#i was at a restaurant today seated near a family with some small children #they were playing I spy to keep the kids entertained while they waited for food #and the mom spied something yellow and nobody was getting it #i made eye contact at her and pointed to a yellow thing they hadn't guessed yet and she nodded #the validation the triumph i felt....effervescent #and all because it's actually pretty okay to make eye contact with a stranger and play in the space with them

#once i locked the front door after our last client left and went back in the exam room to find that they had forgotten their phone #so i went sprinting back toward the parking lot to catch them before they drove away #and you'll never guess what happened when i tried to push open the door i had locked not 30 seconds prior #i hit it full force and flattened out like a wile e coyote cartoon before i accordioned to the floor in true looney tune style #painful? yes. loud enough that everyone in the building witnessed it? also yes #very very funny? i stayed on the floor for at least 2 minutes crying with laughter #the client had already driven away anyway too

im telling you all... its so worth it to spend a whole evening make 100 million homemade gyoza (even though it takes so long) and freezing them all to have perfect delicious gyoza just the way you like them anytime you want at a moments notice. they seriously take like 10 minutes to prepare from frozen and they are so good. i just had a dumplings and noodles feast you wish you were me
