yeah but like,,, Bakugou actively hated Deku for a very long time. He literally bullied him constantly, verbally and physically, even when Deku had no means of defending himself, and never once apologized for it. He literally made up a nickname meaning “useless”. And Bakugou and Uraraka only really interacted once and it was during their fight. There has been no positive chemistry between Kacchako and Bakudeku at all :/

uhh no offense but ppl in the bnha fandom who obsessively stan kiribaku and hate on kacchako shippers and bakudeku shippers because “your ships are toxic and abusive!!!!” are such hypocrites. as if bakugou hasn’t yelled at/snapped at kirishima ever dsvbjhsnf. sorry but uhh bakugou is kind of an explosive (pun intended) douche towards everyone, so why is only one ship including him okay?? skskaksk get your heads out of your asses and let people ship him with whichever classmate they want (or characters from other classes/schools if that’s their thing)! and stop harassing people ffs!!!

Okay, so I KNOW that Deku will be 'The Greatest Hero' blah blah blah, buuut: what if he wasn't?

That's clickbait. Okay so I agree that he's a top contender for No1 however I think it would be way more fun if he shares the top spot with Todoroki and Bakugou, as in, their rankings are so very close that at every six month announcement of the hero standings they change places.

So let's say they leave UA and a couple of years later Bakugou becomes the youngest ever No1 Hero. Awesome! He's completed his life long dream and made a record, but the problem is holding onto that spot since, you guessed it, six months later Todoroki has taken the title. And then six months after that Midoriya nabs it.

The comedy borne of this predicament? Exquisite.

They're three absolute dumbasses who are fighting tooth and nail for this title, even though the public basically recognises that all three are of the same standing, cos who can be bothered to remember who's in what place rn??? But for them it's a competition.

Deku's the least bothered about it (which honestly does not mean much; he's still very much ready to drag his old classmates through the mud to be named No1). He's the 'Symbol of Peace' just like All Might and that's what mattered most anyway.

Todoroki is next up. He also cares a MASSIVE amount but at the same time he's also just in it to piss off Bakugou.

Bakugou however is ready to KILL. He won three sports festivals in a row and made a record, he was the youngest No1 hero ever AND he's recognised as the 'Symbol of Victory'. Is that enough? Of course not and he dies a little inside every time he's beaten, and is practically walking on air (I.E not kicking puppies daily) for weeks whenever he's announced the best.

If course, at least he remains moral as he tries to keep the top spot. He just takes down more villains than he gets minutes of sleep, but the other two??? HA. To boost his public ratings Todoroki has been known to post shirtless pictures on Instagram the week before the ratings. Midoriya sent out a viral tweet about the blind dog he adopted. Bakugou is d o n e.

Plus, he's the only one to manage to decrease his public ratings. Someone videoed him yelling at an old woman and he shot down to third, thanks to there being no context that it was a shape-shifting villain.

To top it all off: they're dating.

The comedic potential is limitless. They do interviews about how close their rankings are without disclosing that whoever comes third has to treat the others to a romantic meal. Their friends make fun and Bakugou has to be physically restrained from blowing up yet another coffee shop.

Eventually Midoriya wants to come out as bi and he's like 'noo, don't feel pressured to come out too'. But damn, if this effects negatively affects Deku's ratings then Bakugou will call bullshit and Todoroki just hates homophobes so they ALL come out together as dating.

Obviously they're worried about the public's opinion of all three of them but Baku said he was panromantic demisexual and if anyone calls him a faker/attention seeker blood will be spilled. So they wait for the rankings and Baku is roped into underwear modelling for his mum which, he doesn't know but, will be published the DAY BEFORE THE RANKINGS.

So Baku shoots up from third to first in less than twelve hours by such an unbelievable margin that he sets yet another record and Deku and Todoroki can't decide whether to be proud or absolutely pissed. Bakugou, on the other hand, IS absolutely pissed because he 'did not want to win this way it's an OUTRAGE' but he can't refuse to be the No1 Hero (Kirishima somehow convinced him not to riot (hah) and even Deku and Shouto don't know how).

So this dumbass competition continues and on camera they're all like 'we understand that this is an important metric crucial to hero society and no we absolutely do not treat it as a juvenile game' but thirty minutes later, at home and watching a movie, Midoriya bribes them with limited edition All Might collectables to let a few villains escape so that he can be No1.
