Dear 17 years old me,
Exact 6 years ago, you were a radiant of sunshine; full of hope and dreams. Exactly 6 years ago, the future was so bright and dreamy. You always look forward to being someone you have always dream to become. Exact 6 years ago today, you were accepted to be part of a film society at your university, you thought it'll be the start of your dreams, but you were too blinded by reality and too unprepared to see what's coming into you. You have been so scared all your life that you quit from your passion and dream and went back to be a regular student. The future suddenly gets so blurry and scary and you started to be unsure of what to do next.
Now, here you are, 2019, sitting on your bed, crying while writing this letter. If I could just go back in time and tell you how disappointing life became after 6 years. I'm sorry I failed you. You are at loss right now. Still scared and unsure. Now, you don't still know what lies ahead. What the universe has in-store for you. You just keep walking, hoping everything will change. You never stopped trying and I salute you for that.
This night, you are sad. Really sad. I hope 6 years from now I get to write a letter to you again, no longer sad.
Please keep going.

like a blackhole sucking all the brightness
sadness has been sucking my whole happiness
i thought we're through here
but here i am, writing a letter to someone who's not here.
gray sky started to stay above me
waiting for a chance to pour down me
planning to drown my empty soul
like a cracked porcelain bowl.
cold breeze blew through my skin,
shivers run down and deep within.
i try to put up my hand,
calling for help, looking for a land.
opened my eyes, looked down below me.
found i was in the middle of the sea
alone, scared, helpless and sick.

drea—
i thought i was over it.
as i lay down with a cold feet,
the dream of a 16 years old appeared.
i thought everything has already vanished,
but just turned out it was only buried
under her chained heart and locked hope
the dreams burst out and escaped rapidly.

i love when you stare at me and i could feel every bits of it piercing right through me.
i love when you let me borrow your earphones.
i love when you let me sit beside you, even the table was crowded already.
i love when you read the manga i recommended.
i love when you laugh together with me.
i love when you let me take selfies on your phone.
i love when you wait till i get on the bus.
i love when you ride the bus with me because we cant stop chatting.
i love when we both make fun of each other.
i love how we assume one of us would go awol.
i love how you let me eat your packed lunch.
i love how you listens to my stories.
i love how we non- stop chat till night
i love how we send disturbing videos to each other.
i love how we can talk about the latest update of the manga we're both hooked up to.
i love how we walk at night, without specific direction.
i love how we sang together that night, in the middle of national road, under the night sky, shivering because of a stupid dare.
i love how we can be both stupid when we're together.
i love how you let me lean on your shoulders.
i love how i can cry on you.
i love how u went silent when i dont wanna talk.
i love how you just sat with me in silence.
i love how you wait for me to get done with my work.
i love how you chooses to be with me.
to be honest, i can write a thousand things i love about you, but what i love the most is how i love you this much. thank you for letting me love you.

year ago.
that afternoon was so cold,
the lights are on, the gray skies are rolled.
below the impending fall of the heavy rain,
i was stuck in a room trying to keep sane.
a year ago, life was different,
i was full of hope and dreams,
excitement ran along my veins.
despite dreams and chances,
i was alone, scared and restless.
petrified for every challenges,
my brain was clouded with all the mess.
until an ordinary day has come,
no one knew its the beginning of a new chapter.
a strange man came into my life,
suddenly autumn ended
summer has started.

dear life,
hi to my life.
who would have thought it'll be a good fight?
it was a long battle of sadness,
and im glad the prize was an everlasting happiness.
hi to my life.
you never gave up when i was barely holding on.
i never knew you were gonna present the prize soon.
and like a stitched thread in a linen, u started sewing the holes inside my heart.
hi life. i am good now.
it was long since ive talked to u like this.
im sorry if i found somebody who would listen to a long list,
of depressing quote of experiences and stories.
i was all alone and you— my life is what i had.
let me tell you a story of a one big ole of laughter who decided to stay with me.
i met a man.
finally someone who never ran.
he's an unexpected story,
like this prose and poetry.
we met in an eerie way,
not the ordinary story they always say.
he had a home.
and i am homeless.
this man took every sad days away from me
he solely grabbed them off of me.
day by day built a wall,
to keep me safe from the demons
who used to whisper in my ears.
my life,
this man's eye tell stories i have never seen.
this man's nose scrunches when i tell joke and he would lean.
this man lips spout rainbows and sunshine even its dark,
and that definitely what's really marked.
my life,
someone finally took a leap from the wall we built.
someone took risk over the high- wall around me.
someone lend his hand to touch me.
someone saved us and led us to make free.
my life,
he stayed with the homeless,
he chose to be penniless.
he poured the wealth he had,
a wealth they called love;
to someone who had nothing,
but a quarter of sanity and a ring.
now, this someone taught me not to be alone.
this someone took me far and drove me home.
this someone filled the void, cover the holes,
painted the gray walls into a rainbow.
my life,
can i ask you something?
can this someone be my life?
do not worry for i am not throwing you out,
i just want this someone— this man; to be my life.
my life,
would you think he'll say yes?
and live a life with me with no rest?
do you think he'll say yes?
and be my one and only despite the mess?
my life,
i hope he will say yes,
and be my forever home
till i sleep to rest.

Absquatulate: LAST CHAPTER
It’s a joyous feeling to listen to the clinking glasses of wine; to witness the inexplicable happiness in everyone’s faces. The pure excitement for the next chapter of their lives. The new blind path that they’re going to take—alone & completely clueless. They all have been waiting for this day to come forward. For the final day that they’re all degree holders. They have sacrificed nights & days, slaved themselves with unending lessons, notes & books. Spent more time with the university more than their own loved ones. It is truly the fruit of labor. They have finally surpassed their own expectations & became the person they have been dreaming.
She sat quietly alone at a table near the main entrance as if she was pointed to monitor every new graduate who walks in & out of the door. It also felt like her main role is to record every hug & kisses the moment their family & friend comes in to congratulate them.
Some of their selected friend & classmates from few subjects were invited into the party. They came so early so Anna got to hang out with them for a few hours. Everyone enjoyed the party which was organized by Deby. She couldn’t say that it wasn’t a lavish party as what her friend pertains before but based on the event location, the served food and the entire decoration inside the hall, it obviously was well- planned with the intention of making it so extravagant.
Long tight hugs, wide smiles & loud cheers make her want to call somebody. Somebody that she may call as a family, but she doesn’t have that kind of relationship with anyone at all.
 “Hey, Anna!”
 Aside from her.
Her only best friend—Deby—who treated her like more than a best friend, but a sister. The only person who has never left when the whole world turned their backs against her.
Deby walks towards Anna, all smiling. She’s wearing a red tight dress with hair curled like a wave flowing down her shoulders. She looks so elegant & pretty.
“Mom & dad is coming! They’ve also wanted you to join us tomorrow for the party since our graduation must be celebrated bigger than this!!” she said holding up her own diploma.
