Hiiiii!!! I'm such a fan of your work <3 I was just wondering, given MC's short lifespan, how would the LIs react when she gets older? Since by then, they might fear she wouldn't have much time left, or perhaps feel awkward about her appearance (since she looks old, and the elves still look so young?) I was wondering if they would find some ways to stop her from aging (if such a thing exists), or if they would act natural/freak out.

Hi! Thank you so much! HMM that’s been a question indeed, hasn’t it? There’s no, err, ‘canon response’ on that, because I intend to keep it vague in case I do something with the Cutinah in the future, limiting the restrictions I have with it with the vagueness there (an obnoxious trick I utilize probably more than most would like, vagueness!) BUT for the sake of hypotheticals, if she were to age and die as any other human might, well, the EL LI’s would be distraught, as you can imagine! In Ernol, Duliae and Lacey this comes in the form of desperate denial--that world full of whispered promises of vitality and extended lifespan and all three willing to travel all about in search of it. Assuming it was all futile, Duliae and Lacey come around on her deathbed and watch as their partner dies but Ernol can’t accept it even till the bitter endddd. Haron and Vadeyn, more accepting or graceful here, which isn’t to say if they thought there was something that could be done to have her live longer they wouldn’t go to lengths for it, but they’d... something between recognizing the cycle of things and not having quite as much hubris as the other three to think they could change it...

Anyway, regarding her aging, I expect that they’d be too preoccupied with the panic/bitter acceptance of watching her get older and more frail to be too bothered by things like vanity; Gha’alian’s tend to view things that happen to the body as a result of surviving as beautiful, and it’s a weird uncharted territory for them hmm.

So I've seen Ebon Light a bunch of times and never really gave it a chance but omg I finally caved and I read through it all in a day and it is my favourite visual novel! Thank you so much for the hard work you put into it! Even though you arent giving info on new projects just knowing you have ideas has me excited for whatever is to come, whenever that may be 😊

Hello, could you tell us something more about Lacey's relatives? (If you have anything to share) I've been curious about his relationship with his brother and father. He didn't seem to care that he was leaving them behind, while Gha'alia was falling apart? If you don't have time or smth, feel free to ignore it :)

Hmm he had two brothers, he the (edit) MIDDLE (pff not youngest, typed that wrong), his younger brother died. His older brother and his father are more or less off doing their own thing--their relationship that sort that .. haven’t spoken in a year but when we see each other it falls back into place without a hitch but we’re by and large living our own livessss? This isn’t so much because of distance like you may see that sort of thing IRL/modern life, but his older brother is a soldier who is frequently out and about on assignment and his father works on ships.

I have a question in an earlier ask you mentioned that Vadeyn has been previously engaged and we'd find out though dialogue in the game. I've friend quite a few different options but without luck. And ahh thank you for the compliments <3  Hmm, okay, here’s some information on his engagement, which I know isn’t nearly as fun as seeing it in game but hopefully it offers something; Vadeyn was engaged to an elf quite a few years before he meets MC(around twenty, I’d say). He found out, in the end, that she had an interest in marrying into his family, and thought she could shape him into a more ideal Gha’alian, that she found his actual... well, personality about as off-putting as most Gha’alians do, and was simply holding out hope that with a bit of work/manipulation he’d fall in line. Vadeyn was gullible and uncharacteristically unobservant to the point that he was clearly just believing about this what he wanted to, and was unlikely to break it off before the wedding or call it out quickly afterward, but she ended up feeling guilty, and perhaps afraid Cali would stab her in her sleep, and called it off. She explained her position and motivations blatantly, at that point, and Vadeyn was distraught for a little while, as you could imagine. He got over it *fairly* fast, all the same, getting angry before too long and eventually that fizzled down into a quieter bitterness you still see bits of in him by the time MC comes along. I’m sorry that conversation got dropped! I had a list of things I needed to remember to put in, somewhere, too, but ahhh I must’ve forgot even so and the whole end of EL’s development is a hazzzzeeee now

Hmm, fun fact, the whole first scene in Edric was my first attempt at putting together a vn--which is to say, arranging the script and the art and such, I didn’t have too much of an idea where the story would go when most of that was written, so if it feels disjointed from the rest of the plot.. the proper plot, I would not be surprised!

