Making art of that one scene from Lady of the Lake, but then I found out that in english it’s unfortunately translated differently:
“[Geralt:] ’Find a way, I know you will. And now farewell. Give us a hug you old fool’
[Dandelion:] ’Give us a hug, comrade. I’ll be looking out for you.’”
Don’t know how it is in original polish (if anyone knows pls let me know. 👀 ), but in my language it’s translated as:
“You’ll find a way, I know you will. And now farewell. Give me a kiss, you old fox.”
“Give a kiss, my friend. I’ll be waiting for you.”
That’s what inspired me to make this when I read the last book a year back.
Also, in that scene they are both on horseback, so it would actually be very difficult to draw them hugging while it not looking out of balance, awkward and strange. So a farewell kiss of some sort makes actually more sense.