“Bigger than this?” she thought when the whole party was already over-the-top. Anna just shrugged & stood up then picked up a small box with a red ribbon tied on it as a decoration. She gave it to Deby which obviously took her friend by surprise. Deby stared at the box and looked back to her friend’s face who was just smiling at her. She noticed the moon necklace hanging on Anna’s neck which compliments with the black lace dress she’s wearing that night, along with her white high- heeled shoes.
“What is this for?” Deby asked.
Anna didn’t answer but just grab Deby’s hand to put the box on her palms.
Deby looked back to her, genuinely smiling with the little surprise.
Anna scratch the back of her neck. “It’s just a small gift after all the things you’ve done for me. I can’t name it all, but you know what I mean.” She looked down feeling flustered. Deby felt the sincerity of Anna. She can’t also put it into words but she knows what it all means. She has done things because she wanted to do it, not because she’s expecting any in return.
She held the box and hugged her best friend so tight. They both giggled with teary- eyes.
“Congratulations to us! We made it!” Anna said laughing, feeling a little embarrassed because of their little drama.
“May I excuse you ladies for a bit?”
Both girls immediately turned their heads around after hearing that familiar voice.
“Am I disturbing you that much?” the voice said. He was wearing a casual suit while holding a bottle of wine. “I brought a present though I’m not even invited to your party,”
Anna was so shocked and felt the oxygen leaving her body.
 “L-Lee Gikwang?”
The unexpected guest just smiled at her.
“If you may allow, I wanted to talk to you, Anna. Privately.”
  -     -     -
Kim Taehyung fixed the petals of the sunflower & roses bouquet he ordered online & was delivered straight to the airport despite the messy arrangements of location & pick-up remarks. After making sure it was well- organized, fresh & pretty, he put it back at the back seat and leaned his back against his seat to stretch his arms & shoulders.
“Seriously, Chim, you can entrust your car to me. I already know how to drive,” he complains while watching his best friend driving.
“Show me your license first before I’d let you take my car,” Jimin answered and his friend just pout.
Kim Taehyung noticed his ashen color. His pink-plump lips before now turned into a colorless pair of skin. He looked lifeless and pale. His healthy skin got a spot of bruises & you could immediately tell he look so sick & tired. Given that they just came back from a very exhausting tour with 12-hour plane travel, and no rest at all, but Park Jimin’s image right now is totally different compared to his steel look & bright aura before every time they came back from a world tour.
He slowly gets weaker & sickly since he stopped looking for blood. Kim Taehyung sometimes noticed how he control himself not to attack them especially if they’re in the middle of the dance practice & the boys are sweating so hard.
“Don’t worry, I’d kill myself first before I attack you,” Jimin muttered.
Taehyung suddenly shifts his gaze to the road. He forgot for a moment that Jimin could hear his thoughts. Park Jimin took a deep breath and leaned his elbows on the car window while his right hand is gripping the wheel.
“I know I’m making you worried, Taehyung. Don’t worry, just hang on a little bit. Once the next album is done, I’ll immediately leave.”
Kim Taehyung looked back at him, shocked by what he said. “What do you mean?”
Jimin just smiled bitterly. “I’ve already talked to the management, and also Bang PD-nim talked to me personally. Of course, I skipped the true reasons why I am leaving, I just told him that I need a rest and I could no longer perform for the group. Namjoonie also finds it out but he understands.”
The man left stoked in his seat. He expected it before anyone else, but Kim Taehyung still couldn’t avoid the fact that he’s hurting. He just couldn’t imagine staying in Bangtan without his ultimate best friend, and brother.
“This is for the best, Tae.”
Kim Taehyung remained his eyes on the road, “Are you still coming back?’
Park Jimin let out his breath. He felt the tight air inside the car. Even he himself doesn’t know the answer. Is he still coming back? Nobody knows.
“Taehyung, even when I’m not around, I want you to stay as what you are. A man who’s firm in reaching his dreams. Consistent & full of dedication. Keep showing your best & continue inspiring the people around you. But, never ever compromise your health. Take care & be the light for the group.”
Taehyung sniff and quickly wiped off the impending fall of his tears. He doesn’t want to look weak, and childish. He holds back the growing lump in his throat and controlled his emotions. Jimin noticed it so he shuffled his best friend’s hair like a little kid.
Before everything went full- dramatic, Taehyung changed the atmosphere and pulled out a different topic to talk.
“I should have taken a cab instead of disturbing you. You know where I’m heading, so why did you go with me?” he asked.
Jimin brushed his hair up and stopped the car when the traffic lights turn red. “I know you’d rather want a ride in my car than calling for a cab. We just came back from the airport, and it’ll be dangerous for you to randomly pick a cab since the fans are everywhere.”
Taehyung stared at him. “But you chose to give me a lift even that you know there’s a possibility that we might bump into Anna.” He didn’t answer. “Are you trying to kill yourself?” He still didn’t answer.
Park Jimin knew what he is doing. He wanted to stop himself. He’s aware that from the moment they arrived there, he could immediately smell Anna’s blood. He knows that’s very dangerous and that it will hurt him, but he just can’t control himself. Maybe, still, some part of him wanted to see her even just for a moment.
He’s very happy for her. She finally reached her goal and now will begin a new chapter in her life . . . without him.
Maybe, Park Jimin just wanted to see her before he left. Maybe, if the universe would let him, he could steal a hug from her.
Just for the one last time. He wishes.
Taehyung brushes off his own question & felt that Jimin doesn’t want to answer it so he thinks of another topic again.
“Uhmm… how do I look today, Chim? Do I look so restless? How about my eye bags? Is it still visible?” Taehyung anxiously asked. Park Jimin just laughed and stomped the gas to run the car.
“It felt weird to see you like that. You look so serious for that surprise. Just make sure Deby will never find out that we just arrived, you seem to forget that you’re a BTS member and probably the news is all over the internet now.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes. “But she didn’t know I’ll be coming to the party. She just thought that my only gift is the party itself. She didn’t know there’s more to it,” he chuckled.
Jimin takes a look at him. “Oh, so you’re gonna show yourself there and never expect for a controversy?”
“Of course, I will just show myself to her. This surprise is only meant for her, and nobody else.”
Jimin laughed so loud. “Dude, you’re so whipped! It’s kinda gross” he teased.
  -       -       -
Anna felt bewildered when she looked around the parking lot where Lee Gikwang took her. It’s on the 16th floor of the building where the event was held. No one’s around, only the parked vehicles and the two of them.
“Why can’t we just talk outside the event hall? Or in the hotel’s garden. It’s way more refreshing there than here,” she asked then looked around again. “Did you park your car in here?’ she asked again.
Lee Gikwang just stood near the edge of the parking lot where he can see the cityscape at night. He’s quiet and calm, while Anna stayed there waiting for him. He’s still holding the wine bottle he brought for the party.
Anna felt the awkward atmosphere between them but she couldn’t start a word. She somehow still feel guilty about the result of the trial even so many months have already passed & she’s no longer in contact with Park Jimin. After the final verdict, she never heard anything from Lee Gikwang, or any news about him, or his family. Everything went so peaceful that it’s kinda terrifying. It’s like calm before the storm. She busies herself for all the graduation requirements, and at the same time, forget that Park Jimin is existing.