K, reverse scenario now: It's LI that loses all memory of MC. How do they react to her being all "yo what up, i'm your gf/wife." (I guess a few of them wouldn't believe it, but let's assume others also confirmed it to be true)

“Get out, no you are not” = Lacey, Ernol.  ... and Duliae but he puts it a little different “I’m almost positive you’re mistaken, someone will see you to the front door.”

Vadeyn is confused and concerned about her, but given a bit of time he starts to entertain ideas she's telling the truth and that beautiful epiphany of ‘oh wow did I find someone?’ hits him all over again, the big dork.

Haron doesn’t really believe her, either, but is intrigued and a little entertained; he is careful not to do anything that might be construed as ‘taking advantage’ until he’s sure she’s not the confused one, here, but hey if his past self said she was the one then he’s willing to trust himself.

I just played through Ebon light and just had to tell you that that EL is an absolute delight! I've played through all the (wonderful) main routes and I have to ask... is there a secret route with for Rylen Kenna? Apologies if you've been asked this before! Sooo, I bought all the outfits at the Kadia's, and I've obtained Skylar's Ingon. My only question is what the two last outfit slots are for/how to get them? I've only finished Haron's route lol :)

Aww I’m trying to figure out what this could be and I’m afraid I’m not sure... the last three slots are for igon, then beside the clothes at Kadia there’s the hood and cloak... and the nightgown, starter outfit, and ‘gha’alian outfit’ she’s given (the brown and purple one). Hmmmm.... that help any?

How would the LIs act when the MC introduces them for the first time as her fiancé to her aunt Vanya? (2nd time for Lacey hahah!)

Duliae is very good at smiling in the face of .. any sort of personality or situation, and so to her face, at first, “Hello I’m Duliae, lovely forest, it’s great to meet you, I adore your niece.” but as soon as they leave he tells her if she’s moving in with them she’s getting her own estate on a different street. Ernol is so uncomfortable and on the flip side here does not do a good job at hiding his doubts on how an aging human woman is meant to survive alone in these conditions, ends up insulting Vanya, she yells at him, he doesn’t respond because he doesn’t want to yell at MC’s aunt, but then Vanya challenges their relationship in some petty flippant way and he yells and MC just gets to hear yelling but they somehow end up liking each other in the end because they both appreciate bluntness. It just takes some yelling to get there I don’t know.

Haron turns up the charm, as he does, and Vanya is VERY suspicious of him. Arguably more than any of the others. Haron endures, and wants MC to show him all her favorite places in the forest.

Duliae would have plenty of hired help of course would not be opposed to having a romanced MC dote on him. Probably a bit fickle, though, as with everything; he’d want all of her attention until he wanted to be alone suddenly, stormy like that.

Haron is a big baby who is almost certainly somehow enjoying this rather than suffering, provided he was getting attention. 

Vadeyn hates to be a burden and would feel guilty and uneasy, but thankful.

Lacey feels unsafe and very uneasy whenever he feels vulnerable and if MC was someone he felt could defend them adequately would be in a weiiiiiirdly dependent... bizarre place that has as much a chance to make him feel amorous as it does bewilder or embitter him, and if she’s not someone he feels could keep them safe, he wants to go hide in the woods till he’s better.

edit: Lol and I just answered one about forgetting Ernol(?) Ernol is grumpy and not a pleasant patient but he is repentant once he’s feeling better.

Let’s see. Middle child, Lonre’s only daughter. She’s the only one of his children that’s really taken up his business; and in that regard, she’s more or less his protege. She has zero interest in the Gha’alian forces or indeed, any of Gha’alia ‘traditional’ culture, and loves to travel. She’s... something of a sadist and not one you’d want to pay you much attention, good *or* bad, unless you were very brave or liked to play games.
