Forum Move

Well, it's happening. Tapatalk has bought out Zetaboards as well and we are going to be forcefully "upgraded" to their "service". Unfortunately, Zetaboards does not allow database backups and so it will be a new, squeaky clean forum. We're in the process of moving to Jcink and will have links for you soon, as well as a plot to move us forward on the new host and a few upgrades we think you'll like.

We have the skeleton of the board (As well as informational topics and adoptables) moved over to the new service. It looks really, really great! We managed to archive and save (as well as move) all past hatchings so those will be available on the new board. More info is heading your way in the coming week. We advise you to back up your characters and favorite threads now, as Tapatalk is already sending out board previews and the conversion may or may not be on the near horizon. In addition: If you'd like to carry over your marks and post count to the new forum, please save your bank and make a note of your count now, as I do not know if post count carries over to Tapatalk.

The Zetaboards transition is complete! Aside from a few site graphics that need to be uploaded, and bits of code in past posts to be fixed, we are good to go! It looks like all posts and profiles made the transition without a problem and we've even added a few improvements to the board! Please, pardon our dust while we adjust!

Migration!

Hello, Vaioa! We have some big news! Invisionfree is being “upgraded” to a new platform. We had a choice of platforms, and we have chosen to move to Zetaboards rather than Tapatalk. This change will occur on October 14 for Vaioa. This gives everyone a few days to back up their characters, signatures, and note pads, which we strongly recommend. Posts and such are supposed to be preserved when we migrate, but it is better to err on the side of caution.

Unfortunately, the migration will not preserve our formatting or coding, so once we migrate, the site will look very different for a while, until we are able to get our coding in place on the new interface. We ask everyone to please bear with us and give us time to get everything set up! We will also have a thread where you can report things that need to be fixed, so that they can be brought to our attention. Past post formatting may be messed up, because zetaboards does not allow the use of doHTML and some of the code commands are different. It will be a learning experience for all of us as we figure out the preferred style of coding. While the format of some of our old posts and threads may be messed up after the migration, it will not be necessary to go back and reformat all of your old posts. If anyone has experience with Zetaboards and can help us along with the transition, it would be much appreciated!

Poses are hard. 

Yet another project getting underway. Currently getting people to vote on which canon colors apply to which poses. As well as any feedback people might have. 

These are rough sketches to try and figure out mood and pose for each dragon and wher. Still have a whole lot of anatomical work to do on these kiddos.

Happy summer, Vaioa! While we got swept away in a bit of spring madness, the summer has brought us back together, and the site is returning to a steady hum of activity. If you're interested in getting some writing done, now's the time to come back :) There's plenty of activity coming up or just starting! The following Weyr Events are open to all participants: *The candidates have been dropped into the wilderness to test their survival skills and teamwork abilities, but Pern itself seems intent on shaking them up. *Coal and Flint wings are firing up with a drill; join in and keep those Threadfighting skills fresh. *Gold Nazteth has begun lurking near the hatching grounds and growling at all the passerbys, which means a clutch is probably on the horizon. *Northern whers are being gathered to explore some of the tithe trains, as an unusually high number of tithes have been arriving soiled and unusable. *In the South, Smiley has attacked again and Cove Weyrhold is still shaken and trying to recover. Exploration and rebuilding efforts are continuing, as the Southerners are undaunted. For ease of writing, we are turning back time to right after Zinc's hatching. If you had the good fortune to Impress out of Serynth's first clutch, then the time is ripe to start playing your baby dragons or to jump back into the action if you've been away a long while!