“Yes, my car’s there,” he suddenly answered and pointed his finger at the white Chevrolet not too far from them.
“Oh,” she reacted and just nod her head.
“But we’ll be leaving later, not now,” he said while still watching the cityscape.
The cold air gives shivers to her skin. Her dress is lacy and she could immediately feel the cold wind from the outside. She thought she should have brought her scarf inside her bag.
“Where are we going, by the way?” she asked.
Lee Gikwang finally turned his head to look at her. “Just somewhere. Away from here.”
Anna couldn’t explain but the tone of his voice and the way he looks at her make her petrified. Her heartbeat is racing and she suddenly remembers her phone but found her hand is empty. She cursed at herself.
She gulped. “What do you want to tell me? I think Deby is looking for me now. We should hurry.” She hid her shaking hands and pretend she’s fine.
Gikwang just smiled and walked towards her. He stopped a few steps away from Anna, with his hands inside his pocket. He mysteriously stared at her while Anna kept trying to avoid his gaze.
“How are you doing?” he randomly asked.
“Oh, I’m uhh—okay. Just getting jitters after all the ceremony. You know, next will be the real world,” she said, trying to lighten up the mood.
He nodded. “Cool. Glad you’re doing just fine. I hope . . . me, as well,” he said whispering the last sentences.
 “What?”
“I think we better leave now,” he said.
Anna stopped right at her track. “W- Wait . . . Where are we going? I just can’t leave without informing Deby. She might come looking for me,” she reasoned out. Anna felt her hand starting to sweat so bad now.
“We’ll just be quick, Anna.” His eyebrows furrowed and he scoffed. “Why do you look so terrified? Are you scared of me?”
She waved her hand. “O- of course, not! Why would I be scared of you? I know we’re in good terms, right? Everything that happened in the past should be forgotten now. Y- Y-You look doing great and at the same time, I- I’m slowly moving on now. Everything back then was so chaotic so I wish, we’ll just leave it there & never ever bring it back.”
Lee Gikwang nodded and walked to his car to open the door. “Then, why don’t you get inside and let’s talk outside—somewhere. You’ve said it yourself, somewhere which is way more refreshing than here.”
 “But Gik—“
“We’ll be quick, Anna. This will be the last time that I’ll be asking a favor from you. I just want to congratulate you & maybe try to fix everything from the past,” and he smiled.
Anna hesitated for a moment. Somewhere inside of her saying that she should not go with him, but part of her also saying she should not jump to conclusion and judge that he’s up to something. She wanted to end this right away. She wanted to leave immediately. She wanted to trust him, but why she can’t?
“Are you coming or not?’ he asked one last time.
Anna took a deep breath and calm herself. She nodded and smiled back at him then went into the car. Lee Gikwang closed the door and she expected him to turn around and sit next to her, which is the driver’s seat, but she got puzzled when he stopped in front of the car, turned around and just looked at her. He didn’t say anything but just weirdly watched her from the outside.
After a few seconds, Anna felt the car was moving backward. She gets confused at first on what is going on but when she looked at the back, she saw that it’s moving towards the edge of the building. She started to panic and tried to unlock her seatbelt but it was tight shut, as well as the door, and the window.
“What is going on?!” she screamed but Lee GIkwang couldn’t hear anything from the inside like a predator watching his prey inside his little box. Anna tried to hit the window, pulled the belt or stopped the car, but anything is not helping, the car won’t stop moving backward.
She started screaming. Went frantic. Crying. Scared. Shaking.
She looked back at Lee Gikwang but his face is emotionless. He didn’t move an inch or didn’t even budge from his spot. He’s just watching for the grievous outcome of this.
The car slowly moving backward- towards the edge of the parking lot. If it will not stop, the car will probably fall from the building despite the barriers, and this would probably kill her & would cause a massive explosion.
“What the fuck?! OPEN THE DOOR! HELP ME!” she screamed again in terror. She kept hitting the windows to break it. She looked around inside the car to find something which may help her to get out of it but the dashboards are empty & couldn’t find any single item nearby as if he planned everything well.
Anna checked the side mirror and saw the view of the cityscape at the back of the car is no longer satisfying, but, instead it’s terrifying and showing the sign of death.
Her tears won’t stop leaking from her eyes down to her cheeks. She’s starting to lose breath. The shaking of her shaking body went extreme and her eyes start to get blurry.
Lee Gikwang just watched while the car kept moving backward.
He opened his mouth & whispered, “That’s what I wanted to tell you . . .” He looked up and watched the rope tied at the back of the compartment, “I want you dead.” He set it up and anytime soon, once it will cut off, it will speed up the motion of the car and will fasten the death of the women inside.
He couldn’t feel anything, nor pity her, but he does remember that once in his life, he wanted to be part of her life but she just rejected him, and now he was too blinded by his own rage, and all he wanted is to avenge his sister, but Gikwang knows well, he could never level himself to Park Jimin, so the least he can do is to take revenge through the only person he loved so much. He thought the best way is to aim for his heart. It would immediately kill him from the inside. Attack what’s his greatest weakness.
Anna once tried to unbuckle the seatbelt but no matter what she does, it was tied tight around her body. She won’t stop crying and tried to call for his help, but the man outside just watched her.
“PLEASE! Fucking shit . . . help me. . .” she whispered while crying, starting to feel hopeless.
Anna closed her eyes, and imagine him.
“If this’ will be the death of me… I wish… I wish… I could have told him for the one last time how I still want to be with him.”
The rope cut off and she felt the movement of the car sped up. She screamed but her voice reached nothing as if she was in the middle of nowhere & nobody would hear her no matter how loud she will shout for help. She holds tight on the belt and accepted the outcome.
The back of the car created a loud sound after hitting the barrier at the edge of the parking lot. It made her scream more & she cried harder.
The car continuously moving until the back half of it was already hanging at the edge of the building. She felt helpless and screamed again. Anna kept hitting the window and the door for help. She saw the moving cars below her and she felt how her knees weakened and cold. Lee Gikwang stayed on his same spot, never even give a damn about the situation.
She kept crying and hated that the last person she has seen was him. Until she felt everything has stopped when the impact of the falling car struck her.
This is real, and she is dying.
The car’s falling and she’s falling with it.
Anna closed her eyes so tight and felt the last tear falling from her cheeks, and she imagined him.
She imagined that Park Jimin is next to him.
And it felt so real.
  -       -       -
Park Jimin dropped off his friend a few blocks away from the event location. Its Kim Taehyung’s idea since he’s worried someone might catch him & would just create a scandal. He found a way how to get there through the back entrance of the building. He talked to the event organizer so he was informed of the direction he may take so he can surprise her.
“Just get your dusty ass there & make sure you’ll make her fall in love with you!” he teased. He felt like he was sending his own son off to his prom.
“I didn’t expect this is kinda scary, Chim. I mean, I know & I’m sure I would never be rejected. I can feel it, she’s into me, so all I have to do is be a man & do it!” Kim Taehyung said as if he’s reciting a mantra.
