Plans for 2018

I’ve been pretty inactive on this blog but I have been active on writing on AFF and then I got an AO3 account as a request from my friend (because she’s too lazy)

So this year, I’m going to participate (maybe) in the Gajevy fest this year (I also have to finish that first date one), then I’m going to start with what I call “the Adventures of *so and so* where there is not much of a plot just what happens in college.

And then maybe I’l start that vampire one and then I started writing and idea for a closet geek (it’s very cliche so hush)

I could finally start learning korean because have a drama idea that would go quite well with the kdrama concept

I’ll write something for Jicheol day as well (I missed it last year because there wasn’t like a fest going on)

I’m also starting college soon and I’m going to be around new people so let’s hope I actually write and not die

I’ll probably be more active on AO3 and AFF but you can see my writings on AO3

So, recently my friend went to this event and this little, 9 year old girl starts singing I knew You were trouble and like another tay tay song

and my friend just went “who is teaching you to sing these songs you’re like 9″

i responded with “when i was 9, i was singing I write Sins not tragedies and the best of both worlds”

“dude, that is a very huge contrast in songs”

and that’s when i realised

i’ve been a contradiction since I was a child

i have not changed much in my song choices

Hey, Tumblr! We hope the week two prompts for Mental Health Month are treating you well. In the spirit of the theme, posting it for each other, we wanted to celebrate one of the most helpful communities out there: yours. You’ve helped shape Tumblr into an incredible community for support. To take a look into exactly how it’s flourished over the years, we teamed up with Fandometrics (@thefandometrics) to bring you some sweet, sweet data.

How you talk about mental health

Discussion around #mental health has steadily grown year over year since 2013, with a 248% uptick of original posts and reblogs made between 2013 and 2016. In that same time span, original posts and reblogs about #therapy increased 29%. Much of that conversation was rooted in real people sharing real stories. Emotional and honest stories, like how therapy can help you better understand your life, how to say good-bye to the wrong therapist, or the difficulty of making the sometimes daunting decision to begin therapy for the first time.

There has also been a significant rise in people seeking ways to take care of themselves. The self-care movement has seen huge increases in searches (733%) and original posts (567%) between 2013 and 2016. Over the past six months, we’ve seen total engagement (searches, original posts, reblogs, and likes) around the #self-care tag spike with correlations to holidays and events in the news:

240% increase the day after the US Presidential Election

321% in the days following Christmas and Hanukkah

561% in the days leading up to the Inauguration, and

342% in the days following Valentine’s Day.

Anatomy of a post

To get a better understanding of what the public-facing conversations consist of, we looked at the top posts for the #mental health, #positivity, and #self-care tags from the past few years. We noticed a few trends that continued to appear over and over again:

Masterposts, a one-stop shop of information on topics like learning new hobbies, treating yourself on a budget, and resources for different mental health issues continually pop up in these tags.

Doodles like @thelatestkate’s positive messages illustrated with cats or @gemmacorrell’s Self Care Reward Stickers are a Tumblr favorite. There’s also been a neato collaborative trend where someone doodles a text post made by someone else,  like this art of living by cat principles, by @bisexualpiratequeen and @skunkaru.

Text Art like @sexioto’s reminder to take your meds and @peytonfulford’s message of more self love turn the text itself into art. In the mental health space, text art most frequently comes in the form of reminders, like to stay hydrated and to make yourself a priority.

Make your dash more positive

Because this is all about posting it for each other, here are a few great blogs to make your Tumblr experience more positive and healthy:

Positive Vibes (@posiviibes) provides positive and friendly text art in soothing colors.

LGBT+ Positivity (@goodpositivitylgbt) focuses on messages of positivity and validation for the LGBT+/MOGAI community.

Why Did You Feel Proud Today? (@todayifeltproud), a space to submit your accomplishments, big and small.

Day 1

Gajevy week is here!! Yay!!!  This story is like a soulmate au where you have a mark on any part of your body and your soulmate has the exact same mark on the exact same part. 

Prompt: Matching

Levy honestly didn’t want to believe this whole soulmate thing but with her best friend finding hers and the metal heart on the inside of her wrist, it’s getting a little hard. Everyone around her were finding their soulmates and constantly asked where her other half was.

Levy had found a way to deal with those questions by holding a stack of books to their faces. I mean, if this whole soulmate thing didn’t exist books would be her soulmate. They were always something Levy loved and that’s kind of how she and Lucy became best friends.

Lucy found her soulmate a few months ago and they became inseparable. But whenever Levy is around, Natsu makes sure to include her in going out. Natsu has tried to persuade her out of her books as he says “The more, the merrier” yet there has been times when Levy didn’t decline.

Today was one of those days where she declined. She had an entire period of no class so she decided to go up to the roof to read her books. It was bright and sunny but she knew a particular spot that would shade her from the glaring sun. She didn’t even bother to check if there was anyone else on the roof until she tripped on a bag and fell down, dropping her books in the process.

Surprisingly, she didn’t fall on the concrete floor, because she fell on someone and her books happened to end up on that someone.

“Oi! What gives?” a husky voice yelled. Levy got up as fast as she could and saw the person she fell on.

Gajeel Redfox. The boy no one really knows about because they’re too scared to even approach him. He’s got that look where he’ll just punch you for the hell of it. Even the teachers don’t dare to mess with him.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t see you there!” Levy said quickly. Gajeel sat up looking pissed off. Either that or that’s just his face. Levy couldn’t tell. She grabbed her books and apologised again.

“What are you doing up here anyway? Don’t you have class?” he asked. She was a little hesitant to answer him but she wasn’t scared of him. “I actually don’t and I wanted to read. It’s quiet up here.”

“Yeah it is. Plus this spot is real nice. I can sleep here.” he says. “Um… can I check something?”

“Check something? What does he mean check something?” she thinks. “Check what?” she asks. He says nothing and reaches for her wrist. He turns it over and pulls the fabric to reveal the metal heart.

“Is this your soulmate mark?” he asks. She nods. He doesn’t say anything as he goes up to his and reveals the exact same metal heart just like hers on the inside of his wrist.

“I was sleeping in class one day and you were sitting next to me. I opened my eyes and saw that on your wrist.” he says. Levy’s eyes widened. Holy shit she found her soulmate. Well, there goes trying to ignore it.

“I wanted to talk to you about it but I couldn’t bring myself to” he continued, he scratched his head. “Sorry”

Levy was still stunned at the fact that she actually found her soulmate. However, this silence wouldn’t do any of them any good.

“It’s okay. Don’t beat yourself over it.” she says with a smile. Gajeel blushes and looks away.

“Can you do me a favour?” he asks. “What is it?” she replies with interest.

“Can you read to me? Whatever you’re reading?” he’s still blushing and slowly turns his head to Levy. She smiles at him. “Sure”

Levy sits down against the wall and squeaks when Gajeel places his head on her lap. “This is way better than the floor” he says. Levy couldn’t move so she opens her book and begins reading. Gajeel smiles at the sound of her voice.
