It’s Beth, here’s my one-shot for BloomingDreamix!

 I can’t let you live another day here in Gardenia without showing you how to make one of the best food items known to humans!“ Bloom exclaimed, leading Musa into the kitchen at her parents’ house. "Besides, if you learn how to make them, you can surprise our friends with them on their birthdays!” She was already running around the kitchen, getting out bowls, spoons, mixers, and the ingredients needed. “Would they really like that?” Musa asked in curiosity. “I don’t think they’ve ever tried cupcakes before either!” “Of course!” Bloom nodded, spreading out some of the ingredients on the counter. “We should put our hair up though,” She gently pulled her bright red hair into a tight bun, making sure there weren’t any loose strands. Musa nodded and did the same for her hair, quickly braiding the black locks into a semi-tight braid. “So let’s get started!” “You have to do all of this by hand….won’t they take forever?” Musa asked, looking over the ingredients. She picked up two eggs and held them in her hands. “I read non-magical food takes hours to make!” Bloom laughed. “Really fancy stuff does. But cupcakes just take half an hour tops. The hard part is waiting for them to bake,” She got out some measuring cups. “Now let’s get started,” Musa nodded again and watched carefully as Bloom measured out some white powdery stuff(“Flour,”), a few of those eggs, some more white stuff that looked like crystals(“This is sugar. It looks different from flour, see?”), white cream she called ‘shortening’, though there was nothing short about it, some milk that Musa actually managed to recognize,  and golden liquid called 'oil’. “Now we mix it together,” Bloom continued to explain, getting out a big mixing spoon and gently but firmly mixing the stuff together. Some of the milk droplets flew out and landed on the counter. “And it really tastes good?” Musa asked in disbelief, finding the current mix inside the bowl to resemble weirdly-colored mush. She licked her finger and placed it in the bag of sugar, then licked it off her finger. Her eyes lit up. “Okay, this sugar stuff tastes great!” She laughed, making Bloom smile. “We’re going to make the frosting out of that stuff too!” She explained, finishing her stirring and placing the bowl back on the counter. “Now, we bake,” She pulled out a tin with eight sunken-in holes of silver and started to spoon the mess into the holes, never filling them to the top. “When the cupcakes actually bake, they’ll expand and fill up the rest of the hole. So we don’t want to put in too much batter or else the cupcakes will be huge!” She giggled. “I think I would like a ginormous cupcake though!” Musa stated, licking the rest of the sugar off her finger. She then watched as Bloom placed the cupcakes into the oven and slammed shut the oven, then wiped some sweat off her brow. “And to think, we’re just getting started!” She put some of the dirty dishes away in the sink. “What’s next?” Musa asked, trying to remember the recipe in her head. “Frosting! The fun part is actually frosting the cupcakes, of course, but making the frosting is fun too,” Bloom held out a box of food coloring and showed Musa as she mixed more milk, sugar, and eggs into a smaller bowl, then poured the mix into several smaller bowls. “Which colors should ours be in?” She asked curiously, holding out the color options. “Purple!” Musa answered quickly, pointing to that color. “But maybe also….yellow. And red? And blue!” She took the blue bottle from Bloom and held it upside down over the bowl closest to her, gently squeezing it and watching in amazement as some drops came out and dripped into the frosting. Bloom nodded in approval and handed her a spoon, and Musa slowly stirred the color into the frosting, smiling when the frosting actually started to turn blue, almost as if by….magic! “See? You’re getting the hang of this!” Bloom praised, mixing the yellow frosting. “These cupcakes will taste so good, I can already tell!” She pushed the last bowl over to Musa, who dropped the purple drops inside and mixed that up, finishing just as the oven timer dinged. “That means they’re done,” Bloom explained, placing her bowl down and putting on some oven mitts, carefully and slowly pulling the cupcakes out of the oven and placing them on the counter to cool. Musa walked over and smiled. “They smell so good,” She fanned the smell closer to her and picked up her bowl of purple frosting. “Is it time to frost them now?” Bloom nodded and picked up her bowl of yellow frosting, as well as an icer. “But be careful not to burn yourself,” Musa nodded in response and took out a regular butter knife, gathering up a bunch of frosting and messily frosting a cupcake, leaving one half of the cupcake without frosting on it. “Whoops,” She winced, but Bloom giggled and smoothed some of it out. “That just makes it more unique,” She winked and frosted some more cupcakes, and Musa laughed and followed suit. After they finished frosting the cupcakes, Bloom put the oven mitts away and untied her hair, letting it cascade down her back. She then threw the remainder of the dirty dishes into the sink and checked the cupcakes, peeling out two for her and Musa. “They’re cool enough,” She explained and took a bite. “Delicious!” Musa took a bite out of her own cupcake, echoing Bloom’s declaration. “This is my first time baking cupcakes…and I think I did an okay job,” There was some blue frosting on her mouth. “These cupcakes taste good because we made them together!” Bloom finished, laughing and pulling Musa into a big hug. “True! I had a lot of fun today!” Musa hugged Bloom back and polished off her cupcake. “But, if there’s one thing I’m not looking forward to….it’s having to clean up all of those dishes,” She motioned to the mountain of dirty dishes in the sink, and Bloom simply giggled and continued to eat. “We can handle that together….later,”