Jimin just laughed at him and kicked his butt when he gets off from his car.
“Just go!” Jimin shouted at him. Kim Taehyung took a deep breath, zipped his hoodie up to his nose and sneakily went inside a street leading to gods- knows- where.
He was about to drive away, and just go back to their dorm but he stopped for a moment. He looked from afar at the building where the event was taken place. He gripped at the steering wheel. He’s getting an internal battle on whether he would take a sneak peek or just go home & sleep, but he remembers Anna, and the urge to see her or to at least smell her scent is so strong that she couldn’t fight it off. He wanted to go and see her, but he’s worried. He knows so well that she’s doing great even after breaking up with her through her dreams but he wanted to see it himself. He misses her smile, her eyes lighting up when she’s excited. Her nose scrunching when she’s against of something, or the lines next to her eyes when she winks naughtily.
The last thing he knew, he was already driving himself to the building. When Park Jimin pulled over beside the highway, he noticed from afar a pack of people gathering in front of the building like there’s an accident on site.
He gets off from his car, and the moment he stepped his foot on the ground, the strong scent of Anna immediately snapped his sleeping senses as a vampire, like a control button turning on a machine. The veins in his neck grew thicker and the white ring in his eyes which has never appeared for quite some time has become visible again.
He followed his princess scent and looked up to see a car hanging from the building. Park Jimin felt his blood rushing all throughout his body. His heart skipped a beat and he had never felt scared in his life before until today that he’s watching his woman in the verge of death.
The whole crowd screamed almost in unison when the car finally fell from the building and everyone panicked and started running away to avoid the explosion.
Park Jimin disappeared from where he’s standing and appeared inside the car where Anna was stuck. He saw her with her eyes closed, looking so scared and crying. When she opened her eyes, he knew that she saw him. He wastes no time and used all his strength to pull out her body from the seatbelt and hugged her tight.
Anna heard a crashing glasses and the next thing she knew, she was lying on top of Park Jimin and a loud explosion can be heard not too far from them after. She flinched from the enormous impact that almost shook the ground and opened her eyes again when it stopped after a few seconds.
It took only a couple of seconds when everything happened so she felt like it was all a dream flashing before her eyes. She felt a sting all over her body from the impact and she felt like she would lose conscious anytime. Blood gushing from her right arms and she could feel it flowing down. She tried moving above him but even her ears are ringing and she’s still shaking badly. She feels so heavy and it’s as if everything around her stopped.
Park Jimin felt movement above him and immediately opened his eyes. He rolled out and pulled himself up while holding her between his arms. He went distraught when spotted the blood gushing from her arms which she got when the car window was crashed. He even saw a broken glass pierced right at her flesh and Anna is not moving.
“Anna! Hey, baby! Hey, wake up! Anna” he called out and rock her body to wake her up but Anna went totally immobile.
“No, please. No! Anna, princess, please wake up! Baby, I’m here. Please, no, no, no.” He felt a tear fell from his eyes but he still tried to remain calm so he gently lay her down on the ground and tore the sleeves of the shirt. He tried stopping the bleeding but it just don’t work. The bruises & wounds around her body are very clear that she’s suffering from the trauma she got from the impact of falling even he uses his body to shield her.
Park Jimin felt his quivering lips and wiped off the snot & tears to focus himself on what to do in order to save her. He checked again the wound in her arms and pulled out the broken glass buried deeper in her flesh. He then slit his wrist and now he’s bleeding, too. Jimin gently tried to open her mouth and let his blood drip directly to her.
He made her consume his own blood.
  -      -       -
Right after Kim Taehyung gets off, he was almost running to reach the venue immediately. He uses the back door of the building to avoid the public eye. Fishing out the phone from his pocket, he excitedly & at the same time nervously contacted Deby’s number.
“Hey!” he greeted when she picked up the call.
”Hey, No Name! You called! How you doing?” she answered.
He halted and secretly smiled to himself. “Just good. How `bout you? How’s the party?” he asked and checked the bouquet he brought.
“Everything went well. I wish you could visit us but I know that’ll be impossible,” she replied.
 “And why though?”
He could imagine her shrugging. “Well, obviously because it’ll be too risky. Wait. . . by the way, where are you now?” she suddenly asked.
Kim Taehyung thought that she might get hints already. “In Seoul. We just landed like a few hours ago.”
She breathed. “Oh, I knew it. I thought it’s just false information when I’ve heard you came back because you’ve told me you’ll be arriving on Monday. Why did you come back earlier than your schedule?”
His shoulders lifted up and fell as if he’s talking personally to her. “Nothing. It was a sudden decision, too.”
She hummed. “I think, we better talk later because I’m still looking for Anna. She went outside and I still couldn’t find her. I’m on my way outside now.”
Kim Taehyung got chills and get excited when she said it. “WAIT! Hold on, you’re going out now?” Then he ran like crazy inside the hall to meet her at the main entrance of the building where she’s heading at. He thought he could just surprise her there, and started ignoring that somebody might catch him. He’s just too excited that he no longer cares on what will happen next.
“Why? I’m actually outside now like literally just got out from the door,” then she laughed.
He instantly saw her standing outside the entrance. Taehyung quickly hid behind the post and peeked out. Taehyung smiled when he saw how pretty she was that night, with her red tight dress showing off the curves of her body. He thought it was his first time seeing her looking so gorgeous & expensive like that. She used to wear only jeans and shirts.
“You look pretty in a red dress,” he said.
Deby was awestruck with his compliment and immediately looked around.
“How did you know what color I am wearing?! Are you here? Where are you? Oh my god, did you really came here?” she said laughing and still looking around.
Taehyung took a deep breath first before moving out behind the post.
 “Turn around.”
The lady in red quickly turned around and flashes a bright smile when she spotted him holding a bouquet of flowers.
Kim Taehyung started walking towards her but his steps came to halt, and everything stopped, too.
The world stopped moving, together with the people inside it. Even clocks stopped ticking and the loud explosion of the car which fell from the building was only heard by two people who left in motion.
  -      -       -
After just a few seconds, Anna opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Park Jimin. She tried to lift herself up and he helped her. They were both still sitting on the ground and she noticed how the people around them are not moving like a static film.
She coughed and felt the sting in her lips but ignored it, “What’s going on? Why is everyone’s like that?”
Park Jimin just shakes his head and wipe the dirt off Anna’s cheeks. She then realized that what she sees inside the car when she’s falling is real, and it isn’t a dream. He’s really there trying to save her. Anna checked his whole face, trying to make sure if he’s really there, right in front of her. She felt a growing lump in her throat and tears are falling again.
“I—I thought I’d no longer see you again. I—I thought you weren’t real. I was so scared, I thought I’m gonna die,” and she started weeping.
He hushed her and tuck her hair behind her ears. “I’d never let that happen to you. I’m sorry for leaving you,”
She noticed the white rings in his eyes deflates and faded with the veins on his neck slowly vanishing. He suddenly looked so pale and bruises in his neck, face and arms appeared out of nowhere. Anna grabbed his face to check it, and also checked his arms.
