Tashkent Tour from India
India and Tashkent share culture and history, so when I travelled to Tashkent I could feel the similarity in music, dance, and architecture and of course the cuisine. It was a part of the old silk route and Samarkand had regular trade exchanges from India. Babur and Temur who are mentioned in Indian history were from Uzbekistan. The most successful of Temur’s son Babur established the Mughal dynasty in India.
Tumblr media
The flight from Delhi to Tashkent which was covered in Tashkent Tour Package took only 3 and half hours. The time zone is just half an hour behind so you will hardly notice the difference. I spent a day in Tashkent and then moved on to Samarkand. From Samarkand I visited Bukhara, Khiva and then back to Tashkent from where I got back to Delhi.
Travelling around Uzbekistan is quite inexpensive. You can avail yellow cabs to move around the city, and the only thing to take care is to negotiate the fares before the travel to avoid hassles. Taxis are also available to travel between two cities and 6 hours journey or 500 kms costs around INR 2000 which is quite cheap.
Tumblr media
Bollywood is also quite popular in Uzbekistan and Indian actors are quite popular there. Mega actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Mithun Chakraborty are quite popular and so are the songs and music from their movies. The Uzbek radio plays the songs from Hindi movies quite regularly. You can also travel in trains and sleeper buses for journeys which are close to 12 hours. The best part of Uzbekistan is its people. They are very caring and warm and always ready to help. They really strike a conversation if they know English very quickly.
The cuisine is quite similar to food in the Northern part of India and I had the chance to eat some really tasty Kebabs and chicken curry. Italian pizza and Subway burgers are also available for vegetarians. The best time to travel is March/April as the weather is quite good here. You can also club travel to Uzbekistan along with Russia Tour Packages from India.

Ukraine an Unseen Marvel
Ukraine is most famous for the Chernobyl incident than for its amazing tourist’s attractions and it is a pity because it is a marvellous place to travel. The most important thing to note is that the place is very economical to stay for weeks while enjoying the culture cuisines and the place itself. Ukraine tour package from India is quite economic with flight and hotel costing as much as Sri Lanka.
Tumblr media
The currency of Ukraine is much devalued due to its conflicts and hence your currency will last more than expected. It is very exciting for backpackers who can travel to far off places with less money as there is abundance of cheap decent accommodation. The living cost will shock you in the city of Kiev. Metro ticket is a mere INR 9 for a ride anywhere in the city. The taxis are also very cheap with a 30 minute ride costing only INR 130 and mind it is a European country where taxis cost at least INR 1000 for 30 minute ride. The Ukraine costs are even better than the offer made in Tbilisi tour packages and they are supposed be among the cheapest holidays.
Tumblr media
Coming to people who love their beer it is one of the cheapest location (Skip Goa where INR 30 fetches a pint of beer). In Kiev you will get beer for a mere INR 50. If you love bowling it costs only INR 60 for one hour of pure fun, and cake and coffee for one person is only INR 100 which is quite cheap for a city in Europe. To top it grilled steak is only INR 150 while you can get a dorm for INR 300 which is cheap even for India. The best place to spend your evening is the chocolate cafes where you get amazing chocolate drinks. Add to the fact that there are many great places to see which includes mountains and historical places along with the amazing night life.

Shimla, Manali and Solang the Ultimate Holiday
I was planning for a long time to go to Himachal and have a relaxed holiday. But for some reason or other the program kept getting cancelled. So, when my father and mother proposed about Manali tour packages from Delhi, I was a bit skeptical. Will I be able to go? I had booked Shimla tour packages from Delhi recently for my friend, so I just rang up the tour operator. He sent me an itinerary and I applied for a week off from my college.
Tumblr media
Delhi to Shimla
Starting from Delhi, we hired a Toyota Innova and drove to Pinjore gardens. This was the last place in the plains and the last time the air conditioner had to be used. Soon we were floating in the mountains. Slowly but surely we proceeded towards Shimla. We encountered a big road jam a five kilometer one which lasted for 2 hours. We reached Shimla only by evening and stayed at Radisson Blue. The stay was amazing and we hired a local taxi for taking us around. My 7 year old daughter really enjoyed the whole stay at Shimla, the weather, the parks and the mall road buzz.
We drove down to Kufri point the next day. My father and I hiked while my mother, wife and daughter rode ponies to the small town as vehicles are not allowed there. The hike was enjoyable though the climb was treacherous due to uneven roads. The pony riders reached early and my daughter told me “Papa you are very slow". We had lunch in a local restaurant and then back to Shimla.
Tumblr media
Shimla to Solang
Driving to Solang was a breathtaking experience with the frothing Beas flowing besides the roads for most part. We stayed at the Mountain Peak hotel with a real snowcapped mountain visible through the window.
There was lots of adventure sports just a kilometer away and all of us enjoyed as per our capacity. The next day we went to Rohtang pass and had a good time in snow, sliding, climbing and Yak riding.
The next day we proceeded towards Delhi and stopped to take a water rafting ride, which was scary as the flow was very dangerous and that after I doing regular rafting in Rishikesh. We stopped in Chandigarh in the evening and the next morning back to the busy life. A tour I will remember for life.

