AspenClan, Moon 1
Palestar has continued to receive intense visions over the past moon. She still hasn’t told a soul despite them getting worse and a sense of dread filling the leader’s stomach. Palestar plans to share their visions with the medicine cat, but they can’t ever seem to catch Hollyjay by himself.
Bushberry leads a dangerous patrol as he, Zinniaseed, Olivepaw and Piperpaw try to chase a large dog out of their territory. However things go wrong when Zinniaseed’s leg in caught in the beast’s jaw causing the other members of the patrol to take the defensive and attempt to rescue her.
Zinniaseed is safely delivered to the medicine cat den where Hollyjay treated her mangled leg and put her on nest rest.
The warrior is soon joined by Piperpaw who embarrassed themselves after pouncing onto a sharp rock whilst sparring with Lyrepaw. The she-cat sulks, stating that she just wanted to impress the kits who were having a mock battle before she and Lyrepaw joined in. Zinniaseed chuckles before sharing stories of her apprentice days to the down-on-her-luck apprentice, hoping that it would distract her from both her sore paws and degrading thoughts.
Hollyjay is reduced to giggles after watching Palestar bump into everything in their path. Cobweb collection has been a success with such an enthusiastic patrol member. Hopefully Lyrepaw will follow in her path and not worry about getting their pelt dirty like they currently are.
The ever troublesome Honeykit has snuck out of camp again, but has returned unharmed and looking very proud of herself. The warriors believe that she will only grow to cause more problems within the Clan and pity the poor soul that will have to act as her mentor.

SageClan, Moon 0
Blizzardstar finds themself worrying about Clan relations, feeling as if they made a mistake in becoming Clan leader. She’s only eighteen moons old after all. This is part of the reason that she sent Ferretfleck, her deputy, to talk to AspenClan’s leader, she had always been close with Paleleaf and so maybe she would be willing to build an alliance. She can do nothing but hope that her old Clanmate will agree to her proposition.
Bushkit was causing problems around camp, agitating Ferretfleck, before she was nipped on the rump by Tricklequill for being naughty.
Lightfur was injured whilst out on patrol, becoming trapped under a fallen branch for many hours whilst she was out patrolling by herself. Although she left uninjured she decided to check in with the medicine cat, Oaksilk, just in case. To her surprise, Lightfur was visited by Robincrackle, a fellow warrior, who heard of her accident and decided to bring some fresh-kill to the medicine cat den.
Oatkit has always seemed to be in their own world, so it’s a bit unexpected when the strange kit becomes the apprentice of Blizzardstar. But maybe an apprentice is what the uneasy leader needs to prove that they’re what this Clan needs.
The Clan didn’t get any better when it was revealed by Thundertalon that Tricklequill had been found dead in their den that morning. He decides not to mention that the young Bushkit had been nuzzling against a dead body, not wanting to cause the Clan any more dismay.

PineClan, Moon 0
All the happenings in PineClan seem to be revolving around the deputy, Rushmark, this moon,
He first watched on with pride as the favourite of his two apprentices, Bitternpaw, became a warrior and received the name Bitternripple. The tom is honoured for their kindness and Rushmark believes themself to be lucky to have been able to train such an amazing cat.
He then received some troubles from Silentpaw, his least favourite apprentice, as she refused to follow Rushmark’s order, saying that they went against her morals. Rushmark finds her irritating and prefers to spend his time training Burrowpaw, the daring and charismatic tabby that recently became apprenticed to him.
On top of all of his apprentice drama he was also recently caught enjoying a moonlit stroll with Fadedstar, causing whispers to circulate among the apprentices.

MapleClan, Moon 0
Dawnkit worried for the eldest of their littermates after they were strongly reprimanded by their nest mother for bringing pointy thorns into the nest. Heatherkit seemed not to care, already planning their next daring feat despite the younger kit’s worry. This wouldn’t be the only problem in the nursery as Bluebellkit adamantly refused to eat the herbs that Sandflame was trying to feed her, causing the medicine cat some stress.
Doestar, a long-furred brown tabby, was marking the border lines by herself when she was suddenly ambushed by a group of angry rogues. Doestar is nearly caught in the teeth of one of the rogues before they suddenly snap out of their trance, dodging and weaving through their enemies, before pelting back to camp yowling out warnings to anyone outside of camp. Later on Doestar will remember how much of a patrol this group was when EdenClan was in the height of their greencough epidemic, killing off a handful of their strong warriors in such a sad time. Doestar makes sure to tell her warriors to stay vigil and to flee if they ever saw this dangerous group.
Creampaw, the compassionate apprentice of Perchfleck, has grown greatly in their time as an apprentice, becoming the voice of reason inside of MapleClan, this is most likely the reason why Doestar believes them to be ready to become a warrior. But they still have to sit through the long ceremony as Doestar rattled on, prolonging the already long ceremony. But Creampaw has no complaints as they are named Creamcry and honoured for their benevolence.

