"A cat scraping a chalkboard? Then I'll definitely need some shots for my ears to get through that." Sherri teased, being sure to smile so her words weren't taken to be anything but jest, even if the mental image of that troubled her. Definitely in need of shots then - outperforming a duet partner in karaoke was another terrible image. When the server returned with the tray, Sherri wasted no time grabbing two shots, downing one after the other in a quick succession. "If we must. Stevie Nicks is out if it's a duet. So is anything too niche. We need something that suits the crowd." Sherri began, letting the logical side take over before the buzz could derail her. "What do you make of this crowd; their musical taste?"

"Shots? I can take care of that," Abigail said, smiling at her friend. "I can't go at it alone. I sound like a cat scraping a chalkboard when I sing," she explained with a small chuckle. So, Abigail made her way to the bar and ordered a couple more rounds of shots for the table. As she made her way back to her table, she waited for the server to come by with their shots. When they brought them to the table, she smiled thanking the server. "Drink up," she said to Sherri. "Because were so doing this."

Cowbells was not Sherri's immediate club of choice (Glow took that honor, unfortunately). It was loud. It was full of drunks (more so than the other clubs, she thought). It had country music frequently in rotation. It had a fucking mechanical bull. But it was the closest one to home, and her friend wanted to come. Sherri was early, so she opted to wait at the bar versus do anything else in this place. "Not a chance in hell." The words fell out almost instantly at the suggestion to ride Millie. "That thing looks like a deathtrap. I'll stick with the full-price poison. A traditional martini, please. Salt on the rim."

Cooper had picked up a shift at Cowbells and he was enjoying the opportunity to watch people attempt to ride (and mostly fail) ride the mechanical bull. It was a fast paced night, but not super chaotic, and he was just enjoying a night that felt a little bit like home. He rolled his neck a bit, turning from the shelf behind the bar, and looking at whoever had sat at the bar.

"Hey," he smiled, grabbing a glass and sliding it in front of them. "How can I help you tonight?" he asked. "And, if you feel brave enough to give Millie a go and stay on, drinks are half off," he said, his lips quirking into a little grin.

Inexplicably, and perhaps unjustly, rather than feel gratitude for the woman's gesture, Sherri instead felt miffed, hot irritation bubbling to the surface at what she deemed an act of charity. Sherri did not need charity. She also didn't do well with having to owe anyone anything - an issue, now that she found herself indebted to a stranger (because even though she didn't take charity, the blonde was not one to waste opportunities either, causing her to follow along despite her indignation over it). "How kind of you." She said, pushing down the displeasure as she entered the club behind her creditor. "I'm assuming you come here often?"

the line outside the bustling nightclub was lengthy, so torturously long that the club was at the verge of being at capacity, leading the bouncers to begin to deny people entry. luckily for venus, she was on good terms with the owner, which meant she could always bypass the queue and never had to worry about being denied entry.

bypassing every impatient clubgoer to reach the front of the queue, the blonde flashed a smile towards the familiar bouncer, greeting him jovially as he unhooked the rope to let her through.

“oh, they’re with me.” she added, gently nodding towards the first person in line, giving them a ‘just play along look’ before reaching a hand out for the other to grab before leading them into the club with her. “they usually stop letting people in when it gets this busy and since you were at the front of the line i didn’t want all that time you spent waiting to go to waste.”

If Sherri had any knowledge about cars, she would be able to easily convey that the left side of her front bumper cover was loose. She had no idea what the fuck any of it was called though, so she simply said, "The front's coming off. It's like, not fully on the car. You can lift it up and I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be able to." She pulled up a picture on her phone to show the "massive" damage she had gleaned when she was walking back to her car earlier.

melody looked at the other and raised her eyebrow. she knew a lot about cars and she was happy to help anyone that needed help, especially when they came into the shop. she knew that it wasn't easy to drive with the traffic in new york. she smiled softly, "i'd be happy to give your car a look. do you have an idea of what's wrong?" she asked.

"No." Not particularly. Sherri tends to have strong opinions, with no issue saying no. She's the type to make a decision, and stick with it - even when she shouldn't. If she's indecisive about something, it's probably because she's in some stage of denial about it.

Not at all. Sherri is not a sports girl. She does not play any spots, she does not watch any sports, she has no favorite sport - she has absolutely zero interest in sports.

Sherri's an attention seeker who likes to be the best dressed person in the room - she's going all out, always.

