unfollow me now this is gonna be the only thing I'm gonna be talking about for the next week I've wanted "dabi's dance" animation for so long fuck what the fuck-
When a disabled person tells you they can't do something, don't disagree. Don't argue. Don't say "of course you can!" or "just try!" or "don't be negative!" or "don't give up in advance!" We know our limits better than you do, so just listen and adjust the plans accordingly.
today i sprained my foot in the worse way possible. i slipped on a yugioh card in my room (a bunch actually since i was sorting them). this is it. yugioh will be the death of me
Something that I feel took me a while to accept is that I don't need to be special.
I feel like we all grow up being told we need to make something of ourselves, succeed in life, reach great heights...whatever you want to call it. It's not realistic and it's not necessary. Beyond that I feel like success is in no way the key to happiness, instead the pressure we put on ourselves to become whatever it is we apparently need be to somehow feel valid is what makes our generation so uniquely stressed, anxious and unhappy. Somehow all of us are trying to reach our own unatainable goal.
It's okay not to be "the chosen one". It's okay to get a regular job and have a regular life. In fact I've become very content since I got my current job, which is a save job, not impacted by covid with good pay, one which I'll likely be able to do until I retire one day.
I'm actually happy and content. I don't need to be famous or rich, my life doesn't need to "mean" anything to anyone but myself.
I've found happiness in everyday life. In my hobbies, in my friends.