“What are these? Why are you getting bruises? They weren’t there before, how come—“
“Don’t mind them,” he said even he felt the sudden drop of his strength. He could feel his veins pulsating, his heart beating so slowly like it’ll gonna stop anytime. Even his visions get so blurry that he couldn’t see her clearly & that will be his biggest regret in life because he wanted his last memory to be her.
Park Jimin tried to stand up but he just fell into his knees and almost passed out from the excruciating pain from his stomach. He threw up blood and Anna helped him to sit still.
“Oh my god, what’s going on?” she asked, getting so badly worried.
Jimin just wiped off the blood but he could feel he’ll just gonna throw up another round of blood again. He closed his eyes tight and he started getting so dizzy. He couldn’t even feel his own hands. He’s close to getting paralyze but still trying to fight it off.
Park Jimin knows he has already reached his limit. He has been off from blood for months and has been using strength all this time, especially now that he pushed himself to the extreme.
“You look so sick. Tell me what should I do. I’ll bring you to the hospital, come on!” She tried to lift him up but Jimin just pulled her down to stop her.
“You know you can’t do that.”
She wiped off her tears. “But you’re so weak right now! You look pale and it doesn’t look right!” he shouted from frustrations.
He just smiled bitterly and hold her down to keep her still. Anna still couldn’t calm herself so she think for another option.
“How about you took a bite of me? You can take a sip of my blood. That will help you, right?’ she asked and remove her hair out from her neck so she could offer it to him, but he just shakes his nod.
 “That’s no longer possible, princess…”
Her heart sank down. It felt a lifetime since the last time she heard those word.
 “But why?!”
“It’ll be poisonous. I had just made you consume my blood so you’ll be healed. If you would let me take a sip of your blood, it’ll be poisonous since my blood is already running through your veins, all over your body.”
She then remember what Kim Taehyung told her before, that vampire blood is poisonous for themselves.
“T- Then the other people! They will never be aware because you basically stopped them from moving! They’re unconscious, right? We can take advantage of it!”
Jimin shakes his head again. Another pulsating pain from the inside is coming so he shut his eyes for a while to wait till it’ll pass by. When he felt he can somehow manage now, he grabs her hands and hold onto it tightly then looked directly to her eyes.
“Anna, my princess, I don’t wanna kill anyone again. I don’t wanna hurt anybody. Again.”
His words made her bawl her eyes out again.
“If my disappearance will stop them from hurting, I’d gladly leave like I have never existed before.”
Anna’s eyes shifted to the side and became glazed with a glassy layer of tears. She bit her lips tightly in an attempt to control her sob, but the sound wanted to escape from her mouth, and his heart sank.
Her lower lips quivered as words slowly made their way out of her mouth.
“But please, not. . .” she sobbed. “Not again, please.” She said and followed with engulfed in the tremors.
He cursed himself mentally. He just hated himself. All he do is to make her cry, even at their last moment. Jimin watched her crying intensively and he wanted to cry with her. He memorized every little detail of Anna. He just realized she was so pretty tonight with her lace- dress.
Park Jimin touch her cheeks and stared directly to her eyes.
“You look so pretty tonight,” he said. “Thank you,” he thought, but she just kept crying, still feeling so scared for him.
He once again felt the wave of another intense pain and he knows he could no longer bear it. He could feel it’ll be his last, but he doesn’t want to tell her.
He just can’t bring himself to tell her that he couldn’t bear it anymore. That he’s sorry he’s leaving again permanently and so, instead, he reached out for her, closed their gaps despite her cries and kissed her wounded lips, sucking the blood out from it to finally end it all.
When he pulled away, he saw the moon necklace hanging around her neck and whispered, “I’ll remain inside you. Let’s meet when the moon shines again.”
And his angel, Park Jimin, vanish into ashes.
The princess left in a castle bigger than the world.
With no one around but the walls and her in a curb.
Utterly alone in a palace, she tried escaping,
but the gates are created by thorns with no holes gaping.

When the doctor asked, “Do you really want ‘him’ to disappear? I mean, that’s my opinion as your doctor but I understand how you hold on to him. How he helped you to calm down during breakdowns & sudden episodes. How he became your strength & comfort zone. But Menze, letting him go is what makes you go completely normal.”
I suddenly went undecided. Do I really want my imaginary best friend to vanish? Do I really want to be completely back to normal when I will be left alone again?

Eccedentesiast
Months quickly passed by so fast like a bullet train traveling from south to north. Roaring so loud to ruin a quiet-sleeping town then will leave without a trace as if it has never been there before.
The traumatic experiences and memories over the months have slowly faded, little by little buried at the back of the brains, now covered with new memories that can be restored and revived anytime you want.
Horrible, exhausting & painful images still flashing before her eyes from time to time, yet, still able to manage and forget. Though forgetting is still the most impossible thing to do yet the only option left.
After paying the fare, Anna immediately gets off from the cab and stood on the sidewalk. She looked around the street, looking for her best friend Deby who supposedly will meet her for a quick catch up. She was advised to wait outside the coffee shop where they had met last time.
The sun is high. Clouds formed like fluffy cotton pasted on the sky. Covering the heat from the rays, flashing a gloomy atmosphere down the city. The breeze is cool. The wind blowing mildly, gently stroking her hair.
Anna fished out the phone from her sling bag then sent a message to Deby to let her know she’s already outside of their meeting place, then she put it back inside her bag.
She scanned the whole place. Watched the people walking past her. Observing the speed between their steps. Staring at the people mindlessly walking with their eyes glued to the screen of their phones. Not minding the accident that may come in front of them.
As she quietly observing the people & enjoying the solitude she has, her eyes landed on the screen right across the street. As if the whole world conspires against her, the LED board suddenly flashes the video of the group she had been trying to avoid for how many months.
How many months? She didn’t know. She lost count or rather, stopped counting.
The huge screen played the video where BTS won the Billboard Music Award as Top Social Artist of the year.
She felt how her heart skipped a beat by watching them. Couldn’t deny the fact that she misses them, somehow, so much. She missed listening to their music. She missed laughing along with them. She missed the feeling of being part of their lives even if it all just feels like a dream and a nightmare at the same time.
That night he broke up with her, Anna tried to reach & talk to Park Jimin, but even Kim Taehyung declined to help. She tried so many times but she grew exhausted. She suddenly realizes her worth and how dumb it was to chase for someone who no longer wants you.
Slaving herself from all the requirements needs to be done before her college graduation and also in work made her focused more on one subject than thinking about him. Crying under the shower every night, and waking up the next day to pretend she can get over it. Dodging every news about them by removing her social media accounts and even avoiding all the brands they’re promoting.
She practically removed herself away from his world.
It was hard to do since wherever she look at, wherever she goes, BTS is always there.
HE is always there.
Even walking down the street back to her apartment, she always remembers the memories they have shared by simply walking there. Whenever she went to her bed, she still imagines his presence, even his smell. It was a torturous feeling to see him everywhere.
