The woes of a fan, when the franchise is cursed.
I can start back in the early 90s where Al Davis was firing coaches too early. In fact, I remember the infamous coach named Chucky, Jon Gruden. He was fired after he took his team to the Super Bowl, only to be hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He then led them to a Super Bowl victory, defeating the Raiders. Whether it's wasting a draft pick on JaMarcus Russell, and don't get me started on the Jason Campbell years or the last draft class of Arenett and Ruggs and what they've both done. It's as if the so-called bad boy image rings true. However, they are not only bad boys, most have been bad football players. And it starts with the ownership. Mark Davis isn't the worst. He just, to me, has the worst business model. Have a subpar team and have 2010 to early 2000s artists come perform at halftime. You're not alone, there's a Jerry Jones wannabe out there in the great state of Indy. I mean, this guy has yet to learn his lesson. Ever since he mistreated Peyton, everyone knew he should have come back and got Andrew Luck ready to take over, but did he? No, instead he goes and brings a chip to his new team.
Now this season, you won't pay your best player?? Now, AR is hurt?? Mannnnnnn.
Sometimes I wish these owners were somewhat more emotionally inclined enough to understand players and learn from other great owners. I mean, 'til this day, Mark Cuban is the best owner in basketball (to me) and it's because of the relentless support of wanting to see his guys succeed. Yes, football and basketball are different, however, the same tenets and principles apply to any organization.

The Disrespect of Devin Booker
Tumblr media
Coming off a 30 point outing against the Mavs, I contemplate of the disrespect that has been placed on the name and game of Devin Booker. Coming off another 26, 7, 4 season people have the belief that he needs to “win more”. A quote by an NBA commentator. Things like that are what tick me off more than anything when it comes to the game of basketball.            Everybody wants to say its a team game, but then its how many rings did he get? I’m confused, did Chuck get into the HOF? Did he have rings? Not like he cared that much, If he did he would have minded the weight more. Like Mike and Kobe have said people got to the league and got satisfied. That is not what happened with Book. Much like the cases of Lebron, KD, Kyrie, PG13, their organizations did not try to win (Except Bron, No one wanted to go to CLE). So due to the franchise’s ignorance, the narrative is he can’t win. That is BS. When he leaves the Suns and joins a team that will surround him with real talent, he’ll be one of the greats. He’s that good!               Being compared to the names of Melo, Kobe, Kyrie at the young age of 23. Devin Booker is on his way, I just hope a franchise that knows how to treat players; gets him. This is year 5, which means PHX has 2 seasons to prove to him that is where he belongs. Or like I’m hoping, a historic franchise will continue to make history with a historic player. People are looking for the next face of the league. It’s gotta be Zion, the smile, the dunks. Watch Devin Booker play, an you’ll fall in love with the game. He’s a big body, that has handles and a tactical scorer. When people talk about how no one has a mid range anyone but Kwhai. HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN PLAY?? He’s a baby Mamba! Put some respect on his game and name now. Because when he leaves PHX and he will. This is the guy everyone will be in up and arms about. He’s the type that can cripple a franchise for seasons to come. I want to sappy stories, because people do not appreciate great players in small markets. (i.e. Westbrook “ playing the best basketball he ever has”)

Kobe is better than Jordan, So is Lebron. Here’s why
With the sudden passing of Kobe Bean Bryant, I don’t want any one thinking that this is a prisoner of the moment type of take. I was going to post something about it the day after Lebron passed KB in points. But, the news of his passing was too much. I was not able to post anything. In the title I stated Lebron too but this will be focused on the Black Mamba. In the words of Robert Horry, It’s idiotic to judge a player’s greatness based off rings. Kobe Bryant much like Jordan set the standard of being a professional, an took it to a new level. The countless accolades and milestones are endless. His relentlessness and work ethic separated him from the pack. But what is it that makes him better than Jordan? Jordan has the legacy, that he has is still echoed today. But, Kobe’s will echo longer. Kobe not only changed how players work at the game, wither its incredible works out, or the Mamba mindset. Most importantly, HE GAVE BACK! He didn’t get out of the league and try to purchase a team, he didn’t try to get back on the court to get a piece of a team. He immediately went back and grabbed these guys by the ear and showed them the way. From teaching the pros in the off-season 1v1, to having a complete camp for basketball players, to having a complete academy for not just ball players but all athletes. I watched an interview of Kobe speaking of who his closets “disciples” are. He reply was Kyrie, he goes on to tell the story how he received a face-time call from Ky in the locker room immediately after they came back from a 3-1 deficit to come back and win. “Your advise worked, it worked!”. He even made headlines by stating “Their are women in the WNBA that could play in the NBA”. No one else would say such things. He coached kids, and emphasized how important it was to use sports to help the younger generation. I could go on and on with the things he did on the court, including being the only player with 9 1st team all D selections. But, what this man gave not just the game, but the world! Puts him above Jordan. As Lebron finishes he will surpass Kobe as the best of all time. As of right now, as of this moment: 1) Kobe 2) Jordan 3) Lebron 4) B Russel 5) Shaq. Don’t @ me

Lakers Head Coach Search
Laker Lakers Lakers, what have we got going on here? Ever since the great Buss left us, we’ve been at a disarray. The solutions have been simple (if you had a basketball mind) and that’ s the thing, there aren't many basketball minds on the business side of the organization. Instead of making head lines with a big coach name like Coach Cal, Coach K, Hell even the Cavs called Pitino. It just doesn't make sense. I get it, you want to be different, but being different doesn’t mean a championship. First move they messed up was Jerry West. You as a owner should look at a track record that has proven the candidate, not someone that's trying to make a name for themselves. Jerry has now done that with three organizations. Everything that he has touch turns to gold and yet the Lakers refuse to acknowledge the mind and eye for talent he has. The stubborn ways of this franchise that have stemmed from Kobe (He rubbed off on Jennie and has an emotional attachment to him) has plagued this franchise. I hope they can turn it around. But, ever since the Hire Of Dantoni. We’ve never been the same. Basketball wise, or business. There has to be a change in a major way if this franchise wants to relive any of its glory days...

