It all honestly felt like the cheesiest romance film, the air was a crowd of people and Roman was pushing it away and closing the gap between them like it was no ones business. The scent of the other hit Nicholas like a ton of bricks, he could cry right there, he never knew how much he missed it up until this point; if he could float in the moments right before Roman kissed him for eternity— he would. It was the desire and genuine love radiating off the boy, the determination, the intensity of every little emotion, it made Nicholas fall more and more in love every single time. Before he could even breathe, there Roman was, noses pressed gently together, lips brushing together as if they were made for each other. At this point there was definitely a tear forming in the corner of his eye, he missed every second of this, his entire face was heating up as his fingers gripped onto the back of Roman’s shirt. When it was over he nearly pulled him back and begged for another but instead was hypnotized by the sound of his voice. Again, each word echoed in his ears as his eyes mentally took photos of the way the male looked, he never wanted to forget those words. “I’m so in love with you, Roman. I’ll never be able to stop, you’re the only one I’ll ever love like this— it’s the strongest, most passion filled mess I’ve ever felt. I need you more than I need air to breathe, you’re my person, mine. I’m yours forever, it doesn’t matter what happens, it doesn’t matter where we are; i’m only yours.”

        His initial reaction was a gentle hum, radiating from him with a glow of confidence. Finally he could feel whole again. With Nicholas he could be at home in his BODY, && his SOUL too could rest easily. Everything was so much better when they were together --- as toxic as they could be apart. Maybe it wasn’t healthy, && maybe they were the only ones who wanted to see it through; but that was all that mattered. Nothing else in the world compared to the two of them. So if they were going to survive the mess they created, it’d be together. With another boost of what could be arrogance or adrenalin, he pressed a few soft pecks to his once again lovers lips. “Then marry me.” it was almost a joke. It should of been a joke, but when you’re in love the thought of marriage is never fully comical. In those moments of considering just how serious the idea could be, he went for it. Full forward, thoughts out the window, pure instinct. A small separation between them caused his breath to hitch in the back of his throat, but how else in hell was he supposed to slip off what had to be the most elegant of his every day rings. Thank god for his style. Who would of anticipated that blessing?  “Marry me. Now, later, any time. You’re my person, Nicholas. I love you, && you love me. If you want forever, it’s yours, && so am I.”

Every single one of the other’s words echoed in his mind all while each little breath and every movement replayed over and over; he genuinely felt drunk. Regardless of how much pain his mind suffocated him with, this was too good to be true. Roman was right there, not even five feet away, he was so much closer than he’d been for months and that in itself was causing Nicholas’ heart to skip beats and even find happiness. “–baby…” he started, not really giving a fuck about if he was crossing the line, it was instinct at this point.  “What if we just,” there was a small pause between words as he gathered his thoughts and caught his breath. “–what if we just kept going? What if we just loved again? I want nothing more than to have you with me, I’m fucking useless without you; I need you as pitiful as it sounds. You’re my rock, Roman. Please.” Nicholas bit at his lip, he was shocked that he wasn’t stuttering or coughing; maybe it was the honesty that kept his tics away. “Fuck all the phycology shit, I just want my heart to be full again. I am so in love with you I can’t even breathe half the time. Stay; please. That’s all I want.”

       Roman couldn’t remove his gaze. It was permanently glued to Nicholas. He felt as if he could be there for hours, just watching him. Experiencing his presence again, for the first time in forever. There was pain && pleasure in seeing his ex now, but the pleasure was always worth the pain in the past. Would it still be? Was this something they could actually come back from? All of the logic he once knew about relationships started flying out the window the moment he heard that pet name. It quickened the hard beating of Roman’s heart, causing him to sigh reluctantly. He missed him so much, needed him so badly. All of his thoughts were silenced by the others words. He truly wanted them to start again, to pick up where they left off. For better or for worse, they would be together. So the real question remained, was it worth it? “Babe---” he choked out the word breathlessly as his limbs took him towards him. Without much resistance he was going in for a kiss, hands ghosting over Nicholas’s cheeks as he pressed their lips together, heart aching for more the second it started. Only he knew he’d have to speak. He’d have to face this maturely. So with an ounce of pain he broke it, thumb just barely grazing his ex’s lips before resting on the side of his neck. “I’ve been in love with you from the moment I met you, && don’t you dare think I ever stopped. I’m not, I’m not going anywhere. I wont leave you. I want to be yours again, && I want you to be mine. I want you to absolutely always, be mine.”
