As a fighter, Akemi displays a preference for long-range combat. Her spells usually feature wave after wave of bullets fired at unconventional angles and constantly changing speeds in order to confuse and overwhelm her enemies while she usually remains stationary. A classic sorcerer type.

She says that she does that in order to concentrate on her spells and make them more organized and complex, but the truth is that she's kind of a couch potato and doesn't like to move around a lot.
