Okay but the Batkids using Dad with Bruce when they know hes been having a rough day-

Bruce comes back from a JL meeting upset, not because something went wrong but because they aren't acting like a team, and Dick jumps into his arms and crawls over his shoulders and drapes himself across his back and is like “dad! You're home!” and suddenly bruce feels better

Or Bruce excuses himself from a Gala, pissed off because someone whispered his kids are just charity cases he uses to get publicity and Cass slips into the room through a vent and hugs hims from behind murmuring, “its okay daddy. We know the truth.”

The batkids calling bruce dad when they've had a bad day because they have to make conscious effort to call him bruce and when they are just exhausted and done its too much effort to not call him dad-

Jason storms into the manor, pissed off after finding a woman who took drugs and killed herself and left her daughter alone, and slumps onto the couch. Bruce notices and comes over with a cup of tea and one of jasons favorite books, presses a kiss to his forehead and covers him with a blanket and jason murmurs a quiet “thanks dad” before relaxing with his book

Or Tim has spent four consecutive days in the Cave, only surviving off of coffee and spite and Bruce finally snaps, grabbing him in a blanket and burritoing him and carrying him to his room and spoon feeding him alfred food and Tim is so exhausted he just mutters “thanks dad.” before falling asleep

Or Steph is out on patrol and she slips and her foot lands poorly and she screams in pain, hitting the ground, but in just a few seconds Batman is at her side, wrapping it for her and helping her to stand and as she sags against him she lets out a slightly pained, “thanks dad.” as he helps her to the batmobile.

bruce kills the joker after jasons death and is visiting jasons grave when he crawls out

instead of becoming robin again when he recovers, jason lets tim take on robin. dick helps him come up with his own identity as bluejay and jason goes to bludhaven to train with dick for a while :3

It'd be really funny if all of the members of YJ are so scared of being punished by their older counterparts, except Tim.

Which boggles YJ's minds. Because HUH? THATS BATMAN??? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT SCARED OF HIS PUNISHMENTS? SURELY THEYRE WORSE THAN ANY OF OURS?

Yj gets in trouble. Diana grounds Cassie and tells her no costume for a month. Clark tells Kon "im not mad im just dissapointed" (the boy is in tears). Barry/Wally tells Bart that hes "not crash" and that he's not allowed to run with them to Tokyo for a week. They're all on the ground crying.

Then they look over at Tim. They're terrified for him. Batman is in front of him, looming over him, glaring down at him. They're far away from the others but yj is still shaking in fear because look how pissed Batman is.

Then Tim "I lied to Batman" Drake walks back and grins at them. "He tried to ground me. I'll be back by tomorrow."

So we all know that, in reality, Dick was the most violent and biggest menace of the Robins but everyone also thinks he’s the golden child.

With that said, you cannot convince me that he doesn’t use that fully to his advantage and absolutely troll the heck out of the batkids.

He’ll pull pranks on the batkids and they’ll all blame someone else even though Dick was conveniently in the “wrong place at the wrong time” but all the kids are just convinced it couldn’t be Dick based on the nature of the prank alone.

This continues to go on for years! And each time Alfred of Bruce walk in on the aftermath, they’ll take in the scene and then either stare into the invisible camera Office Style or they’ll just make eye contact with each other, sigh and walk away.

Finally he genuinely gets caught in the act and he ALMOST gets away with it still! Because of how in denial the kids are. But he doesn’t get away with it and this starts a whole blown out argument where everyone gets called in so they can confront Dick while he just kinda smiles sheepishly and shrugs. Until Alfred or Bruce walk in and just mutter under their breath a “finally” and this starts the argument all over ten fold where no one is left unscathed.

bruce would be the kind of dad to make fun of his kids for watching something, then stand there and watch it with like a stupid handful of cashews

and suddenly he’s telling dick his favorite characters, he’s having duke quiz him on names, & stephanie had to pull up the character quizzes again because bruce was adamant that he knew which of his kids are what character

they all come back to the manor after a week in blud and find him wrapped up in a blanket watching the new episode without them

listen, i have no idea what’s currently canon in dc comics and i really don’t care to BUT regardless of what continuity we’re in, i think jason todd might be the funniest character of all time. just the biggest hypocrite ever and i’m obsessed. like, so many people have pointed out how crazy it is to be pissed off at tim for replacing him as robin when he literally replaced dick while dick was still alive, but then to go and parade around bludhaven as a murderous nightwing while dick is (again) very much still alive and THEN form a team with dick’s ex girlfriend and best friend??? jason todd is THE definition of “replacement” or what the fuck ever he calls tim and i actually find it so funny. stay crazy girl <3
