East Van Jam is the third child of Natalie Ferrari-Morton who lives in East Vancouver with her husband and two boys. She has spent her entire adult life living in Vancouver’s east side and for all those years has been honing and perfecting her jam-making skills and recipes, culminating in high quality, big hustle and flavourful jams. After three years hosting low-sugar canning workshops under the moniker “Homesteading Mamas” with pal Anna Hunter, Natalie was hearing a clear message from her clients: why isn’t a great tasting, low sugar jam alternative available on the market? With experience making, using and feeding her own kids a more healthful alternative, she knew it was time to take the jam scene by storm and East Van Jam was born!

Anita Sikma Design is a jewelry brand founded and based out of Vancouver, BC. Sikma has spent the last ten years developing a cult following of her jewelry line, creating her own unique references to Art Deco architecture, Automotive machinery and Egyptian Art while firmly standing within her own unique intuitive aesthetic. Anita Sikma was born and raised in the small prairie city of Regina, Saskatchewan. As the daughter of an automotive technician Sikma spent part of her youth observing the value of hand crafted labour. This experience informed an intuitive understanding of mechanical design and cultivated a strong sense of material knowledge. Sikma’s familial history accompanied with an investment in the aesthetics of Art Deco architecture and automotive machinery directly informs the current studio based practice Anita Sikma Design. In November 2017, Sikma was awarded The Carter Wosk Awards for Applied Art & Design.

Carrall St Canvas Co was born out of a non profit social enterprise art and craft shop in Vancouver BC Canada. We started teaching marginalized women in living in the DTES how to sew. We started with a few tote bags and before we knew it we were the leading local designers for locally produced aprons in the Vancouver restaurant industry. We also started to grow our line of canvas, linen and hand waxed canvas bags and aprons. Everything is handmade by us right in our store!

Erin Templeton began making leather accessories in 1999, while studying shoemaking at Cordwainer's College in London, England. She continued to study leatherwork in Australia, and once home in Vancouver, she began concentrating on handbags. A vintage buyer by trade, Erin always found the masses of unloved leather inspiring, as each piece is a reminder of who it once was. All designs are lovingly handmade in-house in recycled leather, imported cowhides, or a selection of exclusive and locally tanned elks and bison. Erin's fascination with the past informs designs that aim to defy trends. She uses minimal hardware and simple, strong construction, which allow people to adjust, change, and make pieces their own. It is her hope that each piece is able to be a life long friend, and to mix freely with new and vintage pieces.

We are a collaborative group of designers in Vancouver making things and telling stories. We observe behaviour, ask questions, share ideas, refine details, and shape materials. We obsess over: language, culinary exploits, objects, ideas and human activity.
