Ra.One : Movie Review
Not less than 18 months ago, one late night I read a tweet of something about Random Access to Version ONE(Ra.One), following week the first article published in one of the Leading Daily’s “SRK the next superhero??” , since then the publicity started about one of the biggest venture of Bollywood which proudly claimed to be one of the best action cum vfx movie ever created in Indian Cinema. Launching the blink a miss teaser of SRK hovering around buildings along with the ICC WC 2011 is what to be called good marketing strategy(SRK overdid every possible way of promoting the film), so with everything plunged and punched it finally released on Diwali 2011.
As I sat comfortably numb on the afternoon show rubbing n cleaning the 3D glasses, I never pictured what the next 165mins could actually be.! But as I stepped out of the theater I was rest assured that I really never even thought of taking off those glasses for the amount of time and yes it’s one of the finest visually enhancing movie Bollywood ever produced.
Very frankly, the starting 30mins of the movie is dull, with the sequence of Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra  was utterly wasted and SRK’s nerdy Malayalam look has really questioned my decision on paying extra for the 3D version but then what followed had thoroughly proved me that the 3D wasn’t wasted. Talking of family the film floors a story mainly of a father n son and the concept of how powerful the evil could be, goodness always wins(concept coincidences with the release date). Shekhar Shubramaniam(SRK) a nerd as well as a game developer, develops a game from his son’s idea of the villain to be the most powerful character in the game which follows a weary of misadventures finally an epic battle between the good n the evil. But what really stays with you is the great action sequences complemented by the stunning visual effects. Amicably speaking  if it would be without the vfx and the action, the story single handedly never could hold the movie together. I understand that many of the sensible cinegoers would probably question that how action is different from some of the recent over the top action movies? To which I fairly answer that those  were portrayed as simple human being but here the protagonist is already coined as a superhero, so doing superhero things were fairly advocated.
Being a so far so good movie , yes Ra.One has its glitches, first and foremost the story which could considerably made more mature, as many a times you would find it way more childish than it should be and completely losing its grip form the logic part. Secondly which I found very irritating is the injection of same old Indian techniques in the screenplay, as director Anubhav Sinha who holds the movie fairly well, there’s no reason behind those silly old techniques to woo the India Junta. Finally  I would say that this movie has got everything Indian audience looks out for, starting from emotion, family virtues, tragedy, comedy, but everything else falls flat except the action scenes (which in some ways could be made more concrete). As it would be little more grip on the logic this movie could be a milestone.
SRK acted nicely (never forgets to give his signature move), Kareena my god, she looks damn hot(even as a mom) and complements to movie, kid on the block Armaan Verma emerged out really well, Arjun Rampal looks awesome apt for the Signature role of Ra.One it’s just that his role should be little more groomed. Sahana goswami is missing for maximum part of the movie, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra were for no good. **
Apart from all the things a lucrative flick this Diwali season with action sequence n VFX which could give a tough completion to some contemporary Hollywood movies. If not for anything else, see it for ** Rajnikant (yes, he’s there).

Revolution 2020 Review
“Love.  Corruption. Ambition” these are the plot keywords with which Mr. Bhagat wants to hit the masses this time. Launching the teaser about 3-4 months back and promoting it since then (thanks to the modern twitter boom), the hyped momentum has quite easily became the best part of it, as I also liked the way things started moving since then. “Great Publicity”
Now quite obviously the question arises that did the 5th counterpart carried off what it promised? Did it really justified that it had strong shoulders to hold the expectations burdened , since the first 4 books literally washed Indian orthodox mind.
So, here’s a mini autopsy on it (Mind that there might be little spoilers ahead, read further if you are really willing to).
Apart for me, who started his novel reading career with Five Point Someone, who is in contemporary India doesn’t come to know Chetan Bhagat? Genuine Person, Great Author, Much Respected.
As of he being choosing “Love. Corruption. Ambition” which are quite easily the 3 most important issues which lingers through Indian body and soul, did he really managed to balance the 3 most competing yet counter relating topic in all through the 296 printed pages? Well he did(kind of).
