Watching the end of Wrath of Khan as someone who’s never seen it before.
Okay, so I know what happens, I’ve seen the gifs, and I’m aware Spock returns so I should be fine… right?
That’s how far I got yesterday, all the feels, but I’m still fine.
IS THAT THE FIRST TIME SCOTTY HAS CALLED OUT “SPOCK” INSTEAD OF CALLING HIM MR SPOCK!?!?!
Okay, okay, deep breaths, deep breaths, the worst is yet to come.
“Jim, I think you better get down here.” Bones’ voice sounds so broken
HE JUST KNOWS MY HEART
did - did the most considerate captain Starfleet ever had just push a crewmember to the side as if that was nothing????????????
Mother of God look at him rushing there
IT TAKES THREE PEOPLE TO RESTRAIN HIM. THREE
Don’t get me started on Bones holding on to the last because he knows best what Spock means to him. Don’t. get. me. started.
Jim softly mouthing Spock before he calls out his name. This is fine, everything is fine, hahahahaha
HE’S ALREADY SO AFFLICTED THAT HE RUNS AGAINST THE DOOR SPOCK NOOOOOOOOOO
Thing I didn’t need to see today: THIS
THAT SOFT NO ARE YOU KIDDING ME SPOCK IS LUCKY HE’S DEAD AND CAN’T HEAR THIS
Yeah, just linger on that I mean WHO CARES AT THIS POINT AHAHAHAHAHA *SOBS*
HEY GUYS YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER? LINGERING ON THEIR GRIEF SOME MORE OF COURSE dkjhajkdhjkasdhjkasdhf
DAMN YOU STAR TREK. DAMN YOU.
SCOTTY PLAYS AMAZING GRACE ON THE BAGPIPES? THAT’S IT I’M GONE GOODBYE YOU CRUEL WORLD
*rolls into a ball and wails for three days straight*

No, but can you imagine being a Trekkie when Wrath of Khan was in theaters?
Like…they killed Spock…
I would have been on the floor of the theater sobbing my heart out during the scene at the reactor, and I might have just drowned from my tears during the funeral. How did people emotionally survive that experience? And Leonard Nimoy doing the voiceover at the end?
HOW DID PEOPLE SURVIVE THAT MOVIE?

can you believe khan said “you killed my wife I’m gonna do the same to you” and then spock died? I think it might have some significance but maybe I’m on the wrong track

jim kirk complaining about how old he is in the wrath of khan is so funny because hes only 52 and since humans live 130+ years in star trek he’s in the equivalent of like, his early 30s

“Mexico is my mother; the United States the best friend I will ever have. And so I dream of the day when my mother will say, ‘Ricardo, you have chosen a wonderful friend.’ And the day when the friend will say, 'Ricardo, you have a sensational mother.’ That is why it is very important to bring us together. Brothers and sisters, love thy neighbor as thyself. And this theatre, I think, can be a little grain of sand towards that end. Here we have opened the doors not only for the opportunity of young talent to develop—writers, directors, actors—but also in coming together as a group in this society in which we live. Let’s open a hand of friendship and love and brotherhood. That is my dream. I’ll never see it complete while I’m still alive, but I think this is the beginning, and that is what makes me so happy to see this come to fruition.”
— Ricardo Montalbán (actually one of the most adorable people ever and a great role model)
