A fond smile would curl upon Gajeel’s lips as he spoke. He’d obviously missed her more than he’d voiced or show so far but that would change once they were at his place. She’d never needed her own room there she just stayed in his room with him. It was ‘their’ room while she was staying over. He had a feeling she was going to use him as a bed or pillow a lot but he was fine with that.

“Yer right, Dragon Slayer’s noses are a hell of a lot stronger than a normal person’s is. Ya already knew that though.”

He’d just start walking with her as she wrapped her arms around his forearm. His eyes would widen at her little tease and he’d turn his head and cough, cheeks lightly tinted pink for a moment before he decided to speak again.

“Ya tease me like that and I’ll make sure yer in bed the whole time yer at my place, gihi,”

He already knew he was going to have his hands full for a bit. What with her walking around likely in one of his shirts she stole, or essentially naked as a jay bird. He wasn’t too worried though, he’d already told those that needed to know that he was taking a couple weeks off to spend with his girlfriend. Luckily they understood and he was told they’d only contact him if they had no other options.

“Two weeks is a good amount of time for now. There’ll be some holidays we can spend together, too.”

He’d playfully nudge her side with another chuckle as they made their way into town toward the restaurants where the scents of all the various foods would begin to fill the air. He didn’t care where they ate, and he didn’t mind paying whatever the bill came out to either.

“Like I said earlier, I intend on showin’ ya how much I fuckin’ missed ya.”

“Mm I think ya smell like rust, sunshine and oak.  It’s very calming.”

To her, he smelled like home.  he always felt like home.  He was safe and welcoming to her at least.  He always looked out for her.  She knew there was no one who meant more to her.  She was grateful for him.  Also that by some miracle he decided to pick her.  She felt so lucky to have him.

“Yeah, I know dragon slayers are pretty magnificent.  Powerful, protective and possessive.  All pretty common traits too plus the appetite.”

She knew exactly what she was doing. She was hoping that it would lead to that exact threat.  She would keep pushing too.  She wasn’t a brat most of the time but today?  yeah of course she was going to be.  She knew what she wanted and it was him. Just had to make sure she had the energy first which was why dinner was so important.

“That a threat or a promise cause I’m hopin’ for the latter.”

A playful smirk came to her lips.  She then leaned up on her tiptoes to kiss him softly.  When she pulled back she hurried along more than eager to hurry up so they could get to dessert.

“There will be.  We can celebrate and have a lot of fun.  Do all the fun stuff though I don’t want to leave the house if I don’t have to since that means clothes.”

She walked into a small bbq place knowing he loved the meat there and it smelled good.  It would be perfect.  She then sat down at a table.  her stomach rumbled again.

“Then let’s hurry up.  I’m expecting us to both be too sore to move tomorrow.”

Happy birthday to the lovely @weasleyandweasley mun!  Kanami is such a sweet person who I am so lucky to have as my friend. She is one of my best friends now and I couldn’t imagine not having her.  She is such a joy and I adore her so very much.  I hope this brings her just a little joy!

“Yeah but ya already smell really fuckin’ good to me. I get that, after ya were gone for a few weeks I took a couple jobs myself. Got plenty of Jewel saved up so I can take time off,”

Gajeel knew she was a capable wizard, she could handle her own, but that didn’t stop him from worrying about her as her job got lengthier and lengthier. Lyon couldn’t give him any real information other than things were changing which was fine. At least the Lamia Scale Master was smart enough to tell the overprotective Dragon Slayer his girlfriend was fine.

“Well, yer my girlfriend, if I didn’t come to greet ya what kinda boyfriend would that make me?”

Her hand was so tiny compared to his but he’d merely give her hand a tiny squeeze. As she headed inside he’d follow but stop and lean against a pillar near the doors to the guildhall. He knew Lyon wouldn’t mind but he’d rather not put anyone on edge for any reason. He wasn’t sure how the other members of her guild felt about her being in a relationship with an asshole like him.

“Food sounds good. I’ll be payin’ though and then when we get to my place we can probably have somethin’ more to eat if yer still hungry, sound good?”

