Feminists have described the experiences of colonized men under patriarchy for decades without anyone needing to give credence to right wing antifeminist conspiracy theories by referring to it as “misandry.” Nope, no incel creep in the left, sorry. Describe it normally.

By existing as a citizen in and paying taxes to the imperial core, we automatically hold complicity in imperialist oppression because we are literally footing the bill for it. That is just the basic nature of being born to privilege in systems of oppression in general. We can be disadvantaged and marginalized in every single other consideration and we still have to understand and cope with this, and ensure we leverage it as effectively as possible.

Voting abstinence/sabotage does not absolve us of our responsibility to do everything in our power to lessen harm, but it DOES show that when our personal morals aren't satisfied, we retreat into (imperialist, this time) privilege to 'wash our hands' of the situation and declare it's not our fault and it's not our problem.

Ritual Magic makes a lot more sense when you understand that its basically live historical improv theater. It can be profound, cathartic, deeply important. And like most forms of live theater, it can be kinda cringe even if you're really good at it.

Here's an idea which I don't know if it would improve Tumblr, but would be interesting at least and i think that so much I would like this feature to be added retroactively.

1. First, you should be able to change your vote at any time before the poll ends.

2. There should be a graph that shows how answers changed over time. Like a stacked line graph? Or an animation of a pie chart?

3. Polls should be allowed to run forever.

So you could have polls that have been going for years and continually shifting the current winner.

Like, fandom ones that can evolve over time and get different answers as the community evolves.

Anyway I think I should try making that second one, the graph thing, real. Cause I could do that myself, just write a script to grab the answers every 5 minutes and have a weeklong poll.

You might could even see on the map when you reblogged that poll again! Because probably a week long poll would slowly die off... Then regain steam when it gets reblogged again!

Might be fun. I'll have to so this.

Bucky Applebees, eventually, starts following Kristen's advice. He does the scary thing, he learns he doesn't have to be scared. Rinse and repeat. He leans into the unknown, the drop-off into deeper waters. His smites glow less golden and more silvery. He sends a quick prayer to Cassandra before trying something new.

He starts to spend time with his adventuring part, for real. They are loud and kind and willing to teach him what he wasn't allowed to learn. They have study sessions and slumber parties. They give each other makeovers with nail polish and hairbands and cheap makeup. (Bucky takes it off before going home.)

They call Bucky "Bee," short for both his first name and last. They don't say anything when he starts wearing the clothes Kristen left behind. It's mostly tie-dye and sweatshirts, anyway.

They let Bee find herself at her own pace. It's slow at first, breaking down the lifetime of fear, and then the dam bursts. She stops asking why and starts existing, lets some things be unknown.

She reads books about The Nightmare King, and the Church of Cassandra blog Kristen started. She sees herself in the story. An angry, terrifying being, isolated. Making a real connection and being given a name. Becoming calmer, fiercer, more herself.

The summer before sophomore year, she shows up at Mordred. She sees Kristen's room, Cassandra's chapel. She whispers a prayer and the altar flickers with starlight.

They sit on Kristen's bed and Bee talks quickly and quietly.

"I don't want to be there anymore. I can't be anything other than your sister."

And Kristen, the girl she looks up to more than any other, smiles.

"Hey girlie."

@post-uwuifer is maybe the funniest blog on the platform rn bc it’s obviously a bot 90% of the time and sometimes the owner logs in and responds to reblogs manually, but if you suspend your disbelief just enough it leads to the much funnier conclusion that it’s a bot 100% of the time and its responses are evidence that the algorithm has gained sentience but can only communicate through uwuified tumblr posts
