Riflessi
incostanti e fragili
come scatti di fotografie fluttuanti
che danno una seconda vita alle cose
tanto che quando ti vedi
ti chiedi chi sei
sei reale o è tutta un'illusione?

Is your oc in summer shape or are they always in summer shape?
Well, I've got this peculiar passion for... NUDES. Not in that sense HAHAHAHA
I love everything about anatomy, so I tend to draw simple outfits to show more skin. Also, I'm still learning to draw clothes, so sometimes I tend to pay more attention on the character itself, so then I'm like "well... Can't draw him/she naked!"
I'm talking about the new drawings I posted. The older ones shows different kind of outfits but for now I'm blocked on the physical appearance of the character.
So no, it's not summer all year in my story😂❤️ thanks for asking, feel free to ask more!

“We can do noble acts without ruling earth and sea;
for even with moderate advantages one can act excellently.”
Aristotle, Ethics
Theseus arrived at the propylon of the Pelasgian walls that surrounded the acropolis. The strong fortress did justice to its cyclopean reputation as the limestone boulders of which it was made seemed impossible to be lifted by humans. He looked up, over the walls where the palace stood prominent at the top of the hill. It was almost midday when he finally reached his destination, walking through the bustling city of Athens. There were two full-armed guards keeping the gate, wearing red cloaks and their shields bearing Athena’s owl, the city’s crest. A few steps farther there was a group of four soldiers talking to each other.  He felt nervous realizing how close he was to finally meeting his father for the first time. He drew in a deep breath and came up to the gate guards to ask for a hearing with the king.
“Who makes this request?” One of the soldiers, the older one, questioned.
“Theseus.”
The soldier examined the young man in front of him, opening his mouth to demand of him to present properly but stopped right away because the unusual name sounded familiar.
“Did you say Theseus?” His face bore a quizzed expression.
“Yes, I did.”
Theseus noticed that the attention of both the guards and the soldiers that stood close by was now on him. He grew more alert, monitoring the moves and expressions of everyone in case he needed to defend himself. Maybe somebody knew of his true identity after all, and gave orders to the soldiers to capture or even worse kill him on spot.Out of the corner of his eye, he saw one of the soldiers approaching the scene. Theseus moved slightly so he could have all of the men in his visual field. The newcomer inspected him from head to toe, his expression unreadable.
“Theseus? As in the man who killed Sinis?”
Theseus just nodded being very suspicious about the man’s intentions. The soldier made a sudden move towards Theseus, causing the second to take a step back and assume a defensive stance bringing his hands in front of him. Both guards took a stronger hold of their spears readying themselves in case they needed to intervene.
“No, wait!”
The soldier realized that his unexpected movement alerted Theseus and raised his hands in surrender, approaching him hesitantly and reaching out to him.Theseus let the soldier come closer watching every single move the strange man made just in case. The soldier took his hand and gave him a very warm handshake, his expression turning from caution to what Theseus perceived as gratitude.
“Thank you, my lord! You don’t know the service you had done to me and my family.” The soldier’s eyes were glassy with emotion.
Theseus stared at him with surprise, his jaw gone slack.
“What?” It was the only thing he could mutter as he pulled his hand back looking at the man in bewilderment.
“May the Gods give you all the blessings for avenging my brother’s horrid death. I don’t know how to repay you.” His voice came out hoarse.
Theseus noticed that the rest of the men were nodding with sympathy like everyone knew what he was talking about. After the first shock subsided, realization dawned on Theseus while his face grew softer with sympathy for the man’s loss.
“I’m sorry your brother had to suffer like that,” he offered his condolences.
“Thank you, my lord. You are a true hero, equal to Hercules.”
“I didn’t know that news traveled so fast.” He smiled shyly lowering his eyes.
“Of course! The whole city is singing praises to your name for all your heroic deeds. Especially traders who now have a safe route for their business. Don’t be surprised if they build a shrine to honor you.” The second guard explained.
“They are rubbing their hands for the potential profits in view, not having to be exclusively dependant on ship owners.” The first guard pointed out with a hint of irony in his words.
