Just to notify - I remember about the tournament, I've just got wind up in IRL stuff.
Also apparently I've made a miscalculation, so the amount of polls with three characters will increase from planned 12. Or I'll figure something else out.

So, I've mentioned before how total number of Touhou girls does not equals to the power of two, and that's actually a problem, since single elimination tournaments work much better with 32, 64, or 128 (and so on) teams.
My spreadsheet currently has 163 entries, with preliminary results from organisation polls accounted for. To get to the power of two in round two, there has to be some polls including three characters. I am still thinking about who the characters in triple polls should be, but that's probably going to be some less popular characters and Three Fairies of Light. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to leave your comments.
Another issue - 163-128=35, and it's not divisible by three evenly! To resolve this issue, I am going to retract my previous statement and divide Alice's dolls to Shanghai and Hourai, without accounting for every other doll she might have. Sorry, Goliath Doll lovers out here.

After playing a bit with online bracket generators, I feel that popularity division model I've decided to do might be a bad idea. If I do this, the stakes will be extremely high starting from round 1, killing all the tension early.
Here is, for example, match-up with top-40 most popular characters (excluding top-4: Reimu, Marisa, Youmu, and Flandre).
Another problem I've encountered is that total number of Touhou Girls isn't equal to power of two, but I'll deal with it later.

Before anyone asks - yes, there will be PC-98 characters in the bracket! But with a few nuances:
1. Yuugenmagan, Shingyoku, Kikuri and Sariel are treated as girls for the purpose of this poll and will 100% be present.
2. Genjii and Sokrates are not girls and will not be present (sorry!)
3. I am unsure if Mimi-chan should be included. I can make a poll for her, hovewer.

How tourney brackets will be made
To ensure fair and square tournament experience for every single Touhou girl, there will be a popularity division taken in account.
Popularity is measured by Touhou Popularity Poll of 2022 (or 2023, if the results will be released before the tourney here begins), and it will roughly have three to four subcategories. These measures are necessary to prevent situations like "Reimu Hakurei vs Zashiki-Warashi from WaHH Chapter 14" happening.
I am not sure yet where to put Touhou 19 characters, but I think they will be somewhere in the middle of the list.
I will try to use official art whenever possible.
There will be a few extra polls about inclusion of some obscure characters (like Jacketko and Labelko) in the poll.
Unfortunately, as Rinnosuke is not a girl, he is not eligible to participate in the tourney. But this is a subject of debate, and if enough people will speak against my decision, I will make a poll for him.
