Whiskey Bayou Charters is owned and operated by Captain Joe Ezell, who has been passionate about fishing since his childhood years. Now, sharing that passion with our clients is our number one priority. When you book a fishing charter with us, you’ll be guided by a professional charter captain who is solely focused on you and your group, and making sure you have the fishing trip of a lifetime.

We don't like to book any fishing trips less than a full day because we want to be able to fully devote ourselves to our clients. A standard fishing charter includes fishing the inshore waters of the Delacroix marsh for Redfish and Speckled Trout. Our charter boat is equipped with all of the necessary navigational and safety gear needed for your trip. You will also be provided with premium equipment and tackle, which will be ready prior to your arrival so you can focus on what’s most important: fishing!

Whether you’re new to fishing or not, you will have an expert charter captain by your side to guide you and make sure you and your party have the best experience possible. We love sharing our knowledge and helping people learn how to catch fish, so feel free to ask as many questions as you want! 

A typical fishing trip lasts from first safe light until we limit, you are tired of catching, or we have been on the water for 6-7 hours. Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are all included in the price of your fishing charter, and any fish caught on your trip will be cleaned and bagged for your convenience.

On our fishing charters, we mainly target Redfish and Speckled Trout. However, we do chase other fish species, including Black Drum, Bass, Flounder, and Sheepshead. We always want to make sure our clients have a successful fishing trip. With that being said, we target the species we have the best chance of catching based on the conditions presented to us on the day of your fishing charter.
