Yeah that bug is the one that I specifically was referring to in my original video. The stuff about Nintendo's response is definitely real too, as several media outlets at the time reported on it.

Though I do also know about gay miis being potentially game breaking (since, yknow, the game itself was never designed to account for it). The same glitch can be replicated if you use a save editor to force two same gender miis to be set as sweethearts, but again, it is something that will cause unpredictable errors if you decide to test it for yourself

It might be about time for me to make some corrections to my old Tomodachi Life videos, especially since every Nintendo Direct it seems like interest in the game significantly increases. I know way more now than I did back then which is saying a lot since I already knew WAY more than the average person regarding stuff in the game, but it at least means there's a lot of things that I can share that I wasn't able to back then. Though, be prepared for me to sound completely different than I did when I made the video because I wasn't on testosterone at the time 💀

Late response, but yeah I've been aware of the busted links for a bit cus I was planning on updating them when I got a commissioned theme, but the person I commissioned for it hasn't gotten back to me in a long time so I decided to get rid of the links anyways. Most of all you will need to know is available on the pinned post, so if anyone is specifically looking for tags or anything that's your cue to check there

Trust me, if I had the power I would :,)

Honestly I have a running theory that it could never come out because of the whole "promising gay relationships thing in the sequel" but as a company Nintendo has become significantly more open to the idea over time, especially in the past few years. My expectations are low solely because if I keep them low then I won't be disappointed or I will end up being pleasantly surprised

(for those not in the know, the videos in question are this and this. Speaking of, I plan to eventually make follow ups to them, I just have been working on other stuff so I haven't thought much about it, though I definitely have an idea of what I would want to do)

The daytime theme's leitmotif in Tomodachi Collection can be heard in both Smash Bros. remixes of the Tomodachi Life daytime theme about halfway through each song. The first remix originates from Super Smash Bros. for 3ds and Wii U, and the second is from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

For the US release of Tomodachi Life, Nintendo released five celebrity Miis which could be added into the game, including Christina Aguilera, Shaquille O'Neal, Debby Ryan, Shaun White, and Zendaya. Below the cut are all the available QR codes for these Miis.

The Japanese version of Tomodachi Life (Known as Tomodachi Collection: New Life) has a partner application you can install called the Tomodachi Collection: New Life Mii Moving Software. This application allows you to transfer Miis from Tomodachi Collection to Tomodachi Collection: New Life. This can also be done upon creating a new save file in the main game without this application, which also skips the tutorial for you automatically. The above video is a demonstration of the Transfer Tool.

An upcoming mod for Tomodachi Life by @Kobazco on Twitter unlocks gay relationships in the game! Though currently still in development, almost all interactions have been tested and work properly (aside from confessions), so be sure to keep an eye out for development updates

In the Korean version of Tomodachi Life, there is an exclusive "Blind Date" feature, where a Mii will ask you to set them up on a date with someone else on the island. You can choose for them to go to the cafe, the beach, the amusement park, or the tower. The success and failure rate is the same as any other normal romance interaction. Attached above are two videos showing both success and failure cutscenes.
