kanina pagdating ng nanay ko may baked mac so syempre hati kami ng kapatid ko eh isang baunan yon and then kumuha ako ng spoon and bowl na maliit lang syempre lol and sabi ko hatiin ni mama eh may sinasabi sila tapos na ganun nagsalita ako eh usually normal voice ko ang mataas boses and sht (i know di tama pero tangina normal nga yon putangina naman) and then nagalit tatay ko sabi sakin "para kang si lita." Lita is my tita, his sister and then i dont totally h8 her but yea sort of 😹. July 13, 2019 we actually first met i mean talk thru omegle. Usually pag bored ako, omegle agad ang itatype ko. While we are talking, napansin ko na ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko, comfortable, di bastos *usually kasi horny lagi*, masaya kakwentuhan hanggang sa almost 2 or 3 hrs na kami magkausap hahahahahahah we exchanged numbers baka kasi mag dc bigla lol in my entire life in omegle, yun nga pinakamahabang convo sa nakausap ko eh hahahahaha until July 14 around 3am tumawag siya and btw he is from baguio and that time nasa labas siya kasi walang signal sa loob ng bahay nila kundi smart lang and i feel so special jokkkeee hahahahaha nabanggit lang niya na sayang yung load 😂 we talk for almost 3 hrs ata hahahahaha tapos nag stop na kasi nagchichill na siya maygad hahahahahaha. After several days, cut na ng communication. Akala ko nga dun na nagtatapos yun eh hahahahah kasi wala naman ako talagang interes sa kanya. After 1 month ata not so sure pero parang ganun, we became close. Landian lang talaga pakay ko hahahahaah pero di natuloy whahahaha jk medyo lowkey natuloy. Naging consistent, halos every midnyt tatawag tapos every morning, magkatext oras oras hayyy good old days :(( hanggang sa mawala yung promo na AOC20 ng smart hmp dun talaga nag start yon hahahahaha yung smart sim ko nga kay kuya pa yun eh. October or November ata nawala ung promo so naging madalang na hanggang sa every night na lang kami nag uusap pero consistent pa rin until January. Lagi lang kami nagmumurahan hahahaha routine na yon tapos aawayin ko siya ganun tapos magmumurahan kami pakyu bitch, kinnam, engk, zzz, u weakshit, u ded, good u ded ganun lang. Until January ayoko na magkwento kasi wala na hahahahahaha joke ayun January medyo okay pa. Every nyt consistent pa rin magkatext and then usually chat na lang ata like ilang mins na lang mag aaway everyday ganun kasi lagi niya hinahanap sa akun friend ko which i find it so annoying like holysht he's aware naman na u know tas ganun diba tangina pero we dont have sht in life naman and i understand it haha ganun na rin naging routine namin until April or May ata tas may mga times na 1 week wala ng reply kasi sawa na ko as in like shet if someone might read our convo, sasabihin paulit ulit na lang and the sht is real tbh. Until one day, naging aloof ako kasi nga diba issue ko talaga is naaasar na ako talaga kasi hindi naman ako human directory for him to ask where is my friend pucha i told him na itext niya or tawagan tangina diba nakakaumay nakakasawa nakakaasar kasi u r the onw who is der pero iba hinahanap hello someone dumped me for so many times already ahhcnsjshahzggs i hate it. DepEd MEMORANDUM No. 055, National Budget Circular (NBC) No. 514, s. 2007 and Commonwealth Act No. 578

DepEd MEMORANDUM No. 055, s. 2018 or the STATUS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GRANT OF SPECIAL HARDSHIP ALLOWANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016 issued the National Budget Circular (NBC) No. 514, s. 2007 or the GUIDELINES ON THE GRANT OF SPECIAL HARDSHIP ALLOWANCE. The National Budget Circular talks about the Special Hardship Allowance that teaching and non-teaching personel can benefit once they are exposed to hazards due to nature or location of their work. Its purpose is to provide guidelines about SHA, and discuss who are the personels that can be included to this SHA. While Commonwealth Act No. 578 talks about a person that is guilty of assault made directly or indirectly upon a supervisor, teacher or professor will be subject to penalty or imprisonment ranging to 6 months and 1 day to 6 years and also a fine from 500 to 1000 pesos.

