Eu voava através daquela janela circular, mergulhando naquele mar de nuvens e estrelas a mim tão próximas. iludida com as paisagens que aquele pedaço de metal no céu mostrava-me.

Contrariada, recuei até sentir o alcochoado da poltrona receber minhas costas, confortável. A pequenina janela circular pareceu-me ainda menor, e o céu, suas estrelas e nuvens se perderam junto com a nitidez de toda a vista. Dor. A melhor parte da viagem fora-me restrita.

Mas é para a sua segurança, dizia-me. O melhor está por chegar, um céu pintado de escuro e brilhos, dizia-me. Então fechei os olhos, e esperei que o metal pesasse mais que o ar, pronto para despencar... e espero, o fim da viagem ou a queda livre.

(Ele voava ao meu lado, se apertou a minha mão, eu não sei, mas não queria que ele fechasse os olhos. É muito mais escuro.)