What Should Be Next For USC?
Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell, both just a few names that used to Highlight the sideline on Saturdays. This is the part where we cut to the scene of Heath as the Joker. “Let's rewind a year these police officers and lawyers wouldn’t dare cross you. I mean what happened? Did your balls fall off?” The Trojans have lost the “Trojan Way”. Chris Petersen has now transformed 2 programs (who were nowhere near contention)  into champion status. It is time that the Trojans paid respect and at least get him for an interview. To make it worse he’ll be winning in The Coliseum for the Rose Bowl! Hello! Why have the Trojans made the moves they have? I need an explanation!  Les Miles was the Fit!!!!! I was screaming Les for years! SMH! Lane? Clay? But! Rumor mill is Mike Tomlin is a name. Mike if you read this...
Brotha, be done with the snow get into some sand. Beaches, palm trees, Denzel, Lebron. Most importantly, you’ll be impacting the lives of young men who would take heed to your words. Where defiance is a lesson that is taught by harsh discipline. With the stories and stresses of this year, let us just take it down a notch, get to the fundamentals of football again. Bring a program back to relevance as well as change the narrative of our college products. you’ll have them instilled with the correct tools for battle when they get to the next level... Mike USC needs you.
These are the best two candidates the best out of the college and the best fit from the NFL. Herm is another but he will achieve great success in AZ. Mike and Herm leading the PAC is an exciting thought, no?...

LeBronZo
Tonight is the night,1030 Eastern the next chapter for the lakers begins. I don’t know what is more exciting. The old feeling of relevance? or the inevitability of a championship. What people don’t realize is that they are building a WINNING Culture. Ingram:Duke;Coach K. Bron:GOAT: 3x Champ. Lonzo: was the Hills Kid: High School success. The team is also compiled with other camps on the pro level(Rondo, Mcgee,) as well as playoff vets ( Stevenson). The biggest piece to the entire puzzle? Lebron. Why? What he brings to the table and his play for the next four years? No. It’s the lasting impact that he will leave on LA. It’ll be a “Destion city” again. But most importantly, the youth. The impact that he will have on the young guns of the team. He will instill confidence, as well as the energy of free, happy play. He will help make the atmosphere more than that of a destination, but it'll start a new Era of basketball. Golden State will Bigger and Brighter Lights... Get ready.... Its #ShowTime

Let the Games Begin
Media Day was earlier this week and the press, was, well... The press. 2 things struck me during the last few days. 1) Lebron's choice of words when asked: “How to win over loyalty?”. “ I signed a four-year deal; what more do you want?”- This wasn’t to belittle the reporter or to make the question seem stupid. Instead, think about his response. When was the last time that you heard Lebron signing a contract for longer than 2 and an option? Lebron is going to spend the rest of his career in L.A.******** Only one exception to this situation, Brony. I believe Lebron’s farewell tour will be with Brony on his side. Except Lebron’s last year is the torch of basketball. Don’t take the comments said as a braggadocious answer. Take it as him saying, “I’m giving 4 years of my life to one place. What more do you want?” Number TWO! Probably the most important. As we know the media day was the other day, and yet no one noticed a post on the Lakers IG. There was a picture posted of players. ZO, Bron, and Kuz.... No Ingram.... Could the Lakers be hinting at something? I’ve always said he was their best trade asset because he has the most potential (now kuz is in the convo). Not to say this is something that is for sure but hello?!! no one said anything? Hm... Till next time folks.

Aaron “The Goat” Rogers. Why is that good for Cam Newt.
No one has seen this man throw the way he has. He’s the Dan Marino of our time. People say Brady is the goat, but is it Brady or the system? I believe if you look into the comments made by Brady, that a yes. Can he be hard to coach? Well it depends, do you have a defense that can stop the other team from scoring? The only time that has ever happened, he won a ring. Brady has a better owner, better franchise, better coaching, better organization. Not to say anything is wrong with Green Bay, but they don’t care about Championships. They care about hanging around doesn’t have to be the top, but they have to be in conversation. Aaron made a mistake by signing that, he should of took his talents else where and been the first QB to break the organization mold. Which bring me to my point.... Is there a reason the Giants took a running back instead of Darnold? Is there a reason they are willing to let the qb play be the way it has? The Giants have Eli on contract until the 2020 season. The free Agent class is stacked with big names. In 2021, Cam will be a Free agent and still in his prime at 32. This move would be the biggest move since, ever. A franchise QB leaving for another Franchise, is one thing. But at the stature of Cam, and a legendary franchise like the Giants? Never been done. This is bigger than Brett, bigger than Kirk. This will the mobility mold, as did Lebron. Cam needs the lights for his brand and for his career... Hence why in 3 years, the Giants will be the greats show on turf.