The fact that they’d have two whole weeks together made his heart flutter in his chest for a moment. He liked that idea more than he cared to admit. At least her Master was nice enough to allow the two of them to date despite being from different guilds. He knew there were some really nice places in Margaret Town they could eat at all. It’d be her choice so he’d merely let her lead the way.

“Two weeks together sounds nice. Last time we had any decent time together was shortly before ya left.”

“Yeah?  Well I like how you smell too.  Maybe a bit too much.” 

She was so glad.  Two whole weeks.  There wasn’t much she wanted to do aside from cuddle him for as much as possible.  it sounded like a perfect way to spend time.  Though practically they would have to get out of bed.  Luckily not for much though. 

“I mean I probably wouldn’t have known.  I can’t smell you like you can me.  Not till I’m close enough.”

To make her point she leaned close to sniff him.  He smelled nice to her.  She then stepped back.  No matter what she thought he was the best boyfriend.  Other’s noticed too.  Once the shock the guild came to see how happy she was.  He was welcomed there within reason.  He wasn’t part of the guild but they did like him.

“You will?  Fine but then I will make dessert...  it’s me.”

She half teased as she hugged his arm.  She smiled brightly as she walked with him. She didn’t care where they went.  There were so many good places.  All that she cared about was the company. 

“It was far too long since we were alone but two weeks is a good start.  Maybe longer if Lyon doesn’t need me back right away.”

Lyon was honestly proud of her, both as her guild master, and as her boyfriend. They were close enough in age that no one saw an issue with them dating one another. It wasn’t like the two hadn’t been making eyes at one another since before he was made guild master.

He’d chuckle at her gulping her food down, a lot of things she did were rather cute but he knew better than to say that out loud. He respected her and cared about her quite a lot. Well, loved her was more precise but that was beside the point at the moment. They were merely enjoying one another’s company as well as good food in the guild.

“Sounds good to me. You know I don’t mind however you decide to spend your down time. Or your state of dress while we’re together.”

He obviously knew she wasn’t being kinky, he was used to her little quirks. Her state of dress, or undress didn’t bother him. Initially it was a bit of a shock, yes, but after a while he just got used to it and it no longer bothered him. Besides, he had a bit of a stripping habit himself. Sure, it wasn’t the same as what she did or anything but still.

“Talking about Fairy Tail, or perhaps Sabertooth?”

“Ya are clearly biased.  Ya must jus have a weakness for cute excitable wizards.”

She knew that wasn’t true.  he didn’t say things he didn’t mean.  She just wasn’t use to it still.  She always felt so awkward when she was complimented.  She liked to deflect because well it was easier.  he made her feel good though.  so she did lean over to kiss his cheek.  Her way of saying thank you.

She finished off everything she ordered then paid for everything before offering her hand to him.  This was good. What would be better was time alone with him.  It wasn’t often they really got to enjoy time together.  Between their jobs, time together was incredibly rare.  She wanted wanted to make the most of it.

“At least I don’t strip in public.  Plus its more fun to do things naked.”

It was a nice way to unwind.  She tried to be polite when he was around at first.  They were dating and she didn’t expect anything to change in the future.  At least if they had kids she would put on clothes or with guests.

“Both.  The first has been fined more for it.”

Gajeel’s cheeks would flush very lightly for a brief moment before he felt her lips pressing small kisses to his face. He’d chuckle slightly his arms tightening around her small frame. HIs lips would press against her cheek for a little but before the Dragon would move to set her back onto the floor. As he wasn’t a member of Lamia Scale he couldn’t merely walk inside her guildhall.

“Sounds good to me. I’ve got some down time to collect on too so I won’t be workin’ I was passin’ through when I smelt yer scent so I decided to come here and wait for ya to arrive.”

She’d always had such a calming scent to him. Even back in their Phantom Lord days her scent did something to calm that raged inside his body on a daily basis back then. When she left the guild before its war with Fairy Tail he’d been gone on a job. He turned back into what Jose’s torture had turned him into before she’d gotten close to the Slayer in the first place. The monster known merely as Kurogane.

