I was looking at J.C. Leyendecker's paintings the other day and got inspired to try and recreate his style. I wouldn't say this is even *close* to his art, technique-wise, but I definitely learned a thing or two while I was working on this piece!

I really really like his graphic approach to shading and how he uses hatching to fill in entire color sections :]
