“Fortnite” & TikTok Come Together For An Emote Contest #Fortnite newest collaboration sees it team up with #TikTok to launch the Emote Royale Contest. The competition, which is already live and will run until January 24, gives people the chance to get immortalized in this battle royale game forever. Those looking to participate in this contest will have to submit a video of themselves performing an original dance move on TikTok. The video must not be longer than 15 seconds in length and must have the #EmoteRoyaleContest hashtag in the title. Further, it must include one of the pre-selected Fortnite emote tracks. The tracks can be added to a clip in the TikTok app or downloaded from Epic Games' blog. To be considered for evaluation, video submissions must be made during the contest period. As said earlier, the Emote Royale Contest ends on January 24, 2020, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Note that participants must be at least 13 years old to be eligible to win. You can check the official contest rules here. All qualified submissions will be reviewed and scored by a panel of qualified judges to select the winning entrant. The winner will then be notified via TikTok on or about January 31, 2020. At the time of reporting, the #EmoteRoyaleContest hashtag had gathered over 155 million views on TikTok. What does the winner get? The winning dance selected through this contest will become an Emote in Fortnite. For those who are unaware, Fortnite Emotes are in-game cosmetic items that allow players to express themselves uniquely on the battlefield. Emotes see player characters acting out entertaining moves in the game. Players can purchase Emotes in the Item Shop using V-Bucks (the game's digital currency) or win one in the Battle Pass seasons. In addition to getting themselves immortalized in a Fortnite Emote forever, the winner will also receive 25,000 V-Bucks, as well as a Fortnite VIP giveaway package. With the new story came a new character in the role of this female android that held the power of the cybernetic organisms while being a super intelligent scientist to boot. In the fighting game, 21 found herself merging with Majin DNA to give her a closer look to that of the villain Majin Buu, and it seems that Akira Toriyama is giving her an in-continuity role with the latest game of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Needless to say, spoilers are incoming! The latest Dragon Ball Z game isn't just retelling the story of Son Goku and the Z Fighters as they fought against the likes of Freeza, Cell, and Majin Buu, but it is also adding entirely new stories and including characters that didn't appear in the television series into the main continuity. Such is the case with Android 21, who has been included in a scene that shows Dr. Briefs and Android 21 working on Vegeta's Gravity training room. Best Action 2019: #Sekiro #Shadows_Die_Twice Harry: Like many, I suspect, I considered giving up on Sekiro. I wasn't even very far when the nagging voice at the back of my mind tempted me into quitting. My stumbling block came in the shape of a nondescript general: Tenzen Yamauchi. I never got the impression that this optional mini-boss gave others much trouble: he's certainly no Guardian Ape or Genichiro. To jog your memory, this is the foe with a smattering of soldiers around his perimeter, with an aggravating Sentry that loves nothing better than to bang his drum and tell everyone where you are. Once you find a method for defeating them, that part is easy. Then there's the small matter of getting repeatedly murdered by their superior. With each demise, I got sloppier. If I did manage to challenge Yamauchi unscathed, I'd be promptly sent packing. I felt like crying. I was beginning to think that perhaps these games just weren't for me. I'd heard that Sekiro was a game that just clicked with you, and I anticipated that moment as if I'd taken a drug, waiting for it to take effect. Then, suddenly, it did: sitting between the cautious defensiveness of Dark Souls and the offensiveness of Bloodborne, I realised that Sekiro's combat demanded an understanding of both. I got it. The awful sounds of Wolf's punctured flesh were replaced by the delightful tings of successful blocks, and Tenzen was defeated shortly after. The layers of Sekiro's combat system only unravelled from that point, which is a testament to its depth and inch-perfect precision. James: Holding both my middle fingers in the air for the damn ape that don't quit, a gesture of rage and respect and despair; or my feelings for Sekiro distilled. Tom: The combat is sensational. The parry system essentially gives enemies two health bars—vitality and poise—that