went looking online for preloved reality in black album for sale and befriended a seller by initiating further conversation about whether they will be attending Wheein, Moonbyul, or Hwasa's solo concerts. they shared that they are a recent fan of mamamoo from being a casual listener of mostly boy groups, and knew about mamamoo because they were intrigued by hwasa on various korean variety shows, assumed that she was a senior artist and went to look her up and then they plunged into the hole.

I genuinely thought that was an interesting story of how another person discovered mamamoo. then they asked me when I discovered them? I kinda froze for a moment because I don't keep track so I came back on here to my beloved mamamoo side blog to backtrack, and today I am reminded that I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF MAMAMOO SINCE NOVEMBER 2015, A YEAR AFTER THEIR DEBUT. wow. it has been 9 - whole - years. and yet I still remember how it felt watching the fancam of one of their countless university festival shows, this particular one in the drawing, so charmed by their natural charisma on stage and outstanding performance skills. I am so lucky to have experienced that. thank you my new moomoo friend for entertaining my conversations and prompting me to savour the memories of my journey of loving mamamoo.

I wonder why wheein doesn’t seem as ready? to release tracks which are written by her, or perhaps the issue lies in whether or not she wants or is willing to try taking on more creative agency in her music. this thing is prominent when we regard her solo music alongside the other mmm members, who all showed higher participation in songwriting in their solo releases. I’ve been wondering about this!

MELTING OVER THEIR RECENT PHOTO POSTS (the countryside)

random things ive been loving abt mamamoo

- rewatched many of their mmmtv episodes and noticed that moonbyul tends to be the one to lead in goofing around by giving directions, mostly to wheein, lmao. and of course they oblige the mastermind every single time.

- wheein likes whispering/talking into hyejin’s ear, i find it so amusing. seems like it’s one of their communication quirks.

- hyejin has been seen actively driving brainstorming sessions, especially when the rest have gotten a little quieter. seeing this side of her is nice.

- moonbyul seems to instinctively do popping whenever they all begin to hyper up and dance for whatever reason.

- solar and wheein together is EXPLOSIVE ENERGY SQUARED bcoz both of them display much less restraint than moonbyul and hyejin do. like, they’ll be the last 2 people of any group they’re part of to get tired of laughing. BUT THAT’S WHY I LOVE THEM TOGETHER THEY CATCH ON TO EACH OTHER REALLY QUICKLY.

- continuing from above, wheesol probably have a lower tendency than hwabyul to feel embarrassed, hence more likely to go wild more quickly. case in point: when solar initially refused to dance to lee hyori’s change but eventually gave in to their begging and did it anyway lol. it doesn’t mean they don’t feel embarrassed but they usually go ahead and do things anyway and it’s so pure of them.

- when there’s food on the table, wheein can become super focused on eating.

- wheein appears to have the best memory of their group choreography, and also most likely to remain calm under stressful conditions (based entirely on the past 2 random play dance segments on weekly idol).
