TELL ME IT’S REAL (A series about growing up, finding yourself, and learning how to love and be loved.)

Jay – played by Gunsmile Chanagun. Jay seems reserved and shy at first glance, rarely talking to people who don’t know him. However, on the inside, all he wants to do is make quirky and artsy films and have someone to come home to with whom he can be himself, dancing around the house in slippers and all. He’s graduated in film and is interning at a production company, with high hopes of becoming a director and filmmaker someday. Benz – played by Mike Chinnarat. Benz is an outgoing and social guy who seems to get along well with everyone and have lots of friends—but really, he only has a couple of real ones, finding it hard to be vulnerable about things that matter. He’s only had a few people that he’s ever loved and finds it hard to touch, coming from a rough family background. He’s graduated in marine biology and landed a job in research at a biotech company that has him working late hours for now. Kai – played by Khaotung Thanawat. Kai is Jay’s closest friend and confidant. They both intern at the same production company together and have known each other since the first year of university. He’s over-enthusiastic about everything and never fails to take an opportunity to tease Jay as much as possible. However, when push comes to shove, he listens to Jay and offers stellar advice. He owns a snake that he loves with all his heart and talks about 24/7. Ton – played by Earth Pirapat. Ton is Jay and Benz’s kind neighbour who helps them out with food and groceries from time to time. He is a little older than them and imparts a lot of advice. He, Jay, and Benz become close friends, Ton mellowing out the silliness that the other two hold. One day, he visits Jay at work just to see Kai goofing around during the sound checks, and… Film – played by Gigie Sarocha. Film is Benz’s best friend and they’ve known each other since they were kids. She knows him in and out and even though they majored in different things and went to different universities, they make it a point to meet up every week or so. She works at an animal shelter and takes care of every little snail, bug, or otherwise that crosses her path. Mint – played by Love Pattranite. Mint is Benz’s friend from work, banding together as two kids fresh out of university and immediately thrust into the working world. They have a very pure relationship in which Benz brings her sweets he’s made, and Mint shows him specific journal articles on orcas. Mint wants to move on and actively work with marine animals sometime in the future, and one day she walks into an animal shelter and… Golf – played by New Thitipoom. Golf is Jay and Benz’s landlord, and perhaps the only good landlord in the history of the world. He provides much needed lightness and jokes, but becomes fast friends with Jay, especially, bringing him groceries when they run out. This leads to a bit of conflict between Golf and Benz, but ultimately, they become friends as well, working through their issues in an honest, adult way. Yut – played by Drake Laedeke. Yut is Benz’s ex-boyfriend, back when they were young and free and didn’t know what the world was going to shove in their direction. He plays a critical part in pushing Jay to realise and vocalise his feelings for Benz, and is also a major factor in Benz’s story of self-worth and self-love.