Elaborating ahead let’s see what are the Hits and Misses #Revolution 2020 has to offer. Hits : Usual, Simple yet interesting story telling, Simple English as every Indian soul empathize with the characters, Every aspect of Varanasi detailed throughout the book admiring the holy city. Misses : Clichéd, un-balanced characterization, somewhat not fully justified with the Name and the tagline of itself.
Continuing the story with the period of 17years, very much focusing on the post adolescence part of the protagonist, this story tells about 3 persons, Gopal, Aarti, Raghav, from a small town Varanasi and how their dreams, love, ambition contemplated as life takes weary turns.
After I first read the teaser I was really amazed to see the idea of the book quite resembling a movie by Sudhir Mishra “Haazaro Khwaishe Aise” , where also the 3 character’s lives fabricated by the tagline words of the book, but that really didn’t happen, but what did happen is that, it seems to be taking some bits and pieces form a lot of the recent Bollywood movies especially Prakash Jha directed, and sharing the same time space as the Anna movement strikes. This is where it started feeling cliché to me, cause being a Bollywood buff and Anna’s mass movement is the thing I still can’t get off my mind.
Even though the name suggest something catchy and provoking, it’s pretty much unutilized and flimsy to what it should be, as you only find it context with a few chapters after 65%completion of the book.
Talking about unbalanced characterization, is where I found the extract of the book little misguiding, as it says “The Story of Three friends”, well in actuality one is completely subdued and Aarti’s character is would gradually become the most controversial one as many of the female readers would be forced to introspect, Unlike the other 4books, where every character has got their share to play.
For those who anticipate the male-female bedded encounter, I should say that, this time Mr.Bhagat tested readers patience, as the narration of it placed in the last quarter of the pages(quite apt though).
Apart from these glitches one thing that I found amusingly interesting is that how the author has managed to disapprove your thought prospective about some of the characters of the book*take the MLA for example*(quite unusual corrupt politician from my perspective ), Very interesting to read.
One of the other thing that is ethnic is the city of Varanasi and how the author has described it in the book, even sitting on the couch you could actually feel the purity of breezes of Ganga. Kudos to  Mr.Bhagat I never read any other book where the city is described so well.
As I finished with the book, I felt that I critiqued so much cause I had a lot of expectations from this one, and I have no intentions to put my perspective on any other readers and how they feel about it. Apart from everything else, quite an easy going book as the heart being in right place.
Rating : **.5/5

20 SEC READING: The older sister’s question
When her brother was born, Sa-chi Gabriel begged her parents to leave her alone with the baby.
They refused, fearing that, as with many four-year-olds, she was jealous and wanted to mistreat him.
But Sa-chi showed no signs of jealousy. And since she was always extremely affectionate towards her little brother, her parents decided to carry out an experiment.
They left Sa-chi alone with their new-born baby, but kept the bedroom door ajar so that they could watch what she did.
Delighted to have her wish granted, little Sa-chi tiptoed over to the cradle, leaned over the baby and said:
“Little brother, tell me what God is like. I’m beginning to forget.”

Indian Premier(Read Pervert's) League
8th of April 2011, doing nothing for the maximum time of the day, around 2030hrs i switched on the the TV to shuffled through channels, as i was doing so, one thing grabbed my look, i saw a cluster of green-black jersey wearing people playing cricket. I watched it about 10mins just to reassure my thought that it was IPL(Indian Perverts League). so here are what i liked n disliked :
DISLIKES : (for obvious reason)
1. I hate Kolkata Kight Riders (The black jersey weirdos) as a team, n I hate florescent yellow as a jersey of Chennai Super Kings.
2. I hate the listening to Mr. Ravi Shastri's Commentary, feels like he's panting and needs a glass of water.
3. I hate Yusuf Pathan not for the sake he looks like an extremist, but for the reason that he's good for nothing, not TEST, surely NOT ONE DAY, not also T20.
4. Technology and Presentation were both disaster, the score card n the color of it looks like an worthless designer's worst collection, The player info presented as in a trashed beer can.
