I got inspired by Golden Hour by JVKE and so here's this rhack drabble idk

Rhys stood in Jack's office, facing Elpis and staring out the window to admire the beautiful colors of the once thriving planet. It was haunting, but held such a melancholy beauty that he couldn't help but stare. He had a hand smoothing down the sweater that he'd stolen from Jack, humming to himself while he waited.

"Rhys! Rhysie, c'mon cupcake let's go," He turned, eyes focusing in the dim light of the massive office. Jack stood at his desk a few feet away. From where Rhys was, he could see Jack's eyes widening.

The way the light was hitting him, the view of Elpis behind him, Rhys looked like an angel. He looked every bit as deadly and gorgeous as Jack always praised him to be. There was a hard thudding against his ribcage that got stronger the longer he stared. Even clad in his old stupid sweater, shoulder sliding off to reveal the whimsical swirls of blue that painted his skin, Rhys looked like he truly belonged in that spot, that light.

"What are you staring at?" He asked with a soft laugh. Jack was so smitten, so royally fucked.

"You're so god damn beautiful, Rhys."

It caught him off guard, eyes widening a little at the absolute sincerity in Jack's voice. Rhys couldn't help the way his face heated up, the sudden shyness creeping up the back of his neck.

"You can't just.. say stuff like that, jeez." He reached a hand out for Jack, smiling when the older man slid his hand forward. He gave a tug to pull Jack to him. "Gonna give me some kind of ego," Jack leant down to kiss him softly, tender, so caring that it took Rhys' breath away. Elpis had been Jack's favorite view for as long as he could remember, but honestly he could get used to seeing it behind Rhys.
