Las Vegas Strip Night Flight by Helicopter

You can explore Las Vegas by foot or bus. Go up the stratosphere, see it from the high roller but there is no view like from above and tonight we're gonna do that on a night flight by helicopter over the Las Vegas strip. -  Okay here we go. - Wow, we are movin'. - So we're gonna go fly in the helicopter, a thousand feet above the strip all the way down to Freemont Street, bird's eye view. You won't find any other view in Vegas like it. - We are just going along the side. I can see all the different hotels. I can see Mandalay Bay, New York New York. There is the Bellagio. Oh wow the high roller is all lit up. That is neat. Can you believe it? Stratosphere. Highest point in Las Vegas and we are even above that. This is amazing. This city really is full of lights. It's incredible. It's no wonder that they can see Las Vegas from space. I had high expectations of what the views over the strip would be but those exceeded them ten-fold. This was an outstanding once in a lifetime experience. You're missing out if you don't take a helicopter over the strip at night.

Feeling more tropically inclined? Kick off those heels and feel the sand between your toes at The Mirage and Mandalay Bay resorts. The resorts on the Strip are so vast and self-contained, it's possible to land in one and not step outside again for the rest of your stay. Las Vegas - Hoover Dam

Built in the 1930s, the Hoover Dam is one of the greatest engineering achievements in history. And it is one of the most visited dams in the world. We're here in the visitor's center and we're gonna go watch a little video, learn a bit of the history of the dam and then go down inside. Whew, that was a ride! We've just gone 500 feet down under the Hoover Dam. It's like a maze down here. (upbeat music) This is eight of the turbines and you can see them spinning and spinning and spinning, the water is rushing through and making them spin, and producing electricity. It's really neat that this is how homes and all sorts of things are powered. By a dam. We are now up here, looking out over the dam, and it is outrageous! The size and magnitude of this place is hard to take in. The Colorado River is what feeds the Hoover Dam, so you have Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the United States, it's on this side. We've got the dam here, and then it all floods out to the other side. This is pretty extraordinary. It's massive.
