I was just thinking about Prof Mandelbrot today.  If you haven’t seen his 2010 TED talk, you really should (he passed away in Oct 2010).

PBS: Infinite Series (youtube)
This is a really exciting development in mathematics that I hope has some staying power. PBS has introduced a new YouTube series called Infinite Series that seems to be willing to tackle some of the more advanced and current topics in mathematics. The first one, about n-dimensional spheres, is a good effort.
The host is Kelsey Houston-Edwards. She does a pretty good job of explaining a difficult topic. Credit to the producers for attempting to deal with some really challenging ideas.