Every time she closes her eyes, she could see him. She remembers his smile. His last words when he showed up through her dreams.
Now, after all the efforts she has made just to avoid him, Anna was standing now in front of a screen flashing the man she once loved, or still love.
Her heart sank.
Going back to square one. She thought she was over him, but found out she’s only pretending.
The scar she always conceals has opened and now bleeding again.
Park Jimin was smiling while looking directly at the camera. As if he’s looking directly at her. As if he’s smiling while looking at her. His eyes shining, but not because of her. He’s smiling but not because of her. He no longer smiles for her.
Those eyes no longer have substance. No emotion. No feelings.
Anna wanted to leave right away, but she can’t control her legs. She can’t close her eyes. She can’t do anything but to watch the man who has once made her feel loved, happy, depressed & hated.
His voice rung again in her ears,
“Not all those who leave left because they no longer love someone, but because the only way to keep loving them is through the distance between them.”
Anna jolted when someone touched her arms. When she turned her head to see who it was, she saw her best friend Deby smiling at her holding her phone up to show the screen dialing Anna’s phone number. As if she just gotten back into the reality, Anna immediately opened her sling bag, shuffling inside and grabbed her phone. Deby ended the call and just sarcastically looked at her. The ringing ended and Anna’s phone shows 5 missed call from her best friend.
“I have been calling you. I thought you set your phone in silent mode but I heard it ringing from like fifty steps away that’s why I easily spot you here!” she said then rolled her eyes.
She stuttered. “I- I’m sorry I- I was just—I—“ she stopped and frustratingly dropped her shoulders, surrendering.
Deby noticed the LED billboard across the street, and that’s where she realized what’s going on.
 “Oh.”
Anna just looked back at her friend with a little smile and Deby heaved a deep breath and tapped her best friend’s arm to console her.
“It’ll never be easy, Anna, but eventually you’ll get better. Soon.”
She just smiled back. A helpless smile.
   —   —   —
Both of them decided to find another coffee shop. It was Deby’s suggestion since she said how are they gonna sit back & relax in front of a LED screen if that video continuously playing?
“I have prepared a party for our graduation and I want you to be there,” Deby said and sipped her coffee Americano.
“Who else will be there?” Anna asked.
“I’ve sent an invite to some of our classmates from specific subjects. Just those who get close to us. Kiko will be there as well! I won’t forgive you if you’ll say no! I swear!”
She laughed. “No, of course, I’ll be there. When did you get time to arrange all these? And by the way, how much should I pay?”
Deby waved her hand. “No, no. You don’t have to pay for anything. It’s all free! You just need to get your ass there and make sure to have fun! Don’t worry, it’s all mine!”
Her eyebrow raised in disbelief. “It’s free? Where did you get the money for the expenses? I doubt you ask your parents to help you to arrange it. I know your mom so well. She’d rather spend your money on your monthly bills!”
Deby sipped her coffee and fidgeting around her bag. “Uhmmm… okay. Of course, i—ask help from few of our wealthy classmates. I just—told them that—yours will be free.”
Anna’s eyebrows furrowed. She senses something suspicious. Deby anxiously just smiled at her. She can’t just reveal that it was actually all Kim Taehyung’s idea. He wanted to celebrate their graduation & sponsored all the expenses- from the event place up to the foods & drinks. But Deby did all the work since he was so busy for the album production, concert tour & the latest performance in Billboard Music Award. He just calls sometimes to check how the progress was and of course, asking how was Anna doing. Taehyung knew how Anna avoided them and he can’t blame her. She was hurt so much and he wants to pass all the blame to his friend Park Jimin, but he also understands him.
Their relationship just happened to be so complicated. Taehyung & Deby were so affected when their friends broke up and both live a hell of lies that they were fine.
“It will not be a lavish party. Just to clear things up to you. It will be just a simple party. With friends! It’s not that expensive!” Then Deby laughed awkwardly.
Anna just nodded. She took a bite of the chocolate cupcake she ordered before asking a question which caught her best friend off guard.
 “So, how was Kim Taehyung?”
Deby felt how her heart dropped to her stomach. She almost spits her coffee but still acts like it was just a normal question. She looked back to Anna with questions on her face.
Anna leaned back to rest on the chair. “What? I was just asking how he is. You thought I didn’t know you’re still going out with him?”
 “Going out?!”
“Going out, I mean, literally going out. Not dating! Just going out to eat or maybe to catch up. Why are you so riled up?”
Deby just shook her head. “He’s fine.”
Anna scoffed. “Deby, look, it’s completely fine with me if you’re seeing him. I’m out with that shit. It’s your own life and if that makes you happy then I’ll support you. Taehyung is a nice guy. I just want you to be extra careful since you know he’s not a normal boy- next- door. Especially now that his face is literally all over the world. More eyes are watching every moved they make, and I don’t want you to experience the trouble I had when I’m still dating his. . . friend.” The last word most likely popped into the air.
Deby brushed her hair up. “Listen, Anna. Taehyung and I are just friends. We appreciate each other company. I’m always there for him as a friend. And I know… he feels the same way. I don’t want to jump to assumptions that he’s into me. Right now, what he needs is a friend. A true friend. In his world that slowly expanding for them, more and more people will try to latch on them, and he needs someone who will be true to him. That’s my role.”
Anna just smiled a little. “Well, then, fine. But be careful. I don’t want you to get hurt. It’s an unending loop of self- hatred, pain, and trauma.”
Deby nodded and reached for her best friends hands. “I know. I’ve witnessed how devastated you were before. That’s why I’m teaching myself to set boundaries as much as possible. Let’s enjoy what we have now and think later.”

Raina
The wounded man silently waited for his friend to finish pouring a bottle of Listerine into the wound on his arms. He follows what Park Jimin instructs, and with a shaking hand, he carefully did his best to clean the wound. He somehow able to stop the bleeding.
“Don’t you really want me to take you to the doctor? What if you’ll get infections? What if they need to take out the bullet and stitch the wound?” Kim Taehyung asked.
Jimin checked the gauge tied around his wounded arm. The pressure has stopped it from excessive bleeding. “No need for that. Even if I’ll let you to take me to the doctor, they wouldn’t bother to remove the bullet since it cause no harm in the scar tissues and veins inside.”
Kim Taehyung’s thick eyebrows furrowed and his mouth hung open. He was staring at Park Jimin like a student who never gets the mathematics equation on the board.
“How did you know it didn’t cause any harm inside? Look, you’re bleeding!”
Jimin stood up to get a bottle of water inside the refrigerator but too late to realize he has no stock left anymore, so he went to the sink instead and drink a tap water. After he jugs a glass of it, he put it down then went back to get clean clothes.
He moves around as if he’s not hurting; both outside and inside.