In this topic, I realized that being a teacher is not that easy especially those that are exposed to hazards. This SHA is just their compensation for their hardwork and I think this is not totally enough compared to the effort that they exert everyday just to teach their students. Being exposed to hazards or because of the location of their work is not as easy as 123. They sacrifice their time for their loved ones, they exert effort and ofcourse they still choose to teach their students because for them learning is the most precious gift that they can share to everyone. Teacher is not just a teacher. Teacher can make other professions possible. I am a teacher and I chose to be a teacher.

What does society expect of teachers as professionals?

T- eacher should perform her duties all the time in and out of her classroom as a professional.

E- ncouraging her students always is one of the most important characteristics that she should always have.

A- teacher is also responsible for the total growth and development of her students.

C- ourteous teacher should always present to find her courtesy reflected in her students who look to her as a model.

H- onest and hardworking is also characteristics of the teachers that we need in our room for the students to learn.

Teaching as a Vocation and Mission

Our life's true calling is always been to love. Our true calling is not about our profession or what career we think is right for us but it is always been to love. Many of us can choose whatever profession we should be in and having a particular profession, we can still love as we serve and that is our true calling.

In my calling to teach, love is everywhere. Once I watched Lou Sabrina Ongkiko's talks, I realized that calling is not about what you choose because it is the only option, but it is all about the fact that you still chose and stay in that profession. Honestly year ago, I think that teaching is not my profession. "It is not for me," I told myself because it is my family's profession and passion that passed generation to generation. As time goes by, I realized that this could be my passion also and later on my profession. I think that time is happening already and now, I am so sure about it.

Historical Development of Teaching as a Profession in the Philippines

In interviewing 2 LET passers even though they are not Teacher-Education graduate, I can say that they are having difficulties in terms of their teaching-learning process. I think that it is because of not having a background in which they could encounter when they were graduate from the teacher education course. Next is if they are agree about entering four-year teacher education course for better preparation of teaching, usually their answers are pertaining for no because they said that it is based on the teacher how will she can impart the knowledge she is teaching. They said also that they can enhance their skills and even be an awardee of being a outstanding teacher even if she do not undergo a four-year teacher education course.

About the historical foundations in the Philippines, during Pre-Spanish Time, they focused on livelihood and household chores to prepare their children to become a good husband and wife. The economic situation during this pre-colonial time was the great contributor and a major factor in system of education in the Philippines. While during Spanish Regime, the system of education familiarize by the Filipinos was religious patriarchal and separate schools for boys and girls were established in every pueblo. Next is American Regime, volunteer American soldiers were the first teachers of the Filipinos. They are called Thomasites. The levels of education were divided into three: Elementary, secondary and tertiary. Americans brought many cultural and traditional changes during their 45 years of colonization. Strong influences such as their cultural values and English language. During Japanese Regime, to forget and to stop English language learning; Filipino learn instead and adopt nippongo. They showed movies and organized cultural production so that Filipinos would acquire inspiration, love sympathy and cooperation among them. To boost the morality of the Filipinos and instill cautions of materialism. To enrich the Filipino culture and to stop patronizing western countries. Lastly, Philippine Education under the present system is using English as the medium of instruction, schools are categorized into public (government) and private (non-government) and education is for everyone regardless of class gender.

Next is the legal foundations legal bases in the Philippines, R.A. 10533 talks about enhancing the basic education system to develop productive and responsible citizens and to equipped with the essential competencies, skills and values. To sustain a life-long learning and promote employment for the citizens. On the other hand, R.A. 8980 talks about promulgating comprehensive policy for national education system. It also promotes growth and development of a child and to ensure the enjoyment of their rights.

