This is an aggregation of awesome photos of tornadoes, volcanoes, and hurricanes. I have not been lucky enough to take these on my own (despite living in Nebraska, part of Tornado Alley), but think they should be collected and displayed, nonetheless.
A fascinating tidbit from the Kīlauea livestream from USGS. This crack appeared in the wall of the crater and is starting to build a small spatter cone, near where the old Jagger Museum still stands. In the wider shot, the location of this crack is circled in red.
It’s really curious that it formed in the wall, above the level of the crater floor where the other fissures are currently erupting. This is near where the crater collapsed in 2018. It’ll be interesting to see how it develops.
Needless to say, I’m going to be watching it closely over the next few days to see what happens.
June 7, 2023: Kilauea's summit crater/lava lake reactivated after a few months of quiet before dawn this morning. Nice webcam capture of the moment the lava broke through.

A little hard to get a sense of scale, but I think those initial lava fountains may be pushing 100m before settling down to still impressive but more modest multistory-house-sized fountains during the day.
On the morning of May 18, 1980, Richard "Dick" Lasher, vending machine "routeman" and freelance photographer, made this epic photo of the catastrophic eruption of Mount St. Helens. Lasher was forced to abandon his Pinto and flee the giant plume of ash on his motorcycle.
