Just so people know, this is actually distressingly common. But the snipers aren't there for the students, they're because gatherings like this are tempting targets for mass shooters, and snipers get deployed in advance to be ready in case it happens.
Tumblr media
cant get more fascist police state than snipers on rooftops overlooking peaceful protests.
this is what democracy looks like.

I was telling someone else, I'm legit laughing that they parsed Ladino as La Dino, and assumed the language was named Dino.
Tumblr media
this is what jvp wrote in response to the butchered Hebrew. what a fucking joke.
Jews: "hey dude your Hebrew is written from left to right, you didn't even have the common sense to double check your spelling"
JVP: "umm actually it's Zionism's fault for forcing Hebrew on their Jews and erasing their real indigenous languages 🤡"
Jews: "you realise.... the seder plate.... is always written in Hebrew..... the language of the Torah.... and it has no connection to modern Hebrew whatsoever........ you literally just had to google a seder plate and copy the fucking words........"
and just to prove this takes 5 seconds to verify:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
not only can you find a reference on google images pretty easily, you can also look it up on shopping sites like amazon to guarantee photos of empty plates (since a lot of the photos on google had the food items on them).
it's not hard to verify this, this even shows up if you google "passover plate" in case you somehow don't know what a seder is, there's no excuse for making a mistake on the most important item on the fucking table.

Go on, boycott Amazon and Google. BTW...
Tumblr media
Ok, gotta stop using all those pages.
Right, you don't want Amazon to profit, so you'll get off Facebook and Twitter, stop watching Netflix or Twitch, and though not mentioned here, Pinterest is also on AWS.
BDS is like PETA for Palestinians instead for animals.

I don't have much to add to this good breakdown, except to point out this telling freudian slip
It is literally the reason the ICJ and ICC are having trouble properly persecuting Israel right now
I assume they meant "prosecuting" which they should certainly know as a supposed law student, buuuuuut
I sat next to the protest today.
I wrote fan-fiction about two gay jewish dads raising children to the play list of the chant- "No peace on stolen land!" on an American college campus. It isn't a name brand one either, nor does it have any legitimate ties to Israel. The anger is just there- it has rotten these future doctors, nurses, teachers, and members of society.
I don't even know what to call their demonstration- it was a tizzy of a Jew hatred affair. At points, there were empathetic statements about Gazans and their suffering. Then outright support of Hamas and violent resistance against all colonizers. Then this bizarre fixation on antisemitism while explaining the globalists are behind everything.
"Antisemitism doesn't exist. Not in the modern day," A professor gloated over a microphone in front of the library. "It's a weaponized concept, that's prevents us from getting actual places- ignore anyone who tells you otherwise."
"How can we be antisemitic?" A pasty white girl wearing a red Jordanian keffiyeh gloats five minutes later. "Palestinians are the actual semites."
"there is only one solution!" The crowd of over 50 students and faculty cried, over and over.
"Been there, done that," I thought, then added a reference to a mezuza in the fourth paragraph.
Two other Jewish students passed where I was parked out, hunching and trying to be as innocuous as possible. We laughed together at my predicament, where I am willingly hearing this bullshit and feeling so amused by this.
"Am I crazy? For sitting here?" I asked them. My friends shook their heads.
"We did the same last week- it's an amazing experience, isn't it?”
We all cackled hysterically again. They left to study for finals. Two minutes later, I learned from the current speaker that “Zionism” is behind everything bad in this world.
Forty-five minutes in, a boy I recognized joined me on my lonely bench. He came from a very secular Jewish family and had joined Hillel recently to learn more about his culture. His first Seder was two nights ago.
He sat next to me, heavy like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. There was just this despondent look on his face. I couldn’t describe it anyone else, but just sheer hopelessness personified.
“They hate us. I can’t believe how much they hate us.” He said in greeting.
And for the first time all day, I had no snarky response or glib. All I could do was stare out into the crowd, and sigh.

leftists when white supremacists are virulently antisemitic: if there’s four people sitting at a table with a nazi, there are five nazis.
leftists when islamists, arab supremacists, and leftists are virulently antisemitic: well of course there’s bad actors at every protest, and anyway these are just outside provocateurs, and they didn’t do anything really, but if they did it’s because those jews fucking deserved it

BREAKING: A man kidnapped, raped, and tortured a Jewish woman in Paris to “avenge Palestine”.This is what your protests are encouraging.