5. Last but the most important, What the hell do the IPL organizers thinking, 6 days later of the MINDBLOWING WC2011. Some serious money making shit.
LIKES :
1. Only the game of cricket hooked me for the unbearable 10mins.
So as the ratio measures 5:1 . I am seriously not liking IPL 2011 . Sorry.
The end

Dad came and yelled me with GYAN for about 45mins.. and what actually I recollect has been posted in my twitter account.. TWITTER so continuing with what happened at Bikaner house while waiting. I’ve reached there at around 12.45pm and called her, she said something went in the road some accident or something and they would be reaching in about 1hr.. I yelled at her, and sit back in the lawn outside. Many people were also waiting there for their bus to come. Many busses came and the place shuffled gradually. While I keep on reading the tweets posted by you guys an old women(THAKUMA) sat beside me. In that scorching weather, I was actually enjoying myself reading your tweets and smiling. I could feel people around me looking at me in doubt why I’m smiling(may be they are thinking am reading some non veg joke or something, that I could feel in their eyes the way they looked at me). Well leaving that behind I kept on doing what I was doing.
After sometime I saw a girl(not so good looking but okay types ) came and talked to the THAKUMA regarding some food they would carry on the trip( they are actually waiting for their bus to come ), and then she took out the charger form the bag and went away.. I again pinned my eyes on the mobile. After about 15mins their bus came. The conductor came out and announced passengers to board the bus, it will be leaving in about 20mins. Without caring about I went into my mobile, BETA, BETA.. THAKUMA called me and said if I could call her girl from inside. I did the same and went inside the ticket counter to call her, she was sitting in a bench with phone in her hand and a book, which she was reading.. she was actually reading ECLIPSE.. I called her and said that her grandma is calling.. she responded and switched off the charger and came along, without even looking at me.. I like a good boy escorted her through the rush at the ticket counter. She came n started talking to her grandma and I sat back in my place, after a while I noticed that she’s actually looking at me in a way that she’d want to see me helping them with their luggage, I couldn’t resist her looks and went up asking if I could help them. The girl didn’t said anything but THAKUMA smiled and nodded her head n I said shit in my mind( I am not eager to carry luggage to the bus which was standing at about 100meters away ) but I did and carried them to the bus.. I went up in the bus and made them sit in their respective seats. While placing their luggage inside their seat, THAKUMA opened her mouth and took out her TEETH and placed them in a small box dipped in water (*YACK*). And what happened later is much more YACKING.. BETA if you could please she said raising her teeth pack towards me. She’s actually asking me to keep them in the bag up in the shelf (*YACK YACK*). But I DID (what else I could do..??) the same. The curious thing is that all the while I was doing this mess the girl actually kept on looking me without helping.. but what I can do about it..?? As I am done, the conductor came and said that there’s some problem with the AC in the bus and it would take about 30 more minutes to work out.. I didn’t react and smiled back at them turn back and went on getting down the bus. EXCUSE ME.. !! the girl called me form back.. YES.. are you going to sit back there..?? she said.. YUP I said n smiled. CAN I COME ALONG..? she said . YUP. I smiled(winked). We came down the bus and sat back there where I was seating earlier. I could feel she’s giving me some BHAW.. n even though I want to resists it. But my testosterone forced me not to do so.. I started the talking in general.. I asked her about her college and about THAKUMA etc. etc. and she replied back about her college in Jaipur and THAKUMA came here to stay with her uncle and now she’s is taking her back. She also asked me questions about my college about the placement of our college etc. and I also replied back.. I don’t know how the topic changed about family matters etc. but in a way she’s talking about her family n friends, not so distinctly but yes she’s still talking.. I also reciprocated back not about family matters but about friends in school and in college, how they are different, how we somehow miss school friends even though we have a bunch in college. She talked about her best friend in