“I can feel it. I can even tell the exact location of the bullet inside. If you think that we should do our own surgery to remove the bullet because of some shit movies you’ve watched, then you’re stupid. We don’t do John Wayne into a wound with our modern Bowie knife, causing lots of damage, just to get out a bullet that isn’t going to be much of a problem. That would be stupid. Digging around can damage organs that were NOT damaged. In some cases, just like with a knife, removing the object may release a broken artery or vein and cause bleeding that can’t be controlled. Digging around can introduce foreign matter and molecules which may lead to more infection than just the bullet might cause,” he explains.
Kim Taehyung still left incomprehensible with his own thoughts.
“How’d you know all of this? It was like I am talking to a real surgeon,” he said, impressed.
Park Jimin take off his dirty shirt and throw it somewhere. “Apparently, getting old teaches you things.”
  —   —   —
Park Jimin stepped out onto his balcony with a glass of brandy on his hands. He lowered himself into the aluminum chair, resting his feet on the balcony railing. Kim Taehyung left to go back to their dorm. Jimin was surprised when his longtime friend understands his need to be isolated. He was expecting that he’ll push himself to stay over the night with him since he is wounded. Gladly, Kim Taehyung gave him a personal space to think and maybe, to weep over his breakup with Anna.
The rain, unfortunately, has stopped from pouring heavily outside. He wishes it hadn’t stopped so he would feel that the climate was sympathizing this agony which has been beating him up. He looked up at the sky and saw the moon staring back at him in a solitude distance. It wore a mysterious coating, as if it had just burrowed its way there through a mountain of ash.
The moon had been observing the earth close- up longer than anyone else. It must have witnessed all of the phenomena occurring—and all of the acts carried out—on this earth.
But the moon remained silent, it told no stories.
All it did was embrace the heavy past with cool, measured detachment. On the moon, there was neither air nor wind. Its vacuum was perfect for preserving memories unscathed.
No one could unlock the heart of the moon.
Park Jimin raised his glass to the moon and asked, “Have you gone to bed with someone in your arms lately?”
The moon did not answer.
“Do you have any friends?” he asked.
The moon did not answer.
“Don’t you get tired of always playing it cool?”
The moon did not answer.
When gets exhausted, he leaned his head backward and let his eyes glued on a clouds silently passing above the city, covering from time to time the moon that he has talked to. It was like a pool of strangers who were trying to interrupt their conversation.
He drew a long deep breathe, letting flashbacks flooded inside his clouded head.
***
The final verdict hasn’t announced yet but Park Jimin already knew what will be the result. How wouldn’t he know, when the moment the judge opened the folder containing the decision, he easily could even hear his way of reading the statement silently, through his eyes & mind, without opening its mouth. So even before the foreman has read the final verdict out loud, Jimin was already calmed & in ease. Knowing he will not be detained.
Park Jimin turned his head to look at Lee Gikwang who sat across them. He felt bad for him. The decision may be is ‘not guilty’, but deep inside him, he’s been ‘guilty’. He wanted to apologize, and turn back the time, and maybe find someone who’s bound to die also like his sister. So he should have killed someone else, instead of her. But everything’s all too late now. Lee Gikwang’s sister is dead, and nothing could pay for the damages he has caused.
He eventually could feel & realize how his existence has been a cause of a huge damage in a natural human cycle. How he had many times ruined the natural death of a person, and been meddling the proper balance of life.
Even if he’ll get a chance to turn back the time, and choose somebody else to devour, it will still be a murder. And he’s still a killer.
When the jury foreman has read the final verdict, his eyes remained to stare at Lee Gikwang. He witnessed the inevitable changes in his face expression—the disappointment, misery, sadness, and all the expression someone could feel after a very devastating news. Lee Gikwang’s head leaned down as if the whole weight of the universe was entrusted to his shoulders.
Park Jimin’s team shouted & cheered in happiness, but the dooming effect has lingered inside the room through the despair of the young man on the other side of the line.
He saw Lee Gikwang reached out for his phone and answered a call.
 It’s his mom.
Despite the noise and the weakness of Park Jimin, he listened to a voice of an exhausted- very weak- old woman on the other line. He heard how she asked his son, and also heard the long- deep breathe of the son, as an answer to his mother’s question. And silent sobs & whimpers followed after.
It broke him.
It broke Park Jimin.
Lee Gikwang infuriated hang up and turned his head to look back at him. Their eyes met, and a vigorous look of someone who wanted a revenge has shown upon his eyes. Park Jimin suddenly stood up from his seat and left the room without a word.
Lee Gikwang talked to him through his mind. He knows he’s listening to him, and words don’t need to be utter to tell him this battle is an eye to an eye. A tooth for a tooth.
He rushed to get into the parking lot and immediately called out his best friend’s attention through his mental ability.
“Kim Taehyung, this isn’t a hallucination, you really can hear me. I need you. Anna is in danger. I’ll get going there first. Do everything you can to retrieve your phone from the manager & I will contact you there. I can’t use all my strength to talk to you through this.”
With a heavy heart, shaking hands and sweating forehead, the petrified man stomped the gas to speed up the car.
  ***
Park Jimin opened his eyes realizing he’s still on his balcony. Thick dark clouds covered the moon again, never hesitates to completely intrude the conversation between him and the silent moon watching him below. His head remained resting on the cold steel of the chair, not moving an inch. His fingers intertwined like a braided hair of a little girl. The bruises and scratches on his knuckles remained fresh.
The image of his princess in the hands of kidnappers remained vivid in his memory.
In spite of the sheer fact that he’s getting weaker every day, Park Jimin still pushed himself all throughout. He left his moving car and appeared in front of the men who took her princess away. His sudden appearance surprised them the most, but the loud explosion of the moving car he had just left without a driver, and let it hit a wall had somehow scared them. They tried to hide it but he smells it.
He one by one took them down and accepted the gunshots from them. The inside of the van is a tremendous chaos with blood spilled all over. Park Jimin made sure that Anna will not get hurt so he grabbed her in one move and safely put her down in the far most back seat.
The princess remained sleeping soundlessly while the angel fought and protected her with his remaining life.
  ***
The man continuously watched the thick clouds above the sky. A sign of a heavy downpour smelled around the city. Minutes passed and the chilly wind blew harder. The thick clouds were mandated to move forward, and the bright moon has appeared once again.
Park Jimin smiled a little while staring back at the luminous beauty of it.
“Will you watch her after for me when I’m gone?”
 The moon did not answer.
“Please. . . look after her for me.”
But the moon still did not answer.

Kopfkino
Yoon Doo-Joon woke up in a cold room with a blinding ceiling light flashing directly in his eyes. He tried blinking his eyes first before he got a clear vision to check where he was.
A white- painted walls stared back at him, and a clean white blanket covers his body. The silence quietly piercing his ears. The door cracked open and it reveals Deby who’s smiling back at him.
“Doo-joon! Glad you’re awake!” she enthusiastically went into the room and sat next to the bed.
The man carefully peeled his body off from the bed and sat comfortably with his back against the headboard. He massaged his head, most likely trying to remind himself of the last thing he could remember.
 “Where am I?” he asked.
Deby gave him a confused look.
 “Can’t you remember? You’re in a hospital,”
 He was surprised. “What?”
