I love to photograph weddings! I love weddings because they pack every emotion into one day and sometimes into 5 minutes! I love the build up, the excitement, the last minute changes, the mishaps, and the perfectly laid plans. Surprise, joy, happiness, sadness can all be guests at a wedding. So much emotion packed into one day!
I blend photography styles to photograph both posed and unposed images. This allows me to capture the raw emotion and at the same time ensure that no one is missing from the photos. I meet with every bride (and groom if he wants) to discuss ideas (it’s your day after all!!!). Between us we will plan the day. I'll photograph this and all the unplanned stuff as well.

Why I am passionate about Wedding Photography CorkyWhat’s not to love about weddings it’s such a wonderful combination of two people madly in love’ and people who love them and want to share in their special day, beautiful fashion, a gathering of old and new friends and fabulous food all in a wonderful location and if I am lucky I get to photograph it.From the moment the couple arrive for a consultation and discuss their hopes and dreams for their wedding day I am captured in the magic of their special day I love to hear all about the flowers. Dress, cake what they hope to get from their wedding photography and as the wedding day draws closer I love to see the excitement in their faces.
When the wedding day arrives I head off with my camera bag packed and my survival kit which is usually bottle of water, banana and some headache tablets.Onces I have arrived at the place of preparation whether it be the bride’s family home or a hotel room I love to feel the excitement hear the nervous chatter and smell the beautiful perfume and flower scent in the air.Once I have checked that we are all on schedule and my bride is happy I go about photographing every special detail of this most wonderful day the dress, the flowers shoes even the jewellery no detail goes unphotographed. I love seeing the dress for the first time. During the consultations I will have heard all about this dress and finally I get to see it and take in every detail with my cameraI then get into photographing everything that is happening the bride and her bridal party having there makeup and hair done mum rinsing out the cups at the kitchen sink everything that documents what was happening on the day.Then comes reveal time when the bride is all dressed and ready to show everyone who is waiting to see how beautiful she looks at this stage my camera is working overtime capturing everyone reactions all the ohh and ahhs the tears from family members such a beautiful time that my camera and I capture.Then it’s off to the ceremony whether it be a civil or church each couple add their own individual style to their ceremony with beautiful music poems and prayers even though we can’t capture the words we capture the expression of everyone as they are carried away on the emotions of the ceremony.Once the I DO’S have been said it’s great to see everyone greeting the happy couple.Then depending on the weather, location and wedding plans we head off to make those magic photos of the happy couple with their bridal party which I do love I understand that not every couple are not comfortable in front of the camera so we just do some simple relaxed photographs.Then its back to the reception to capture the rest of the day until its time for us to pack up our camerasWe look forward to hearing from you!

5 Expert Tips For Your Engagement Shoot
Some people may think you’re being a little extra by having an engagement shoot, but I’d say it’s kind of a big deal, as much as the actual wedding photography. Those photos signify a beautiful time in your life – those precious few months of being engaged! There are also some fab ways you can use these photos. Your wedding stationery, a gorgeous slideshow at your wedding, engagement party invites, or you could just frame them and display them in your home. Regardless of your reasons for choosing to have an engagement shoot, we’ve got five tips so you get the most out of this experience!

Choose your photographer wisely
And by this, I mean, resist the urge to find someone ‘who doesn’t cost an arm and a leg’. One of the biggest benefits of having an engagement shoot is that it’ll help you get comfortable in front of the camera. Most of us don’t have the privilege of being photographed all the time, so you want to start familiarising yourself with this phenomenon before your wedding day. When selecting your photographer for your engagement shoot, I highly recommend choosing the person who you’d like to photograph your wedding day. That way, you’ll be super comfortable with him/her before your wedding day even arrives!
Location location location
An experienced photographer will be able to make you look amazing no matter where the photos are taken. But, you’re going to want to pick a location that has a few cute spots to form the backdrop of your photos. Whether you love the outdoors (think mountains, fields, forests and beaches) or you’re more the indoor type (coffee shops, a beautiful mall, or your own home), the location sets the tone for the photoshoot. Choose something you love that will show off your personality!
Use props to make it fun
Still feel like you’re going to be a little camera shy? Incorporate some simple props into your engagement shoot. Cute teacups, balloons, a game, or even just a lovely bench. If you’ve got something to do, you’re less likely to be thinking ‘What do I do with my hands?’ and more likely to look like the relaxed and happy couple you are!
Neutral colours are a winner
When you choose your outfit, pick something flattering (of course) and neutral. Shades of blue, brown, grey or white are timeless, classic and will complement any backdrop you choose. You want the focus to be on YOU, not your clothing.
Just breathe and relax
Your engagement shoot is meant to be fun, so try not to overthink it. Allow your photographer to direct the shoot and just enjoy being with your partner. The best photos are the natural, unposed ones, in my opinion. If you really want to see your partner smile naturally, take a moment to whisper in his/her ear during the photoshoot. Tell your other half why you chose him/her and let your photographer capture the magic!

The Mixtape“The Mixtape played at our wedding in April in Johnstown Estate and were the highlight of a fantastic night! From the moment they began playing to the very end of the night, the dance floor was full of people enjoying themselves. The Connor McKeon Band“We spent a great deal of time researching bands for our wedding. We saw Connor and the guys perform in the Liquor Rooms. We had been to a load of weddings and showcases and most bands these days are hard to tell apart. Connor is one of a kind, a great front man, and really got the crowd going. We had Peter perform for our drinks reception and he was fantastic as was their DJ after the band. The dance floor was packed all night. The Panoramics“We booked the Panoramics for our wedding at Clonabreany House on 11th November 2016, and have to say that they were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. The band were so accommodating and they also agreed to play a song for the first dance that wasn’t on their set list. Tops tips for choosing a wedding band
There are a few things on every couples wedding wishlist, things they rate highly for their wedding day. But there are two that always make the cut regardless of the style of wedding you’re after – great food and great music. Music is so important for the overall ambience of the wedding, if the band or DJ gets people up dancing, the craic can be had. So choosing who your guests will rock out to is an important decision with plenty of things to think about.
