coming from someone with an ED, the thing i learned from my father (who i love dearly, but who also gave me so much stress when he made me feel guilty for not eating) is that it’s all about MODERATION. so long as you’re not eating unhealthy heavy meals every day, it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself. hell, it’s even better to do so! if your relationship with food is anxiety causing, get acquainted with it. make eating a positive experience, which means eat things you ENJOY. eating healthy does not mean swearing off what you like- it means balancing it without other foods that are more healthy.
reminder that it’s okay to eat a big meal or an “unhealthy” meal or snack. it’s important to give your body what it needs and sometimes what it needs is something warm and comforting and tasty. it’s important to be both happy and healthy. one snack, one meal, one day, won’t change your body or your health. you deserve nice things ❤️🩹
