Was playing Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity and I found this parrot in my room screaming the above word at me. I'll get you back for this prank DJenderfunk!
I think I’m slowly losing my love for anime. Going back and looking at this year’s anime releases has really put a dark cloud over my heart. I’ve spent hundred of hours watching Goku grow up, Luffy search for the One Piece, Ichigo save his friends and many more. When I go back and look at the beginning and compare it to now it fills me with nostalgia and love for the characters. Its anime like these which allow the viewer to really connect and root for the hero of the story. These protagonists stand above a solid foundation of character development with the cement being their beliefs.
Now lets talk about the recent trend in anime. EVERYONE LOVES GENERIC SCHOOL ANIME!!! It’s like every story in Japan is stuck in this endless cycle of, “OH! That guy is making money off of a stupid harem school show? Maybe I should make one too!” What ever happened to being creative or original? Is there some sort of demand by the general populace that greatly influences how a story writer should create his next project? From my understanding, it goes as follows. Main character acquires harem > trouble in paradise > main character is a brick and cannot compute > stupid shenanigans happen and the last five episodes should have been wrapped up in one > females in harem fight among themselves for main character > main character upgrades to a potato and does nothing > series end and instant profit. Its so frustrating to see that this is what everyone is excited about.
If you managed to listen to my small rant at 4:08 AM then congratulations. I know I’ve been away for awhile but I’m trying to work my way back into this whole community. I’ve been in a rut about my Youtube channel for the past couple of weeks about what I want to do. As I’ve worked on editing my videos I noticed that my interest isn’t in, “lets get this video up for profit,” rather “Maybe I could edit this down and maybe add some subtle music like Vanoss or Mr.Moon.” It’s really bothered me whenever I put up a video with little work on it and I expect it to get views. I want to take pride in what I create and have people notice that. So what do you guys think? Should I worry myself over trying to make everything like a movie, or have videos like everyone else?
Don’t you love trying to write down an idea for a story you think is really cool but the person next to you is telling you how dumb it sounds. The woes of being a DM. ;-;