school and all that actually didn’t matters. The conductor came and again said that time taken to repair would be more.. I also talked about my friends here in Delhi and back in Kolkata, also talked about stuff happened in between friends how someone just misunderstand you and breaks friendship, how things changed in nick of time, how you get to know someone so vividly that you kind of fall in löve with him/her. How people’s mind changed with the passing of time n etc etc. What I realized that she’s just sat back n keep on listening to me in concentration. Later then she also let some of her experiences shared and many more things. I was just pricking my phone while listening her, n somehow my battery came out n fell under the seat, without caring about anything I gave my head phone which is in my hand in her hand n I did that just like I wanna hold her hand. I basically held her hand in a way that I could support myself while looking underneath the seat. She also held my hand in such a way that, I could feel that she’s actually grasping my palm.. I didn’t why it happened but it happened. I found my battery and raised up my head. As I went busy in attaching the battery, she with her right hand held my wrist and twisted it face up and placed the head phone in it. The way she did that felt me like I’m a good friend of her, or she’s in acquaintance with me. I mean the way a regular friend of your does, if the same thing happened. I didn’t reacted and just smiled back.. then she asked the usual question every other guy ask whoever sees my phone. YOU DON’T HAVE A BATTERY COVER…!!! WHY ARE YOU RUINING SUCH A NICE PHONE..?? god I hate this question, I don’t know why people ask it to me.. ARRE BHAI this is my phone, why the hell are you concerned..?? Okay coming back to topic. I gave her a “not so happy with ur question” look. And she ignored..!! We kept silent for a while, but as the time when I turned my head to start the preceding, she asked a question which made me stunned..!! YOUR GIRLFRIEND WOULD BE VERRY HAPPY WITH YOU NA..? OR WHO EVER WILL BE YOU GIRLFRIEND, SHE WOULD BE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE YOU..!! YOU ARE SO UNDERSTANDABLE. YOU ARE SUCH AN EASE TO TALK WITH. I didn’t know how do I respond to this question as I could feel my conscience n my Y chromosomes declared war with each other. I gave her a weird look, as if I don’t understand what she’s talking. She then throws another question to me. DO YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND..?? I winked at her n said DOES THAT REALLY MATTER TO YOU, I MEAN THAT’S MY PERSONAL MATTER..!! She look at me with a pity in her eyes, as if she angry with my answer or the way I present my answer, but she’s just angry with herself. I don’t how do I write this but I found a insane kind of hatredness in her eyes. As if she hates herself, I even felt that she didn’t even listened my answer. Then there happened a calm silence for about 10mins. Neither I nor her had spoken a word with each other. I could feel her taking deep breath.. but she didn’t even moved her head. ITS READY, GET ON THE BUS ITS LEAVING IN 5MINS. The conductor came n broke the silence. She jumped in her seat as if she’s been woke up form a nightmare as if the conductor’s voice had shaken her up. HEY YOU OKAY…?? I asked her.. YUP M FINE..!! LETS GO OR ELSE THE BUS WILL LEAVE..!! she said.. HEY I M NOT HERE TO BOARD THE BUS.. ACTUALLY M HERE TO RECEIVE SOMEONE..!! A FRINED OF MINE..!! I clarified her. OHH ..!! she said, her xpression shows no way of her discrace..!! IT’S A PLEASURE TALKING TO YOU, M REALLY GLAD I FOUND YOU IN HERE.. !! She says.. ME TOO..!! I REALLY WANT TO KEEP CONTACT WITH YOU IF YOU DON’T MIND OFFCOURSE..!! she says.. WELL KNOW, IT’S A NICE TALKING TO YOU TOO..!! She gave me her email ID n her phone number, but didn’t ask for mine neither she ask me to give her miss call or something like that so that she could save my number. She just left bidding me goodbye with a fake smile in her face.. I know it’s a regular meeting, just like any other thing happening in anybody’s life, but why I was left curious, because of her ways she behaved. The way she led things happened neither cared about the things I would feel after I talked to her.. There’s many kind of people round the globe, some are straight forward ,some are shy, some are generous, some are modest, cunning, undiscoverable.. But I couldn’t find the actual one word to describe her.. I can’t. She’s is just like any other girl shadowy intentions. I never actually understand what she actually craves for..!! Her name is AISHA.