“I’ve got plenty of Jewel saved up so I can take off as much time as I want. If I’m needed they’ll call my lacrima phone,”

He’d place his hand on top of her head with a grin on his face. He was clearly quite happy that she was back home and safe. He was more than likely going to show her just how much he missed her once the two of them arrived in Magnolia and got to his house. Which was, at some point, going to also be her house. They’d already discussed it but he didn’t want to tear her away from her guild.

“I’ll wait for ya here, we’ll walk to my house together, okay?”

“M’figured ya would.  Plus ya would smell blood if I were hurt.  I am fine.  it wasn’t anythin’ rough.  Just long cause things kept changin’.”

She knew he was just worried.  this had been the longest they had been apart since they began dating.  it was hard for them both but that was part of the job.  Both were good at what they did.  No one was going to stop so they just had to find a good way to deal.  Some time together was exactly what they both needed.  it would help them both to relax.

“I’m really glad ya did.  Made coming back so much better.”  She took his hand.  “Come on.  Ya can at least come wait inside.  We are allies plus Lyon knows so not like he will mind if ya come in.”

Knowing that he had time too was so exciting.  She was bouncing already.  She was ready to just run.  however, that would be unprofessional so instead she hurried to greet Lyon and inform him on everything.  When he was filled in she hurried back to see Gaj waiting.  it made her heart flutter.  She felt so lucky to have him.  

“M’kay.  Everything here is good but I need food.  Wanna grab somethin’ then your place?  I let everyone know i was disappearing for two weeks.”

Her stomach made a little noise causing her to chuckle.  She did say she was hungry.  She couldn’t wait to eat.

Lyon would pop his chopsticks apart and begin folding into his soba as Ray’s plethora of food was delivered to her a few plates at a time. No one in the guild judged her for her appetite, though more than one joked about her ‘being a Dragon Slayer’ more than one time. She wasn’t and had proved it a few times too. She could just eat there was nothing wrong with that at all.

“Good, I missed you and I’m glad you’re home safe. Are you going to join me at my place or shall I accompany you to yours?”

He obviously had no preference but he had every intention of spending some time with her at the very least. The guild already knew the two of them were seeing one another and no one had anything negative to say about it. Some had initially been jealous that she snatched up the attractive guild master but no one voiced their jealousy.

“I’m always glad that you’re not destructive unlike some of our more notorious members.”

“I’m really glad.  It was long but worth it.  They were great clients!”

She usually made friends on her jobs.  She loved getting to learn about new people and places.  She put her all into it as well so she would participate in whatever things she could.  It was always a lovely experience for her.  Plus, it made her very happy to know they would want to hire her again.  It was good for the guild as well as her wallet.

She was nearly drooling at the food.  She didn’t waste a moment getting out her chopsticks to shovel as much food in her mouth as she could.  She was not bashful at all. When he spoke she looked over at him with mouthful of noodles which she promptly tried to swallow down and not choke.

“Maybe yours?  Mine is probably needing a good clean plus I’m just gonna be naked or your shirt.”

That wasn’t kinky either.  She just hated to wear clothes so typically when she was on a break she was naked as much as possible.   On the plus side he did get to enjoy it too.

“I meant other guilds but yeah that too.”

HE HADN’T EXPECTED Ray to call, but he sure as hell wasn’t complaining. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a bad time, and when his phone went off, he was pulling the trigger. Wiping the blood from his face, Rio quickly put the gun back in his pocket, removing his gloves before answering.

“Hey.” He kicked the man’s body with his shoe to make sure he was dead. HE WAS. “Yeah… ‘m kinda tied up right now. Just finishing up a job.” It was then that he heard sirens. Swearing under his breath, Rio quickly took off in the opposite direction, breathing heavily as he spoke. “Ya know what? I’ll be there in twenty, a’right?” He hoped she’d be okay with him meeting her at her place — and with the BLOOD that stained his face.

A smile came to her the moment she heard his voice.  She always loved hearing him.  That was pretty obvious given how much she put up with.  However that smile faded the second she heard the distant sound.  She knew better than to ask; though it did not stop the panic raising in her chest.

“Jus get here.”  She said trying not to sound upset.  She was worried.  “Plus don’t get yourself into more trouble.”  She hung up then anxiously clutched the phone.  She wasn’t going to be calm till she saw him in person.
