“No time?”
He almost sounded offended. Almost, if not for the amusement that cut his voice at the very edges.
“If interdimensional travel is possible—surely time travel gotta be as well.” Miles’ fingers flexed again, though his gaze landed upon the lit up—watch? Bracelet? That he could, albeit indirectly, see some numbers flash upon before it became dull, muted.
A few moments passed, and he continued his train of thought. Time or no time, she would listen.
“IIIIIII wonder what happens when you kill someone from another dimension,” again, did the eyes upon the mask narrow, malicious in of itself. “Do they simply—disappear? Does their body stay here? Does someone—or, something—come to pick up the pieces?”

doesn't take much to notice, when he makes himself so BLATANT to notice. if there's one thing felicity knew, it was that much; HE WANTED HER TO SEE HIM.
Tumblr media
-- AND SHE DID. her feet shift, her stance slightly wider as an arm goes to reach for the sword at her back. she was naive -- but she knew: THIS WAS NO MILES. she had seen the reports on this dimension more than once to know.
❝ i got NO TIME for this, ❞ felicity answers, her voice giving a small waver. the portal closes behind her, giving her no exit. ❝ plus -- seems that you're full of PARTY TRICKS of your own. ❞

for @novaragno.
Another incidence. Another tornado of colours, too sharp and too bright at this hour of the night, spitting out another person into a dank, stale alleyway. Whoever they were, they narrowly avoided getting belched out, from the innards of this kaleidoscope spiral, into a deep, dark puddle.
How fascinating.
Miles made his presence known. He leapt down, claws dragging cacophonously down the flank of the building, before boots slammed into a thin pool of water. His landing was wet, but he was far from sloppy.
“Let me guess. You’re from another dimension?”
He smiled. The eyes of his mask narrowed. It wasn’t fun nor harmless—no, this smile bore all the happiness of a rabid dog.
“I have a question for ya’. If you’ll …” Fingers flexed, claws snapping back into place, before promptly retracting. “… entertain me.”

for @maegicks; peter parker.
Superheroes were a thing for your comics. Something Miles used to plunge his head deep into, a puerile smile flourishing upon his lips as he angled that flashlight underneath his bed covers, hoping not to get pulled up for staying up far beyond his bedtime. He used to feel his heart aflutter, and childishly, he used to hope that one day, a hero would crop up in his Brooklyn.
No one ever did. Not now, not before. Not even when he witnessed his father’s death. It was a gruesome thing, watching his father’s body disappear underneath rubble. The panic that spurred tendrils of strength into his thin arms, as he pulled back piece by piece.
What he saw what his father’s … remains were, he almost disclosed his lunch.
Instead of letting bile spill forth, he wailed. A violent, angry wail.
That anger formed the frame for many things to come.
A velvet chuckle tumbled forth. He’d spied something unusual, something strange, a kaleidoscope of colours forming an inward spiral into a wall in a murky alleyway. Out of it, a figure emerged. The colours became muted, remnant spheres, cubes petering the moment that the tornado snapped out of existence.
He’d been watching. Waiting. Eventually, he leapt down from his perch atop the building, heavy boots slamming into the asphalt in front of them. He flexed his fingers, claws retracted—for now.
“Why you wearing that funny mask, man?” came the deep voice, tone strung up by the weave of electronics circling his jaw, his mouth. He was wearing a mask as well, yes, but this one was simpler, more defined. What the man wore before him looked like it’d jumped out of your 90s comic bookstore. “Comic Con ain’t for a few more months.”

THESE VERSES ARE TEMPLATES; THEY ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO BE ADJUSTED ON A MUSE-BY-MUSE BASIS. THE BELOW SERVES AS NAUGHT BUT A BASE.
Tumblr media
EARTH-1610B. — (TAGS. verse 001. — SPIDER-MAN. / verse 003. — WELCOME TO THE MULTIVERSE.)
based on the spider-verse films; inspired by the comics.
you were fourteen, and you were brooklyn's one and only spider-man. or, at least, you thought you were. after witnessing peter parker's death — seeing king pin smash his bones and organs beyond repair — you feel alone. you feel like there's no way you can climb up to the same spot peter was, and the sights, the sounds of his murder fill your eyes when you close them at night.
then, you realise you aren't alone. you're very much not alone. you make friends, enemies, nemesis' even. you see your uncle die, for refusing to kill you. you see the fabric of space and time torn thread from thread by those seeking solutions to their past. you send your friends, your fellow spider-people's, back to their individual universes — and in result, you feel alone again.
then you realise, one year later: you can meet them again. your thrill and excitement are eventually dulled beneath the glare of one miguel o'hara.
him and his spider-verse.
MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN. — (TAGS. verse 002. — DUAL HEROES.)
based on the video game: marvel's spider-man, miles morales; inspired by the comics.
you were seventeen when peter parker left you as new york's one and only spider-man. said he and his partner, mary jane, were going to symkaria for a few weeks, maybe a month. he entrusted you with the city's protection, even after you blundered that earlier mission so hard.
it's been a few years since your father's death. you've been under peter parker's wing, and here, he's been helping you mould and bolster your abilities. you become something of a side-kick, even though some people see you as a bit of a nuisance. you struggle within your role, with your identity.
many things happen during peter parker's absence. you make friends, enemies. your mother finds out you're spider-man, and still loves you as her son. your uncle, who's the prowler, lends his abilities to you in fight. you lose friends, enemies. you save the city, time and time again. peter parker praises you upon his return, and you feel prideful but — emptiness gnaws at the corners of your gut.
you're twenty now. you've established yourself as not just spider-man's side-kick, student, but as someone who can flourish by himself.
EARTH-42. — (TAGS. verse 004. — PROWLER.)
based on the spider-verse films.
you were fifteen when your father dies. no one is there to save him; superheroes are things for your comics, things that you look now in disdain, even after these years. they're tucked away in a box, somewhere in the dark depths of your room. your uncle aaron steps in after your father's funeral, his hand heavy on your shoulder, for you two now share that pain. your mother is swept up in the tides of her woe, and although her husband sought to separate aaron from the rest of the family because of his criminal ties, she feels like she has no where else to turn.
you're nineteen now, almost twenty. brooklyn is dreary, riddled with fear. but not for you. your life has blended in with your uncle's — he was once the prowler, but now, you are.
