And Jeno begs every single higher being in the universe that his roommate and best friend, Na Jaemin, is currently not inside their apartment, because he has convinced himself that if you managed to even get a peek at Jaemin you would instantly fall in love with him and forget why you even came to Jeno’s apartment in the first place.
But of course Lady Luck is never on Jeno’s side; Right as he moves to unlock the door with his key card, the door flies open to reveal a cheery Jaemin with rosy cheeks and a Cheshire Cat grin (and mischievous eyes which Jeno cannot find a reason for).
“Oh! Hi, Jaem!” You exclaim, much to Jeno’s horror, before Jeno can even acknowledge Jaemin’s unexpected welcome (read: jumpscare).
“Y/N! What are you doing here? How have you been?” Jaemin asks as he engulfs you in a warm hug.
This is all too much for Jeno’s heart.
He suddenly feels lightheaded and nauseous and sweaty all at once at the revelation that Jaemin was indeed home, and worse, you already know Jaemin and seem close enough (closer to him than Jeno) for Jaemin to hug you. Jeno’s blood turns ice cold and and he thinks that he’s one second away from fainting and or throwing up.
Fortunately Jaemin notices the big, sad puppy eyes that Jeno is shooting him as well as his slightly pouted lips and immediately lets you go to ask if Jeno is okay.
Jeno feels his heart stop in his chest as he sees you turn to him with a concerned gaze, pretty eyes widened worriedly.
“Y-yeah! I’m fine! I was just, um, so shocked and surprised after you opened the door so suddenly!” Jeno sputters, waving his hands in front of himself frantically to convince you and Jaemin (and himself) that he is fine.
“Okay…” you nod your head, albeit unsurely, and follow Jaemin through the front door of the apartment.
And as Jeno chokes on his own spit when he accidentally meets your eyes when you turn around to check on him (again) with a worried face (again) while Jeno is in the middle of taking in a larger than necessary breath in a failed attempt to calm his racing heart, gently patting his hairline to prevent any tiny beads of sweat that collected on his scalp in his flustered state, he knows that he’s absolutely screwed if he thinks that he can last the whole night within an arm’s length distance from you without passing out.

“guys!!! how do you place blocks?!” mark interjects

you snicker and promptly join their server

every time he tried to get it back, you would just outrun him

“who’s most likely to have their sex tape leaked?” renjun giggles as he flips over his most likely to card onto the small coffee table you were all sitting around.
“jaemin is!!!” haechan shrieks, “he’s already halfway there!”
your entire group, consisting of you, jaemin, haechan, jeno, renjun, and mark, errupts into ear piercing laughter. minus jaemin, of course.
apparently it was jaemin’s turn to be the target of his friend group’s teasing during tonight’s edition of their weekly game night.
“it was only one time! and it was an accident!!!” jaemin tries to defend himself, the tips of his ears beginning to burn red.
“but your moon is still all over the internet!” renjun snorts.
for reference, during one of your streams, you shared your twitter direct message chat between you and jaemin to prove to your chat that jaemin never responded to any of your dms.
ever the stream sniper, jaemin, who also happened to be streaming, took it upon himself to respond to your message right away to prove you wrong to your chat.
unfortunately, as he went to send you an ugly blackmail selfie that you took on his phone (from what you considered to be the most unflattering of unflattering angles), taken from his hidden folder in his camera roll, he accidentally sent a different, private photo instead.
even more unfortunate, the picture happened to be a screenshot from a video of jaemin getting up from the ground after losing (falling down face first) in a round of twister in the ultimate twister tournament that your house was holding on stream. what’s worse is that in the screenshot, jaemin is seen pulling up his too big sweatpants that slipped down just enough to expose the top half of his ass.
luckily, jaemin’s indecency was never actually captured on stream. unluckily, the demon on jaemin’s shoulder that breathes down the back of his neck, you, managed to capture both jaemin’s face plant and his half-assed (ba dum tss) attempt at saving face and pulling up his sweats on video.
and being the sweetest angel that you are, you immediately shared this video with your group chat so you could all cackle at jaemin’s series of unfortunate events together.
both you and jaemin were so flabbergasted at his critical mistake that the two of you simultaneously ended your streams to protect the last remaining bits of jaemin’s modesty. immediately after, you heard jaemin let out the loudest muffled yell from his room next to yours.
you then spent the next few hours (days) with the rest of your roommates trying your best to console jaemin, distracting him from his phone so he wouldn’t see the endless amount of memes and hashtags that were found under his now trending name.
of course, after jaemin recovered from his initial embarrassment when the memes died down, you and your friends resumed your endless teasing and pestering, even going as far as to rename your group chat “na jaemoon”.
“he’d have to have sex first to have a sex tape leaked, though,” renjun snickers.
“hey!” jaemin exclaims, “i get plenty of ass!”
“doesn’t look like it,” you say nonchalantly, staring inconspicuously at your phone screen.
jaemin peers down over your shoulder and sees that you have the screenshot pulled up.
“hey!!! you said you deleted it!” jaemin yells again, lunging for your phone.
jeno swiftly takes the phone off your hands before jaemin is able to snatch it.
“looks like jaemin’s been skipping leg day,” jeno comments after examining the picture up close.
“shut up!!!”