That one's been circulating for months, first place I heard it was UPenn I think back in November. And yeah, it's 100% referencing the Final Solution, back then they didn't rhyme it with "Intifada Revolution" they just chanted it.

I can't keep up. This blog thinks Aaron Bushnell was a hero. So...is suicide good or bad to you people? We've been consistent that we prefer less death happen, in general. But you don't seem to make up your mind between "kill yourself, scum" and "killing yourself is heroic." Also, amateur hour, you really should have said 7/10 humans, did you fucking forget when the greatest moment of your heroic terrorists was? Asshole moron.
Being a Zionist used to be so incurable. Now you can youse bullets on your own brain. And if you need assistance surely sure 8/10, humans will gladly assist you
Don't make Jews endure your genocide. Jews are no Zionist. And stop using that antisemitism card. No one believe it.

Protocols were published in 1903, so antisemitism is the older term.
antizionism is not antisemetism and you are delusional for believing so. the victim complex is strong
Well….it seems that you really don’t know the history of the term anti Zionism. Let me help you out a bit. The term anti Zionism was created by the Russians during the Soviet Union. The Russians hated jews. During that time period they wanted to find a way to destroy jews and their culture. That’s where anti Zionism comes in.
If you haven’t read Dara Horn’s people loves dead jews, she does an amazing job with going into detail about what happened- I’m gonna summarize it (I may not do it justice)…
During the 1920’s and 30’s the USSR was “supporting” Yiddish culture- they would pay for Yiddish language schools, theaters, publishing houses, etc. A lot of Russian jews were thriving in Russia during this time period due to the USSR “support”. But the Soviets wasn’t doing all of this to be kind and good. This was part of a larger plan to brainwash the jews so that they would submit to the Soviet regime. It came with a price.
The Soviets would eliminate anything in the celebrated jewish “nationality” that didn’t suit soviet needs. If you DIDNT practice your religion, study traditional Jew texts, Spoke Hebrew, or support Zionism- you were awesome. The soviets pioneered a well known slogan- which has spread all over the world and which it remains popular today: “it was not antisemitic, merely anti- Zionist”. The Soviets managed to persecute, imprison, torture, and murder thousands of Jews….
The only reason that the Soviets allowed Yiddish was so that they could continue their Jew hating game. Soviet Yiddish schools changed the language to get rid of biblical and rabbinic Hebrew. Why? Because Hebrew was and is still part of Jewish culture. The Soviets also forced Russian “anti-Zionism” Jews (who was brainwashed into hating their own Jewishness) to write stories and plays that would show how “horrible” traditional Jewish practice was. They would create these happy heroes who would reject both religion and Zionism.
This continued until the Soviets moved on to the next phase- purging Russian jews. If you were caught in a synagogue, a Jewish centered club, etc. you would be imprisoned, murdered, or exiled. This went on until the Soviets started to do the same thing to the anti Zionist jews.
Y’all this is why anti Zionism is antisemitic. Please know a terms history before you start spitting it out- thinking you know what it means. Anti Zionism is literally rooted into antisemitism. And the reason why a lot of countries and people use this term is because- (drum roll please)- they hate jews. This is why I keep telling y’all to please read up on history. Don’t get your info from social media or random websites. Just pick up a book, journals, or sourced papers and read them. It’s not that hard…

