving the house any more as they are aware that tablets 2 can aid them in getting through boring downtime and then bring it back home when they're ready. I've never felt happier.
