Another family had also asked for help is this one they aren't in much contact but they are also desperate
if you can't donate please reblog and repost if you want but please don't ignore.
Alaa's and Walid's tiktoks are @ala.kah and @nour.nahedd please support them there as well
*update* guys I don't think there are enough words to thank you all for all your contributions from the likes and the reblog reposts and donations we've reach around $1000 between the two GoFundMe's I'm so grateful for your contributions.
thank you so much from the depth of my heart for all your hard work you have no idea how much everything you do means please continue to support and if you can make your own post on these families
instead of continuously over-donating to ao3 when those running the site are racist zionist sympathisers who shut down support of palestine from its volunteers 1 / 2 (among myriad other issues that u should NOT be funding) please direct your attention to these incomplete fundraisers for people in gaza and various tangible operations doing work. this is a call that if u have donated even a cent to ao3 to a) match that in your donations to palestinians/causes and b) stop donating so uncritically and unconditionally to ao3, pressure them. id like to direct u to @end-otw-racism
the first statement says, “give others food, and tell them kind words"
the second statement, literally translated, means "may your fasting be accepted, your sins forgiven, and your iftar delicious" (iftar is the first meal we have after fasting from dusk till dawn, literally means breakfast)
they’re now tormenting palestinians with the things they don't have. a huge part of Ramadan is family gatherings for iftar, with different kinds of food and dessert. it's also about strengthening your faith with God as best as possible through prayers. now, how can palestinians in gaza have all of this when they lost their homes and families? the children are orphaned and the wives became widows. the mosques are demolished. there's not even CLEAN water for them to break their fast. they're being starved.
the IOF are also notorious for bombing and killing palestinians practicing Islam every year during Ramadan, so can you imagine what will happen now that they've been on a rampage for six months?
keep speaking about palestine. keep speaking about gaza. it keeps getting WORSE.
Gazal was wounded on November 10th, when, as her family fled Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital, shrapnel pierced her left calf. To stop the bleeding, a doctor, who had no access to antiseptic or anesthesia, heated the blade of a kitchen knife and cauterized the wound. Within days, the gash ran with pus and began to smell. By mid-December, when Gazal’s family arrived at Nasser Medical Center—then Gaza’s largest functioning health-care facility—gangrene had set in, necessitating amputation at the hip.
On December 17th, a projectile hit the children’s ward of Nasser. Gazal and her mother watched it enter their room, decapitating Gazal’s twelve-year-old roommate and causing the ceiling to collapse.
UNICEF estimates that a thousand children in Gaza have become amputees since the conflict began in October. “This is the biggest cohort of pediatric amputees in history,” Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a London-based plastic-and-reconstructive surgeon who specializes in pediatric trauma, told me recently.
The US, on 29 February, vetoed a UN Security Council (UNSC) statement that would have condemned Israel for the mass murder of over 100 Palestinian civilians who were awaiting the delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza City.
“We don’t have all the facts on the ground – that’s the problem,” US deputy ambassador to the UN Robert Wood told reporters on Thursday.
He then claimed there are “contradictory reports” about the Israeli army's latest massacre and highlighted that Washington was focused on finding “some language that everyone can agree on.”
Thursday's veto is the fifth time Washington has blocked a UNSC statement or ceasefire resolution that would hold Israel accountable for the atrocities it has committed in Gaza.