BirchClan, Moon 0
Tansyshell, the deputy, was leading a patrol with Heronstripe, a strange tom, and Beechpaw, her charismatic apprentice. She ordered her patrol to stand down when they heard a strange noise emerge from the nearby bushes. Being the most experienced, Tansyshell crept over to investigate, only to find a nursing queen with a litter of noisy kittens. Tansyshell quickly learnt that the queen’s name was Suncatcher and that they were a travelling loner with no real home. The deputy didn’t want to leave the vulnerable family alone in BirchClan territory and so she decided to invite them into the Clan, stating that growing kits needed a stable home. She was quick to order Heronstripe and Beechpaw around, helping the family journey towards the clearing they would soon call home.
Tansyshell’s action with the loner would cause a little bit of trouble with one of the Clans on the other side of the Thunderpath when they insisted that Suncatcher and his kits come live in their Clan, so the kits could spend time with their true father. The Clan would quickly be shut down by Tansyshell and Beechpaw, who proceeded to heckle them for the rest of the gathering.
Beechpaw, the charismatic apprentice working under Tansyshell has grown into a loving cat who manages to catch the attention of many with his speeches. Palestar announces him to be a warrior of the Clan, honouring him for his spirit. Beechpaw proudly takes on the name Beechshade, happy to become a warrior for the Clan he’s grown to love.
Ripplefeather had to patrol with a warrior escort after tearing their pelt on some dense shrubs. However she seemed to get the short end of the stick when the ever-strange Toadsnap was the one to accompany her on the herb gathering patrol. Things were slightly awkward before the tortoiseshell asked the tabby for some assistance with a vision she had recently had. The two would enter a heavy discussion as they tried to divine Toadsnap’s vision.
Their questions would be answered by the end of the moon when Toadsnap discovered that she was heavy with kits. She was thankful for the stars for guiding her towards the answers for her strange ailments.

AspenClan, Moon 0
Soon after the split, Paleleaf (now Palestar), started having vivid dreams that she believes to be from StarClan. She decided to keep these visions to herself, not wanting to worry her already small Clan about some visions that might not even come true.
Bushberry, the deputy of AspenClan, headed out for a border patrol with his apprentice, Piperpaw, a faithful she-cat. However they soon notice that a SageClan scent has strayed into their territory, and it’s not long before they discover Ferretfleck, the SageClan deputy. The she-cat claims that she has important news for Palestar, giving the patrol no choice but to lead their visitor to Palestar.
The polite tom, Lyrekit, has grown into a loving cat who wants nothing more than to become an apprentice. Excitement rushes through their blood as they’re named Lyrepaw and apprenticed to Palestar. Unfortunately luck doesn’t seem to be on their side this moon as they caught the case of the sniffles.
Honeykit is barely two moons old and already causing trouble. The quiet she-cat managed to sneak out of camp, returning with scrapes and cuts along their pelt. She was reprimanded heavily by Icypurr, an elder who had come to care for the Clan kits, but that didn’t stop her from feeling prideful about her little adventure.

Prologue
EdenClan. The strongest Clan on their side of the Thunderpath. The lone survivor of the valley brawl. The open arms of the dangerous forest. But it was soon to only be remembered by their ancestors who walk the stars of Silverpelt.
Tricklequill sighed, the past few moons hadn’t been a good one for their Clan. It had all started with a kit. A border patrol had found the little thing and brought it back to camp to be seen by the medicine cats, but nobody could have known the trouble this would cause. It had started out as kittencough, they would hack and cough all day long, no amount of catmint seemed to help their illness. Then it started to spread.
Seven moons later their Clan of two-hundred-and-thirteen had dwindled down to fifty. This wouldn’t have been too bad if it weren’t for the warriors. None of them had ever been in line to become the leader or the deputy so now arguments broke out, night and day, about who should lead the wondrous EdenClan. But these arguments went nowhere.
Tricklequill was getting older, he didn’t have many moons left in him and all he wanted was for this problem to be resolved. But he could’ve never foreseen what was to come. Silentpaw, a long furred tortoiseshell she-cat, had pointed out to the arguing warriors that there were the same amount of potential leaders as there were medicine cats. From this point onwards the collapse of EdenClan was in the very close future, and nothing could be done to stop this.
The eldest of the medicine cats, Sandflame, seemed tired as she arranged which cats would go into what Clan. But there were only four elders, not too much to worry about there, that’s why Tricklequill believed her stress to be about what was to become of the orphaned kits. There were fifteen of them, some of them barely opening their eyes, and others bouncing around waiting impatiently for the day they would become an apprentice. It was a miracle that so many of them were able to survive the epidemic that would usually be fatal to cats their age, but there was now the problem of what Clan they would call home in the future.
Tricklequill could only watch in dismay as arguments broke out between Sandflame and the new Clan leaders. None of them wanted to take in cats that would cause them trouble, but the medicine cat was adamant that if the weaker were not taken in then they wouldn’t get their fancy new Clans.
But eventually the problems were resolved. EdenClan was to be no more, in its place would be AspenClan, BirchClan, MapleClan, PineClan and SageClan, led by Paleleaf, Wishspeckle, Doedapple, Fadedfeather and Blizzardspeck, respectfully.
Tricklequill could only hope that these Clans could live up to the expectation of EdenClan. His home.