💘 - What is your muse like when they're in love? What does your muse find attractive in someone else? What are their love languages? How do they show affection? Do they show any distinct signs that they're in love?

Sherri personally doesn't know what she is like when she's in love, as she's never been in love. The closest she's come was with Cinder, and even then, she fought that affection tooth and nail. When it comes to attraction, it varies. Physically, she's more immediately attracted to more masc presentation, shorter hair, dark features, tattoos, leather, piercings, leaner figures, arm muscles. But she's also equally attracted to the lipstick type, just far more resistant to it due to her closeted nature. She, historically, has a soft spot for softies. Sweethearts, trusting, never-give-up types, kind individuals with big hearts - they are the most lethal to Sherri, as they are the ones most likely to sneak up on her and get past her defenses and make her feel all the things (Cinder, looking at you). Sherri shows love through gift giving, physical touch, and acts of service, but best receives love through words of affirmation, quality time, and gift giving.

🛍 - Does your muse like to go shopping? What do they usually shop for? What kind of stores do they frequent?

Shopping, and particularly thrifting, has always been a favorite pasttime for Sherri. Initially an activity done out of necessity for Sherri growing up in unstable financial households, thrifting ended up being a task that satisfied a particular itch for Sherri. It was a tiring, time-exhausting task that required skill in order to locate the best pieces, and when she did find something good, it filled her with an instantly rewarding feeling. She's usually drawn to pieces that could fall into any of the following categories: vintage, glamorous, high-waisted, clean. She also loves a good jacket - it's the clothing item she owns the most of.

Reading for fun wasn't a hobby Sherri partook in. She'd had roommates throughout the years that were massive bookworms, owning bookshelves brimming with new hardbacks and much beloved paperbacks, but the activity was never one Sherri was ever drawn to. Yet, she still frequented bookstores and libraries often, purely for research purposes. For every new audition based on a preexisting source, Sherri made sure to study up on the character, which is why she was at Cover to Cover to begin with. It was also why she was so engrossed in her current search that what was clearly a gentle tap and soft voice still spooked her so bad it was like she'd just been tasered, the small collection of books she'd been holding in one hand tumbling towards both their feet as she lost her grip. "Shit!"

books new or used were something that theodora loved. she loved the way the pages felt between her fingertips, the way the pages smelt — the way it was her travel companion whenever she had to wait somewhere. on this day the young woman found herself at cover to cover browsing the many books on offer hoping to find the particular book she had been on the hunt for. it was an older one so she was skeptical of finding it but her pale blue eyes had already found other titles that looked interesting already in her arms for purchase. someone else had been in the aisle she was in and theodora had needed to get past. she gently placed her hand on the person's shoulder to signify that she was there saying softly, "'scuse me. i'm just going to sneak past you here."

"Hey, this was your idea, not mine." While Sherri would absolutely love to sing and impress everyone in the establishment with her vocals, there was no way in hell she was going to do so while sober for one obvious reason: being good at karaoke was inexplicably and decisively lame. Yet, she'd be damned if she ever purposefully threw her voice. Intoxication was the only answer, and she was nowhere near drunk enough yet. "I'm going to need at least another two rounds of shots before I can even think about getting up there. But don't let me stop you! You can go rock a solo number and I'll be here to cheer you on. I think you'd kill some Stevie Nicks."

"Oh, come on," she said as she stood up from the table. "We've got to sing karaoke. We're at a karaoke bar. It's the whole point of coming." Abigail moved from the table over to the sign up sheet and said to her friend, "I'm signing us up. What song do you want to sing?"

Everyone was not a friend when there was enough drinks involved, at least according to Sherri, who was known to maintain a prickly exterior even with a couple drinks. But she wasn't one to turn down free alcohol when she wasn't on a show (which was never these days), so friendship could be feigned for now. "Cheers. Margarita, salt on the rim." She accepted, setting aside her empty margarita glass. "But if this is your strategy to weaken the competition, it's shit." She continued, referring to the trivia that was supposed to start up soon, and the reason for her own visit to the pub to begin with. "Booze just sharpens my senses."

Pauly had a long day at the shop, but a couple days off to recuperate, and so he found himself at The Corner Pub. He wasn't one to shy away from a bar, now that he had enough money in his pocket to afford a few drinks, so he kept the gimlets coming until he was nice and fuzzy.

"Alright, alright, Nancy," he laughed softly, leaning across the bar some to look at the bartender with a grin. "Two more-- one for me, and one for my friend here." Everyone was a friend when there was enough drinks, right?