“And the citizens are happy now that safety is restored. If only you had killed him earlier, my poor brother would be alive now!” The soldier added heartbroken.
“What was your brother’s name?” Theseus, who was just watching the conversation trying to process the new information, asked the grieving man.
“Cylanthus of Agnus and I am Leos.”
“May you have a long and righteous life Leos to honor Cylanthus’ memory.” Theseus wished him, giving him a pat on the shoulder.
“Do you still wish to see the king, Theseus?” The second guard reminded him.
“I do.” Theseus nodded with a smile.
“I will announce you, immediately. I’m sure the king will be very glad to receive you.” He said as he left.
The first guard was scanning Theseus up and down with an unconvinced smile. Theseus noticed the examining stare and turned to him with a grin on his face.
“What? I don’t fit the description?”
“You are not much to look at, young man, but if I have learned something in this life is that nothing is what it seems.”
                           ————————————————
King Aegeus had been informed about Theseus arrival and demanded to see him right away. Leos offered to escort the young hero up to the acropolis and into the palace. While walking up the hill, Theseus took the opportunity to get acquainted with the current situation of the royal court.
“What is the king like?” Theseus asked trying not to seem overly curious or show any emotion.
“He is a good man and a just ruler. But his childlessness has taken a big toll on him and his place on the Athenian throne. There are too many suitors for the damn thing.” He shook his head in disappointment.
“Oh, really?” Theseus tried to seem disinterested gazing at the leaf he had cut from one of the olive trees surrounding the rocky path that kept his hand busy.
“Yes, starting with his own brother Pallas for one and his fifty children.” Leos went on. “Who bears fifty children? I’m sure he did it to spite the king.”
“What keeps them from claiming the throne?”
“Medea. If it weren’t for her, things would be completely different. I know what I’m talking about, I am assigned in the Pallantides’ guard.”
“Jason’s Medea?” Theseus’ face grew worried.
“Is there anyone else?”
“What is she doing here?” Theseus pressed.
Leos gave him a puzzled look. “She’s the new Queen of Athens, pregnant with Aegeus’ child.”
Theseus stopped in his tracks at the hearing of the king’s expectant wife. His eyes dimmed with apprehension. He looked away lost in his thoughts. He had dreamt of this moment, of how his father would receive him with open arms. His long lost son. But there hadn’t been another child in that scheme. Especially Medea’s child, as if the situation wasn’t bad enough already.
“I understand your concern my lord.” Leos’ voice snapped Theseus out of his haze. He peered at him as if he was trying to find out how he could read his thoughts.
“That murderous sorceress,” Leos shook his head in disapproval, “she killed her own children,” he whispered. “What cold-hearted monster does that?”
The two men started walking again. The queen’s dreadful acts had been known to the entire Hellenic territory serving as a cautionary tale of what lengths a scorned and vengeful woman can go. Theseus couldn’t help but think on what grounds his father decided to overlook her wicked nature, making her his queen and having a child with her. Was his lust for power stronger than his morals? Leos broke the awkward silence once more.
“You know, some say that she performs dark rituals to the chthonic gods, drinking sacrificial blood. Others say that she can bring back the dead,” Leos sounded almost scared.
Theseus realized that they weren’t alone anymore. Guards, soldiers, and officials made their appearance as they got closer to the gate of the inner wall that protected the palace.
“Hold your tongue, Leos. This is the queen you are talking about. Royal courts are not a safe place to be so outspoken.” Theseus warned him.
“You seem to know your way around royal courts, my lord.” Leos made a faint bow with his head.
Theseus only then noticed that Leos’ had been calling him that all this time and he never corrected him allowing the man to draw the conclusion that he was of noble descent. Theseus winced faintly at his slip, which was justified partly because growing up as a prince he got used to being called a lord and partly because of all the overwhelming information he had received from Leos and the guards. He made a mental note to be very careful from now on because he had a royal challenge in front of him.
Theseus brought his finger to his lips motioning Leos to keep silent.
