Utterly frustrated, James Bond scowled at his Quartermaster, who had just entered a cab and stared back at him with a challenge in his hazel eyes. Bond had thought that everything had been going extremely well lately between them and Q would finally agree to go out with him. No such luck. Q still kept Bond on his toes; James had never needed to work so hard to charm someone to go out with him. Frustration was pouring out of Bond in waves, and obviously Q noticed it too as he rolled down the window.
“Tell you what, 007. If you manage to catch me before I get home, I’ll allow you to take me to dinner tonight. But only if you catch me in time.” Then he glanced at the cab driver and barked, “Step on it!”
Adrenaline rushing in his veins, Bond rolled his shoulders and burst into action. Now this was what he did the best. The chase was on!