Armenia the old man of Europe
When it comes to recorded history Armenia is one of the oldest countries in the world. The Armenia tour packages can be clubbed with Ukraine tour packages to get the whole feel of the area. Let us today look at the country and its history, which will help you in touring. The history begins with oldest federation of tribes and goes to being divided among two Muslim Empires.
Tumblr media
Armenia of Yore
The modern Armenians have an ancient ancestry to look upon. The Hayasa-Azzi tribes were the indigenous to the highlands. These tribes formed a union known as Nairi tribal union, and this was present till late thirteenth century. Still the word “Nairi” is used in poetic work in Armenia to signify the historic battles with Babylon.
Many ethnic groups along witch the Hyasa tribal produced the gene pool for the modern Armenia population today. The first state was formed was the Kingdom of Ararat in eleventh century BC and was there till Seventh Century BC.
Tumblr media
The first Dynasty and its rule
After going through a long period of being under the satrap rule of Persia, Armenia became free in 190 BC under King Artashes I who founded the first dynasty of Armenia. Later under the rule of Tigran II the kingdom reached its pinnacle and was known as the strongest country in the Asia Minor.
After the great Tigran died Armenia shrunk back to its ethnic territories, and was in the middle of a long war between Rome and Persia for supremacy. The country was subject to invasion from various Muslim warlords and was divided into Ottoman Empire and Persian Empire. Though ruled by foreigners the Armenians were able to preserve their culture in form of literature, painting, music and sculpture.
The country saw many rulers later but none could restore it to glory, and only on September 21, 1991 it became a free country. This was after two centuries of being divided by erstwhile USSR and Turkey. Today Armenia is one of the most visited countries by tourists in Europe and from USA with Yerevan being among the top 10 visited places in the world.

Enjoy Adventure Activities in Rishikesh, India
After completing the seven day yoga stay at the serene Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, we proceeded to stay in a camp at the bank of the river Ganga. The water was as clear as you can get in a river, and it was ice cold. Rishikesh is the last place where the river Ganges is in the mountainous region, and descends into plains at Haridwar.
Tumblr media
The Camping and River Rafting
The camping experience was very new for me, and I was doing it for the first time. My mother had remained at the Yoga Ashram as she did not want to stay in the camp. She also discouraged me but I was hell bent on getting the experience.
The first afternoon was filled with excitement, with 15 more people in the campsite. The day started with a trek up the Shivaliks which was a 10 kilometer trek. We huffed and puffed to the top, and then like a city person gulped in a full litre of cola. The guide warned us that cola dehydrates, and he made us drink one litre of water. It was indeed painful to drink one litre of water. We came down by the afternoon, and then it was the turn of the most popular Adventure Activities in Rishikesh, India. It was the turn of white water rafting. It is indeed the most popular Adventure Sports in Rishikesh, India. The 15 kilometer rafting was full of fear and all of us were shouting at the top of our voice while loaded in four different rafts. The water flow was really fast, and particularly I was scared. I did not even know how to swim. After reaching the vantage point, we alighted and all were fully drenched though none were shivering. This was followed by late night bonfire party with meat cooked over log fire and some really good scotch to gulp it down. An experience that I will remember for my whole life.

Tashkent - The Indian Connection
In India Tashkent is known for the 1966 Tashkent agreement which ended the 17 day war between the two neighbors India and Pakistan. Ayub Khan the president of Pakistan and Lal Bahadur Shashtri the Indian premier signed on dotted lines. Life was not the same and changed for both the leaders.
Tumblr media
Shashtri Jee met an untimely end in Tashkent suffering an early morning heart attack as per official sources, and the truth has never come out why this medical condition happened. Even almost 50 years after the incident the questions are unanswered. Ayub Khan also had to contend with rebellion in the country which ultimately led to the rise of a new nation Bangladesh. People taking Tashkent Group Packages make sure to visit the place of the signing of this agreement which was not good for either of the nations.
Tumblr media
Even before the much talked about Tashkent agreement happened India has had connections to this beautiful country. The Mughal ruler who established the empire in India Babur was born in Tashkent, and has his ancestral home in Tashkent which is now a museum. Unlike India where he is regarded as an invader Uzbekistan celebrates him as a national hero. He was born in a modest home and had to go to Afghanistan to hone his military skills. He loved the city of Kabul so much that he is buried in the city. He was in fact a hero for the Afghan tribes and united them to form a nation. While Booking Kiev Tour Packages make sure to visit Tashkent which has quite a happening night life unlike most Islamic countries.
Another figure which is hated in India but a hero in Uzbekistan is Timur who was the ruler of Samarkand. He has a statue in main town of Tashkent giving him a cult status in Uzbekistan. In spite of being lame he was a great military general who never lost a single battle. His sack of Delhi saw changes in him too. He was really impressed with the architecture and copied the architecture of the Masjid in Delhi while building the greatest mosque of Samarkand which goes by the name Bibi Khanum.

Tips for An Inexpensive Holiday in Ukraine
Being in Ukraine is not easy and there are many reasons for it. People mostly do not speak English, the weather is tough and there is political unrest. But if you are looking for an un-spoilt place less frequented by regular tourists then you should Book a Ukraine tour package. A tour here will take you back in time with less expensive food and stay (the most inexpensive in Europe) and really friendly people (in spite of not knowing English). You can really travel on a shoe string budget and still make it here. Here are some tips for how to do it. Tashkent tour package from India can be bundled with this tour.
Tumblr media
Stay Away from the Big cities - Do visit the cities but do not stay there. Instead choose countryside close to the city. You will save a lot of money doing so. Not staying in the expensive capita city Kiev is the first thing to do.
Eat local cuisine - When in Ukraine eat where the locals do. The local cuisines are always cheaper than non-Ukrainian dishes. Thus you can keep the eating bill to a minimum.
Book trains that travel overnight - The trains in Ukraine are not as fast as rest of Europe. In fact they can be categorized as slow, but are also very economical way to travel. Booking overnight trains means you also save on the night stay at an inn or hotel.
Tumblr media
Couch surf in Rural Areas - You can find some really good places to stay within a rural setting. Yes, you will have to abide by the house rules but the stay is free!
Use Uber instead of taxis - The public transport is there in all of Ukraine, but if you do not want to wait then take Uber. Their service is 50% cheaper than the normal taxis and the best way to move around in cities.
