"You have a wonderfully brilliant mind, Edgar, sabes" Paloma smiled, she was fascinated that someone can think of a whole script let alone bring it to life in this place. She also saw the buzz it generated around town making everyone forget all of this town's worries if only for some time.

Paloma couldn't help but let out a laugh as Edgar blushed and turned away, "You know I used to get paid good money to show my tits and now I have to wipe one out every hour for free. No actually that's not true, I do it for some quiet time" she laughed.

"Oh totally, I just wish I could nap as much as her." Paloma rolled her eyes but a smile didn't disappear from her face. "I hope you're not loosing any sleep over the play?"

He smiled as he watched Paloma interact with her baby. It always warmed his heart seeing parents be loving toward their children. Edgar chuckled, cheeks tinging pink ever so slightly. "Sorry sorry, I meant nothing of it. You still look lovely Paloma, I promise."

His smile grew at the other's comment. "Don't worry about it. You've been understandably busy. Who knows, I may end up accidently writing a whole other play later down the line." From where he was sitting he caught just a flash of some of Paloma's skin and his blush grew as he looked away respectfully.

"Well, don't we all want a nap after a good meal?" he teased.

"You don't tell" Paloma said with a half smile as she rocked Alma. The little girl was intently looking at the woman her mother was talking to, "Well this baby might be a fan of you." Paloma laughed at Aya's remark, "You're kind of right on that one, lots of time for that, well not now" she noted pointing her head towards Alma. "So what is it that you did outside of here?" she asked curious.

“I’m . . . not a fan of babies,” Aya admitted, not sure how to tell Paloma that her question hadn’t been out of concern. “At least, in my career track outside of this place, I didn’t have time to think about building a family. I suppose with all the downtime here, you have nothing else to do but have sex.”

"As long as grabbing means she can play with toys a bit more independently I'm happy," Paloma laughed, even though she knew that wouldn't make them catch a break. Paloma smiled as Sofie grabbed her hand and nodded at the girl's words, "Oh, ballet sounds nice though, you know I used to dance too," she noted giving Lachlan a quick look, only realizing when she said it that maybe it's not the kind of dancing you tell your kids about. "And playing in the mud sounds way more fun," she smirked at Sofie as the four of them started making their way to the dance hall.

Lachlan ran a hand through his hair. "It looks like rather nice doesn't it?" He asked with a small laugh. "She hasn't discovered the beard yet so it's safe from the baby grip of doom."

"Yeah!" Sofie took hold of Paloma's hand so she couldn't get lost in the crowd, she might be nine now, but she was still on the smaller side for her age. "I took ballet when I was little but I didn't like it." "She preferred to play in mud with Robin, that's why." Lachlan explained.

"Oh she's so fussy these days, who knows why really." Paloma smiled, "You're okay, baby aren't you?" she used a soothing voice as she took Alma out of the sling, checking her diaper as she continued talking to Edgar. "Hey, is this you trying to tell me I look tired? Watch with your compliment, cabron." Paloma winked at him and laughed. "That is so amazing to hear by the way Ed. I wish I could've been more involved, but hey, we've got the tickets to see it already," she smiled. Paloma laid Alma on her arms and put the sling to cover herself and the baby before started feeding her when she realized diaper really wasn't the issue here. "Sorry I hope you don't mind us," she smiled quickly as Alma finally stopped fussing, food was apparently the right answer this time. "Hopefully this puts her right to sleep." Paloma exhaled.

He smiled at Paloma and Alma, shaking his head. "Of course not. Looks like someone's not having a good time." At the question Edgar's smile grew. "Oh, tired, though probably not as much as Mom over here I'm sure. Excited. Nervous. Just a couple more weeks until the big day."

Paloma looked up from trying to make faces at Alma and laughed at Aya's words, "She's exhausting anyway the fact that there's a bit of chaos around us actually just sooths me down." Paloma bounced Alma turning her towards Aya, "Who's this?" she used a baby-ish voice to talk to Alma, "Who's this new lady that seems to be interested in you, mi vida?" the baby looked confused for a second then smiled making Paloma smile in return. Seeing the new facial expression of her daughter made Paloma's heart fill with so much pride and joy.

Aya was not a festival person. However, she did enjoy art so in the end curiosity got the better of her. So here she was, among the unwashed masses, and, well, she wasn’t hating it she supposed.

That is until she stopped to get a drink and the woman in front of her was holding a baby. She frowned faintly. “Isn’t it exhausting being out here in the chaos with an infant?” she asked skeptically.

"You heard daddy? Very naughty," Paloma couldn't help but use a distorted baby-ish voice when she repeated Lach's words back to Alma as she stroked the little girl's cheek, seeing a bright smile spreading on her little face.