you can attack in different ways. If you can parry well enough to put an opponent off balance, you get the satisfaction of a gory instant kill, but you can also wear down a tough enemy's health bar by dodging and striking strategically. For some foes, this is the only way you can eventually bring them down. The combat system shines brightest during some incredible boss battles. The fight with Genichiro matches ninja against ninja in a remarkable spectacle. It may be one of the best boss fights in FromSoft's rich catalogue. #Resident_Evil_3_Remake Release Date, #Trailer, Pre-Order Details, And More Nemesis returns in the RE3 remake, coming in 2020 with a special multiplayer mode Announcement and Reveal Trailer. Rumors of a Resident Evil 3 remake began in early December 2019, with cover art appearing on the PlayStation Store. Since the leak occurred prior to The Game Awards, some speculated that an official announcement would be coming then. Instead, Resident Evil 3 was announced during Sony's State of Play presentation on December 10, 2019. Despite the rumors, it was a bit of a surprise reveal--the announcer introduced the trailer as the "unannounced campaign portion of Capcom's Project Resistance." Project Resistance is Capcom's 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2019, but with no ties to Resident Evil 3 at the time. Well, surprise--Resistance is coming packaged with RE3. The Resident Evil 3 reveal trailer gave us an intense first-person POV sequence of a character fleeing from the series' iconic tyrant, Nemesis. That character was eventually revealed to be Jill Valentine, one of the last remaining S.T.A.R.S. members still in Raccoon City during the deadly zombie outbreak, which players last experienced in the Resident Evil 2 remake. (Despite the brief first-person part of the trailer, Resident Evil 3 will continue in the vein of the Resident Evil 2 remake with its over-the-shoulder third-person action.) Resident Evil fans may also be pleased (or not) to see some returning characters from the original RE3: Nemesis in the rest of the trailer. If you've never played the original and you're confused about the chronology of the series and how Nemesis fits next to the Resident Evil 2 remake, scroll down to the Story and Characters section. ‘Minecraft’ goes cross-platform on PlayStation 4 #Minecraft • #PlayStation 4 • #Cross_platform_play • Minecraft: Pocket Edition • PlayStation Eye • Xbox One • Nintendo Switch The legacy PlayStation 4 version of “Minecraft” is being retired in favor of the game’s main focus, the Bedrock Edition, which allows players to play together across iOS, Android, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Windows 10 versions of the game. A free update containing the Bedrock Edition will begin rolling out on Dec. 10, separate from the PlayStation 4 Console Edition. It also confers access to the Minecraft Marketplace, where players can find new worlds, costumes, mini-games and packs. Meanwhile, the Console Edition will be removed from the PlayStation Network Store. Existing Play Station 4 discs for the old PlayStation 4 of “Minecraft” will likewise unlock a Bedrock Edition download. Players who have the Console Edition will be able to choose between playing the older or the newer version of the community-oriented creative construction and exploration game. What the PlayStation Blog announcement does not detail, but the Xbox Wire’s equivalent mentions in a footnote, is that Play Station 4 players will need a Microsoft Account to access Bedrock Edition’s online features, long thought to be a major objection from Sony. Microsoft bought “Minecraft” studio Mojang in 2014 while the Bedrock Edition started allowing cross-platform multiplayer in September 2017, first between mobile, Xbox One and Windows 10 editions, then adding Nintendo Switch in June 2018. Sony, whose PlayStation 4 had been outselling the Xbox One, resisted the move citing security concerns. Player retention and corporate data-sharing issues were understood to be implicit in the decision. Now, “Minecraft” becomes one of a select but growing number of games on PlayStation 4 to feature full cross-platform multiplayer between the Play Station 4 and its traditional Xbox console rival. “Fortnite: Battle Royale” went first in September 2018, following difficulties encountered after PlayStation 4 players tried using their “Fortnite” accounts on Nintendo Switch. At the same time, Nintendo and Xbox had collaborated over the “Minecraft” Better Together update, further establishing the new cultural norm. PlayStation had to choose between reversing its multiplayer policies or losing the shine on its reputation for putting players first.
