My First Post

So my first post, what should it be? I think it’s super relevant to talk about Simon Sinek More specifically, his book “Leaders Eat Last”. Link to the book on Amazon here for reference: https://amzn.to/3cWQBor

Why, you ask? Because, to me, this book means a great deal.  I’m working towards a people management position within my company, as that’s where I want my career to head.. eventually. In my near-endless pursuit of information to be better tomorrow than I am today, and to feel motivated in my personal development, I stumbled upon Simon Sinek. He’s a motivational speaker who uses a LOT of his time with Fortune500 companies as well as speaking to larger crowds (for instance “how to: Academy”) In leaders eat last, Simon speaks about what a good leader is, vs. what a bad leader is, and how they affect their teams, be they big or small, to perform and feel better.. or worse. I think it’s definitely worth a read/listen and a good source of comparison for your own workplace, especially now amidst COVID-19 and how your nearest leader(s) handle the whole situation of remote work.