Deby chuckled first then watched him with a serious expression. “Dude! You’ve been sleeping for a good one month already. You seriously can’t remember anything?”
The man got choked from his own spit and straightened his body from a terrible news.
“What the fuck?! Are you kidding?! How come I’ve been sleeping for a month?”
Then a memory has flooded through his mind. There he recalled he was trying to save Anna from the goons who were trying to kidnap her. The last thing he remembers was he was kicked in the stomach and get punched in the face then a cloth was forced to cover his mouth and he tried to fight back but he loses his senses.
“Wait! Wait! Anna! Where’s Anna?! She was kidnapped! How is she?! Did you saved her?!”
He noticed how Deby’s face immediately changed and looked down.
“She’s… she’s gone,” then looked back at him with pain in her eyes.
His mouth hung open and he felt how his heart stopped beating.
“Kidding!!! Dude, she’s fine, what do you mean that she’s kidnapped? She’s safe and sound and probably eating back in her apartment. You sure you didn’t hit your head on the floor? And I was just joking when I told you you’ve been sleeping for a month! You just passed out and been sleeping for three hours. We saw lying on the sidewalk and we went frantic. Glad we rushed you here and the doctors said you’re just sleeping. Maybe you just passed out due to over fatigue. So get the fuck up there because I badly wanna go home now and get a complete rest from all these chaos.”
Doo- Joon rolled his eyes, pissed off. He watched when Deby stood up from the chair and picked up her bag on the side table.
“I can’t be wrong. I’m really sure some madmen were trying to take her away. I’m sure it’s just not an imagination or hallucination. I even tried to save her and I got kicked and punched!”
Deby shrugs him off. “Well, if you really got kicked and punched, you should get at least bruises, right?”
He was stopped and immediately check his abdomen and knuckles. He even asked her to hand him out a mirror to check his jaw and the side of his lips but it’s completely fine and clean. He can’t also feel any pain in his body.
He looked back at her, terrified.
 “Have I gone bonkers?”
Deby laughed. “I don’t know. C’mon, let’s get you home. Seriously, I am in so much pain because of a headache.”
She called a nurse to help them assist for the dextrose IV and to settle their bill. They took a cab since Doo-Joon was advised not to drive and just get a complete rest, while Deby doesn’t have a driver’s license yet. She’s too busy in university to manage it.
“What happened about the hearing? How did it go?” he asked on their way back to his house.
The lady sitting next to him pouted and tried to come up several answers but no matter what she does, it still always end up with the realistic approach: to tell the truth.
“Hmmm. . . I don’t know if I should categorize it as a bad news or a good news.” She said without looking at him and just watching the city rolling on the window like a film tape.
It’s a bad news for Lee Gikwang’s party but a good news for Park Jimin’s team. She doesn’t know where to put herself in between the two. She understands Gikwang but she also knows Jimin.
“Just stop beating around the bush,” he replied back.
“Gikwang’s party lose the case in the trial court, and the judge immediately closed the case.” She stopped and turned his head to look at him. “Final verdict, Park Jimin is not guilty.”
He couldn’t hide the annoyance and muttered, “Fuck.”
Deby just turned her head back to watch again the view outside the cab. She heaved a deep sigh and closed her eyes to let her mind stop from thinking. The exhaustion, panic, and chaos have slowly beaten her up, she could feel just how long they have waited to get to the end of all of these.
She recalls the frightening call she received moments later when it was announced in the media that the final verdict to Park Jimin is not guilty. A mixture of cries and excitement could be heard outside the trial court from the fans who have waited despite the cold temperature. She felt at ease but then received a call from Kim Taehyung.
His voice was shaky when he told her that they need to meet and get hurried because her friend was kidnapped and even Doo-Joon’s life is in danger. She couldn’t comprehend it at first but the call hasn’t ended yet when a warm hand suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her to a more private place.
It was Kim Taehyung. Trying to hide his face with his hoodie jacket.
“We need to hurry. Chim just told me that Anna was kidnapped. Let’s wait here coz I already called for a cab. He went there first.”
Deby can’t catch what he was saying. “Wait, hold on! Anna was kidnapped? Is this for fucking real? Whoah, I thought kidnapping only exist in movies!”
“Look, Deby. This isn’t funny. This is a serious matter.”
 She paused. “Okay…”
They mostly had exchanged attitudes. She can see how nervous Kim Taehyung was.
“Shouldn’t we need to call 911? Look, my friend was kidnapped and here we are waiting for a cab?”
“It’s Jimin’s order. He doesn’t want to involve more people here. It’ll just create a more tremendous scene. He wants to settle this on his own.”
 “But—“
He cut her off. “Shut it. Let’s just trust him, please. If you could just imagine how scared I am right now.”
“And I’m terrified, for a record.”
The taxi has arrived and they advise the driver to take them to a specific place where Jimin has texted. They both have no clue what will happen next. Just two human beings on the back seat of a taxi cab praying to get a long sleep after these.
The taxi brought them in a deserted area. They paid and told the driver to leave immediately as soon as they get off the cab. The two of them took the road by walking and half running, soon after, they reached an abandoned tunnel leading to god-knows-where.
A van was parked in the middle of the tunnel. They both shared a look when they couldn’t hear anything from it. Kim Taehyung signaled that he’ll check it first. When it’s positive & clear, he signed to follow her.
Deby gasped with the image that she only sees in a movie and was displayed right in front her. Blood spilled all over the vehicle. A group of men laying inside the van, unconscious. And Park Jimin with Anna sleeping in his arms, while Doo- Joon was found in the seat unconscious, too.
“I won’t ask what happened here because it’s obvious this is a blood bathe scene I have never imagined I’ll witness in my entire life,” Deby said and rushed to check her friend’s status.
When Park Jimin noticed what she was doing, he spoke up to assure Anna was just sleeping. He also mentioned that he let Doo-Joon take a sip of his blood so his bruises and wounds will get healed. He also mentioned how he tried to make him forget about this kidnapping issue but too weak to do that so the least he could do is to heal his wounds and direct Deby to tell him that he just passed out beside the highway.
At first, she thought how silly it was but just followed what he instructs anyway.
They brought Yoon Doo-Joon in the hospital and Park Jimin suddenly disappeared without telling them where he’s gonna bring Anna.
Kim Taehyung left Deby just to make sure nobody will see him in public and will try to check Anna’s apartment if Jimin brought his girlfriend there.

  “We’re here,”
Deby opened her eyes. The first thought struck her was who tried to kidnap her friend. If it’s Gikwang’s motive, then she certainly can’t trust anyone now. She silently looked at Yoon Doo-Joon's face and thought that this man almost risked his own life to save her friend, which mean he knows nothing regarding the kidnapping.
“Aren’t you gonna get off from the cab?” Doo-Joon asked. She looked around and indeed saw they have already arrived in front of his house.
“I bet you can manage now to walk to your house, right? So, goodbye.”
Yoon Doo- Joon scoffed and shut the taxi door so loud. The naughty girl left inside the cab just laughed and told the driver to bring her to the home address she provided.
