calling the cops on an unhoused person for being weird/rude/"scary" in public is so weird to me on such a fundamental level... like even before you get to political beliefs about jail and homelessness, you are beefing with a dude who has to live on the sidewalk. like sorry if he was rude to you dude sorry if he made you uncomfortable but to be fair he lives and sleeps on the fucking sidewalk. sorry if hes being too mentally unwell on the street late at night but like you gotta understand that he lives on the fucking sidewalk. sorry if he seems a little bit "off" today dude i think maybe its because he lives on the fucking goddamn sidewalk

What would you do…
If you were born into an open air prison? If you were orphaned before your 8th birthday? If you had little to no opportunity for employment regardless of how hard you studied or how well you did in school? If you witnessed your friends and family and neighbors get carpet bombed repeatedly over 20 years? If your grandparents and parents and yourself were made refugees in your own country? If you were confined to a 25x5mile strip of land with walls on 3 sides and the sea on the other? If those walls had remote controlled machine guns and sniper towers built into it and meant certain death if you approached them? If you were food insecure as a direct calculated result of what was allowed to enter those walls? If you saw your neighborhood flattened into a pile of rubble? If your local schools, hospitals, bakeries, churches, and mosques were bombed with precision air strikes? If you had to pick up and examine severed limbs scattered across your street in hopes you wouldn’t recognize who they belonged to? If you had to scratch and claw at the rubble and dust of what used to be your home that now lies beneath your feet while you holler your children’s or parents’ names in hopes you hear their voices? If everything you ever loved was martyred? If all of your pain and suffering was the result of a 55 year military occupation? If none of it was your fault?
What would you do if you were born in Gaza?