Paloma laughed at Lachlan's use of words, "Yeah we wouldn't want her to pull any of those locks out, love. And don't you dare cutting it so she couldn't" Paloma narrowed her eyes at her partner a smirk on her face.

"They were amazing." Paloma nodded at Sofie, "Now, cielito, is there anything you'd like to do next?" she asked Sofie and looked around to see what stands they are coming up, "You wanna go for a dance?" she nodded her head towards the performance.

Lachlan had been enjoying himself that much, he didn't even expect the sudden grab from Alma so he tried reaching out just as quickly as Paloma did, he was blushing by the time they left the stall. "That's very naughty." He did get a bit further away and laughed a bit, clearing his throat to try get the laughter to go away.

"She discovered my hair not long ago, it's ouch when she pulls." He rubbed the spot on his head.

"I know." Sofie smiled a bit smugly up at Paloma. "They were amazing and I still have some of those ration cards, I'm saving."

Paloma was bouncing a crying Alma in her baby sling but it seemed like nothing was helping which could only mean two things Alma was either hungry or needed changing. Paloma gladly was at least coming up to a stand of someone she knew. "Hi Edgar, do you mind if we sit here?" she smiled and asked without really waiting for his answer before she went around the booth and sat down on a chair next to him. "How are you?" she smiled up at him casually starting to unwrap Alma from the sling.

Where: Near some stalls that sell jewelry Who: Lachlan + Paloma + the kids

Paloma smiled looking at Sofie, Lachlan and Alma looking at cute necklaces but before either her or Lach could react the younger daughter grabbed a piece and yanked it hard. Paloma only gasped and launched forward but couldn't stop from the necklace snapping and a bunch of beads falling down.

After much apologizing and parting ways with few ration cards they made their way further through the stalls. "She's really getting into her grabbing stage. The amount of times I thought she's gonna pull all my hair out" Paloma laughed shaking her head, "Also, Sofie, those necklaces had nothing on the ones you've beaded," she winked at the girl.

Paloma smiled as she felt his lips on her shoulder, the smile grew wider as he said she's right. "I hope you know how incredibly strong you are and how much the three of us love you," she looked at him, so much love in her eyes, she brushed one hand over his hair, lingering to twist a curl, "I'm so fucking happy I've moved in opposite you."

With a small sigh, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her back, just letting himself not worry for a second and just kiss the woman he loves. "You're right, you're always right." Lachlan said when he pulled away a bit and smiled. "I need to stop overthinking the what ifs and just be here in the moment with you all."

Paloma had struggled to put Alma to sleep, but now for about 10 minutes it was peacefully quiet in the apartment. That's why as soon as she heard a knock on the door Paloma ran straight for it and opened it as quickly as she could, smiling at Vincent as she saw him. She smiled hoping she looked calmer than she just felt, "Oh, I´m sure he did, but," her smiled turned apologetic, "I honestly don't remember. It's been hectic today." Paloma moved to let Vincent come through, "Thank you for doing this, sometimes I think without Lachlan and you I'd forget to eat and just get sucked out dry buy Alma" she laughed folding her arms one over the other and leaning on the wall. "It's crazy how much time has passed," she shook her head. "How have you been anyway? I feel like I've been living in a bubble."

vincent had messaged lachlan earlier about bringing dinner over and while he was trying to be good and not make this a nightly thing he still couldn't help it. he wanted to make sure people he viewed as family were taken care of and not have an extra worry on their hands especially since he didn't mind. despite having a key he still knocked on the door before entering, smiling as he saw paloma. "hope lachlan mentioned i was coming over today to drop off some more food for you guys," vincent said closing the door behind him. "how have you been adjusting to everything? i cab't believe it's coming up on four months already."

Paloma smiled softly listening to him, "Mi vida, it's completely understandable to be anxious about it, but also, don't let it take over you. I know after what happened to Jessica your mind can slip into the what-ifs. But we are fine, baby, all of us. We'll stay vigilant, yes. But our family will be fine, trust me." she kissed him again and gave a reassuring hand squeeze. Paloma sometimes worried about the creatures and their future too, but she had a way of tuning out the weirdness of this place and just carrying to live a normal life. Which meant her worries were way more common.

Lachlan raised an eyebrow but he didn't say anything, they both knew what her mood was like recently, he had been trying to make sure she was okay. "Hm, okay, I'm worried about everything. It was just me and Sofie for a long time, now it's me, you, Sofie and Alma, there's always a worry in the back of my head, what if something happens to one of you with those things outside." He told her with a small sigh. "Sorry, my brain is just overthinking a lot recently."