I've been screaming from the rooftops for people to read Nirenberg's book for about a year and a half since I did it. Seriously, do it. ESPECIALLY GENTILES. Jews, for the most part, are surprised by how deep it goes, not that the groove is there. Nonjews need to read this to understand.
“In 2013, David Nirenberg published an astonishing book titled Anti-Judaism. Nirenberg’s argument, rigorously laid out in nearly 500 pages of dense scholarship and more than 100 pages of footnotes, is that Western cultures—including ancient civilizations, Christianity, Islam (which Nirenberg considers Western in its relationship with Judaism), and post-religious societies—have often defined themselves through their opposition to what they consider ‘Judaism.’ This has little to do with actual Judaism, and a lot to do with whatever evil these non-Jewish cultures aspire to overcome.
Nirenberg is a diligent historian who resists generalizations and avoids connecting the past to contemporary events. But when one reads through his carefully assembled record of 23 centuries’ worth of intellectual leaders articulating their societies’ ideals by loudly rejecting whatever they consider ‘Jewish,’ this deep neural groove in Western thought becomes difficult to dismiss, its patterns unmistakable. If piety was a given society’s ideal, Jews were impious blasphemers; if secularism was the ideal, Jews were backward pietists. If capitalism was evil, Jews were capitalists; if communism was evil, Jews were communists. If nationalism was glorified, Jews were rootless cosmopolitans; if nationalism was vilified, Jews were chauvinistic nationalists. ‘Anti-Judaism’ thus becomes a righteous fight to promote justice.”—Dara Horn, Why the Most Educated People in America Fall for Antisemitic Lies
That’s it. I don’t think anything else could so succinctly explain the world’s dedicated Jew hatred

With all due respect, bombs and soldiers have been a very effective way to fight terrorism, especially terrorists who want to control territory, in many occasions. This isn't about killing an idea, genocidal antisemitism can't be bombed to cease existing...though it can and has been bombed to no longer have the power to kill Jews. But seriously, terrorist orgs have been destroyed by shooting and bombing the members in the past. How often do you hear about ISIS anymore? They're desperate for people to believe they attacked Russia, but even that is Islamic State Khorason IIRC, not an org in Iraq, etc. Now, as for how many civilians have been bombed, it seems like it's at most a 2:1 ratio of civilians to combatants based on our best estimates, and there's some reasons to believe it's closer to 1:1. Is this ideal? Of course not, 0:1 is the ideal. That ideal is not achievable and 1:1 and even 2:1 is not terrible for modern urban warfare. Also, the world sympathizes with Hamas because the world hates Jews, like...this isn't new. It's part of the 50-100 year cycle, we're at about 80, so right on schedule.
I'm begging the pro-Palestine movement to inject even the slightest bit of nuance into their rhetoric. I'm basically pro-Zionist at this point, but even I believe you SHOULD be pro-Palestine to an extent.
Here are some things to consider.
Israel has a right to exist. They didn't steal the land. You can say Britain did, but it doesn't matter. It's their land now and they have a right to live there, just as Canadians have a right to live in Canada despite the history of the indigenous people. Apply this to basically any other nation.
The October 7th attack happened. It was bad. It was an act of terrorism. They killed innocent civilians on purpose. The civilians didn't deserve to die for living in Israel. You condemn the attacks.
Hamas is a valid military target. They are a terrorist organization who are constantly attacking Israel. They're not freedom fighters. They may use the plight of Palestinians as an excuse, but they cannot be taken in good faith. You condemn Hamas.
Israelis are not Nazis. There are far right people in Israel as there are anywhere. Right now Israel's right wing is exaggerated due the attacks they've experienced. People's rhetoric can get extreme when such a thing happens. It's certainly something you should be concerned about, but comparing them to Nazis is not useful at all.
Generally speaking, Israel has a good track record of taking a lot of care to avoid civilian deaths. They have a strong history of calling areas by phone to warn civilians. They will then drop a knock bomb onto the roof to scare people out before dropping the actual bomb. They do not have a policy of killing Palestinian civilians.
The reason why Israel has the reputation they do for killing civilians is threefold. 1) Palestine is densely populated which creates huge complications in war. 2) Individual IDF soldiers or groups sometimes commit attrocities, on purpose or by accident. 3) Hamas has one of the most devious PR strategies the world has ever seen.
Hamas uses human shields. And I'm tempted to say they use them more effectively than anyone has in the history of the world. They operate in or under civilian infrastructure... seemingly exclusively. They make damn sure that, if you want to bomb them, you are taking civilians with them.
Combine that with the fact there's basically no way to identify a member of Hamas from a civilian and Hamas can generate an insane civilian death toll. Why? Because they can sell it to us. The western liberal is horrified by civilian deaths. Especially if the skin color of the victims is darker than the people doing the killing. It's the perfect plot for a terrorist group to pretend they have noble intentions of freedom fighting and whatnot.
So is being pro-Palestine just utterly foolish? Absolutely not. Palestinians are in an utterly horrible position in this world and you'd be absolutely insane not to care about that. They absolutely should have their own nation with their own government. They should have the opportunity to live in peace. They should have the opportunity to live in freedom. It's almost self-evident.
Of course Israel is too expansionist. The settlements are a disgrace. The IDF's reputation is not totally unearned and neither is their government's reputation. There is the stench of far right rot in both their military and their government. Netanyahu is absolutely a religious zealot.
All I'm saying is you can't look at this as a totally one-sided thing. Most of the people posting pro-Palestine stuff are being misleading at best and spreading flat out lies more often than not. This is not a valid strategy to enact change. And, frankly, you deserve better for yourself.
You do not need to lie about Israel to be pro-Palestine.

