So, I'm watching Prince of Egypt on Peacock. I'm crying. My cat's crying. Everyone is crying. Fucking משה רבנו is literally lifting his fucking staff to split the red fucking sea, when this big fucking square pops up in the corner of the screen saying: "Streaming next: Monsters High" with a picture of some ugly cartoon, and let me tell you, I got right on the phone to the ADL to report a hate crime.

hi im here to talk about Prince of Egypt. One of the best animated movie scores!! Animation? gorgeous. will never stop talking about the parting of the sea. Deliver Us and Through Heavens Eyes make me bawl. The Plagues??? Slaps s o hard. Im celebrating my first passover away from home with friends from college and watching PoE is a tradition for my family so Im gonna show it to them >:3c

literally. i dont think ill ever be over this movie!! i cant do it!!!! the genius of framing a massive incredibly important historical and religious event through the lens of the relationship of two brothers. the genius of Yochaved’s lullaby echoing throughout the entire movie during important events in moses’ life. bc she’ll be with him “when he dreams”. The way the entire movie only exists because of a mother’s enduring love for her son, and then a sister’s love for her brother. i cant do it im gonna cry

also!! I just watched this documentary about the making of the movie!! its really good

I love that movie so fuckin’ much. It’s a masterpiece, about Exodus, the story of Moses. It’s DreamWorks, animated, but everyone who has watched it agrees that it’s a beautiful but forgotten film that definitely needs more attention.

Please. I love it. It has beautiful music, visuals, and story. It’s barely a kids film, with death, slavery, but it’s also a story of the people. Of redemption, realization, faith, and so much more. 

For the people who HAVE watched it, I know you agree with me.

Thinking about how Moses and Ramses don't actually SING in The Prince of Egypt. Like, their songs are presented as their thoughts. They're not actual *songs* so to speak. For me, it hits deeper. Especially "Ten Plagues." They're having this really intense conversation without actually using words. And it's so POWERFUL and ugh I weep.