Lastly is the curricular reforms in the Philippines in which tackled how our country and teachers deal with the implementations of changing in the curriculum time to time. In the journey towards basic education curricular reforms: 1946-2011, in the very beginning, there are already happenings that the curriculum is changing as time goes by. The revised curriculum always change time to time in which teachers are very aware in shifting to another new formulated curriculum. They also met lots of problems such lack of funds, absence of equipment, numbers needed for vocational teachers and guidance counselors. In addition, the curricular that has been implemented appears lacking with the preparedness, because it seems like they used a trial and error method. They implement it just to find out how it works on students that were affected by the curricular. All in all, the preparedness of those teachers in this various basic education reforms are lack due to the implementation because the implementation itself is not yet ready especially in terms of equipment and facilities. The basic education reforms that usually change and improve time to time can consider as a big help but not for the first time that it was implemented. As for teachers, they still doing their best but usually the curriculum always changes and improve. Curriculum reform that changes the shape and nature of postsecondary degrees must reflect generally acknowledged academic standards of excellence; skills, knowledge, and understanding to help students prepare for the future; and the goals and mission of the institution. The most important person in the curriculum implementation process or reform is the teacher. With their knowledge experience and competencies teacher are the central of curriculum development effort. The teacher involvement in curriculum development is essential in meeting the needs of society this process of curriculum development requires teacher to act and reflect to society need their approach in participation in the process is not well defined and very difficult on teachers so they take many challenges regarding on their involvement in curriculum. Professional development of a teacher is an important factor contributing to success of basic curriculum reform.

Teaching as a Profession

The teaching profession requires to fulfill all the elements of a profession because in order to be called a professional teacher, one should fulfill first all the elements of a profession. These nine elements are initial professional education, accreditation, skills development, certification, licensing, professional development, professional societies, code of ethics, and lastly organizational certification. All in all, in order to become a professional teacher, one should fulfill those elements first.

Profession like teaching require long years of initial professional education because a teacher should enhance first her skills as well as her ability in order for her to be a professional teacher that can be able to teach effectively to her students. After her initial professional education, continuing professional development is also required because as time goes by, change is inevitable in which teachers should enhance more their abilities and skills by continuing again their studies to gain more new knowledge and be aware on what are the approaches that they should address to their students.

Professionalization is not synonymous to professionalism. Professionalization is just a specialty into something that requires special education, training, or skill. For example, a department head has a professionalization in handling her workers. On the other hand, professionalism is a skill, good judgment, and polite behavior that is expected from a person that is trained to do a job well. This is a pure skill or characteristic of someone that not all people can acquire.

Being student teacher is hard but I know it's worth the fight!

How does children learn to read? Because of a teacher. How does children learn to write? Because of a teacher. Lastly, how can children reach their dreams? It's all because of the help of a teacher.

Year 2012, my mom was having a conversation with my aunt about what course will I take when I'm already in college and mom said "she will take Education." What I heard from my aunt disappoint me so much because she is labeling education as "lang" while medicine or other courses related to science should be on top compared to other courses. In our society today, many dictates that medicine, engineering, accountancy, and other related courses should be the one that people choose instead of other courses but those cannot actually make other professions and also cannot help children reach their dreams just like what teacher can.

When August 2018 came, that was the time when I finally realized what am I going to pursue and hope that I can get through and that is Teacher Education.

First sem of being a student here in our college is already challenging that I can almost give up but still I said to myself that it is worth fighting for. At first, I am trying to cope up with the environment I am in today. I am doing well in first week up until my second month not until one day, the demands of the academics are too high to the point that I am already having mental breakdowns every night. It's really hard to deal with those disappointments you have with yourself even though you tried and did your best but still got low scores that doesn't reach your expectations.

Three months passed and I think it's still hard for me to adjust with the new environment because I am not really used to what I am encountering. There are nights that I am having hard time dealing with my lessons and all I can do is to cry and cry until I got tired. Those nights are the reason why I asked myself, "Is this for me? Is this what I really want? Or I am just doing this because this is what my mom told me to do so?"

Until one day came, I met wonderful and intelligent people here in our college that inspires me to continue Teacher Education. They're one of the reasons that made me answer my own question and yes this is for me and I am doing this because this is what I want. Up until now, I can still hear their words that help me made up my mind and also made me love what I am doing now.

Being a student teacher is hard but I know someday all I can say is "I made the right decision. Buti na lang, nag teacher ako!"