Also, part of that is that "Black Lives Matter" is a thing, and they've very much asked people not to use "X Lives Matters" as a phrasing. I don't know for Hindus, but for Jews we have our own phrases, like Am Yisrael Chai. So...you know, maybe use those instead of stealing the work of Black activists?
very interesting to me how threatened people are if you say “Hindu lives matter” or “Jewish lives matter” and anything about surviving…almost like certain lives DON’T matter to them.

Worth pointing out regarding Jordan and islamic education...lots of European countries (for instance, the UK) have established Churches and require courses the teach their church's theology, though you can opt out. And that's ALSO not ok, but no one seems to make a big deal out of it.
"the reason muslims are allowed to have 55 countries is because people in those countries were always muslim."
OH REALLY. so Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were all originally muslim? THEY ARE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES.
Bangladesh, Indonesia, the converted billions in Malaysia, SIngapore, Thailand, etc were originally muslim? THESE ARE ASIAN COUNTRIES.
Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Mauritania, Mayotte, Libya, Senegal, etc were muslim nations originally, back thousands of years? THESE COUNTRIES ARE IN AFRICA, NOT ARABIA.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK ISLAM GOT TO THE REST OF THE WORLD??? OSMOSIS?
IT'S CALLED COLONIALISM AND CONQUEST. THESE PEOPLES ARE MUSLIM NOW ARE MUSLIM BECAUSE. OF. CONQUEST.
This is why Turkey, Iran, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, PALESTINE, etc have any Arab or muslim populations. CONQUEST. The native peoples in all of these places were not originally muslim or Arab at all.
Pull your head out of your ass and stop pushign revisionist history. JIHADIST ISLAMIST (there is a difference between REAL ISLAM and ISLAMIST islam, just like there is a difference between christianity and the westboro baptist church) supporting Muslims are rewriting their history, their Quran, their religion, to push an abusive Jew hating message. They are painting muslims as victims in a history where they were always perpetrators. THEY are colonizers, just like european christians.
Pushing this worldview, these lies, is about as ignorant as arguing that the world is flat.
It is not "woke." It isn't liberal. It's pushing a fascist ideology that paints an oppressed group, Jews, as oppressors. The nazis did the exact same thing.
PLEASE learn real, actual history, supported by archaeology and primary sources.
Judea and Israel were originally and always Jewish land. It came under muslim rule due to CONQUEST. They took the name the ROMANS, one of the worst oppressors of Jews, gave to the area.
