I did some design sheets for the non-OC toon characters + their OC family members in the Tooniverse and decided to post them :) a few liberties are taken (ie most characters not wearing gloves or shoes because i hate drawing them) but their designs are generally adapted from canon appearances! They’re mostly actors in the Tooniverse, so I’ve also written out what their personalities are like off-screen under the cut :)

Here’s Mortimer, Pete, and Fanny! Fanny’s here because I didn’t know what other characters to stick her with, no other reason.

Everyone meet Furball Fluffenfluff!

This fellow is based on the little black cat from Get a Horse! because in typical me fashion i became obsessed with a background character that has no lines

Furball loves music and works at the kazoology school of music teaching string instruments. If you can strum it Furball can play it! He’s got pretty bad anxiety but he’s a loyal friend and will do anything for those he cares about. He met Mickey, Donald and Goofy in highschool and is pretty close with them, so if Mickey needed a background extra for his older shorts he’d usually call Furball up. (don’t really need acting lessons to walk around in the bg LOL) He also replaces the turtle narrator in Three Muskateers (or Four Muskateers- Oswald is in the movie in the Tooniverse) since there aren’t turtle toons.

here is my once in a blue moon post on here sorry i am like so scatterbrained rip ANYWAY cartoon characters that are animals here (alla mickey, oswald, the warner sibs, bugs bunny, etc etc) are celebrities in the toontown world (tho celebrity culture is nowhere near as bad lol) and because i care about them a lot and im too neurodivergent to care about anything half away, i made mickey and oswald’s family trees. because i’m really proud of it, i’m showing anyone that will look at it except for oswald’s kids, who are OCs anyone with a name/appearance is taken from an official character- i went on the disney wiki and pulled a bunch. Pink for female, blue for male, orange for unknown/nb. Other info about tree below cut so this post doesnt get too long lol

Yeah, Felix is mickey and oswald’s grandfather. I wanted Julius to be related to Mickey and Oswald somehow, and i wanted Julius to be a descendant of Felix because the actual Julius is literally a Felix the cat ripoff LOL so it worked out! someone on twitter had the absolute galaxy brain idea that the two different appearances of Morty and Ferdie’s moms were actually both their moms and Mickey’s sister is a lesbian. took that and ran with it. her wifes names probably amelia, after the other name shes been given in official old comics. Oak, Oscar, and Olivia are all hybrids, which is rare! Especially to have three of them in a single litter! (Oak has cat teeth, which you can’t see) I went with black and white for fur colors because the tan face mickey and minnie and them have in modern designs makes their face look furless and i just really hate it LOL Most eye colors were chosen at random. J.P. has eartufts because his ears look like wings so I just interperated it as tufts. Os and Ortesnia’s kids are originally Epic Mickey fankids, which is why they’re colored that way. No need to make new kids when theres four perfectly good ones right there. Genetically one or more of the unknown ancestors was probably pink and/or blue. Mickey and Minnie don’t have kids because they have thirteen niblings, not even counting the ones they’re honorary aunt and uncle of (like Max, or Donald’s nephews) and they’re a little burnt out on taking care of kids due to ending up babysitting a lot. They’ll probably have them, just not soon. Toons live upwards of 300 years and they’re only in their 90s, so they’ve got a while. don’t think too hard about so many ppl in the tooniverse having the same face marking LOL personally i just consider it to be a strong gene so it pops up a lot and leave it at that.

They’ve all got serial numbers, but it’s considered disrespectful to refer to a cog by that. (Kinda like if some guy called his employee “Woman” instead of her name)

They give themselves their names, typically. Very rare occasions happen where a cog will suggest a name to another cog- Lawrence gave Ivan his name, for example.

How are cogs named? Are they assigned human names or a designation? How did your cog ocs get their names?

nope! i have no qualms with anyone that includes those things but for me the playable species are the only species in the toon world. when a species gets “elected” they just get retconned into the story. i just dont really wanna mess with the implications of allowing only some races to live in toontown lol

Do other species of toons exist outside of Toontown? Are they not allowed in? Do they not want to come in? If so, why?

hello i have more cogs

This is Aiden and Alex!

Aiden is really jittery and nervous, and Alex has a pretty big hold over him. He’s sweet, but his “friend” has him doing things he doesn’t care to (and Alex also often shoves his paperwork onto him so he doesn’t have to do it)

Alex is an ass. He was very interested in Ivan and was pissed when he found out Ivan had defected and started dating a toon- so pissed he kidnapped said toon and threatened to kill her! It turned out fine, mostly- Alex managed to get away and no ones quite sure where he is right now.

Aiden defected from Cognation after the toon kidnapping fiasco. He probably works for the Cog Theif minigame now!

Terry the Telemarketer: Nervous fellow. Constantly tripping on himself and getting tangled in things. He worries a lot about getting scrapped (which is actually why he defected,) but his supervisor isn’t about to let that happen. Very friendly once he gets past how nervous he is, though he can be a little clueless at times! Works as a trolleybot now that he’s defected, usually for the catching game.

Maria the Mingler: Outwardly she’s outgoing and the stereotypical mingler, but she’s actually bottled up a ton of anxiety. She’s kind and gentle, and very in-tune with how the inner workings of cog society work. Her and Naomi are in lesbians together- which is one of the reasons both of them defected, as romance and dating are illegal in Cognation. Currently works at the garden shop “Bert’s Dirt” in Daisy Gardens.

Naomi the Name Dropper: Incredibly shy and withdrawn until she’s with people she cares about and feels safe around. Quiet and soft spoken. Was often bullied for not upholding the standards of what a Name Dropper was supposed to be- which is one of the reasons she left, along with just hating cog society and also having a girlfriend. Currently works as a trolleybot- tends to do whatever is needed of her.

Lawrence the Loan Shark: Incredibly aware of patterns and trends. Lawrence is a pretty stoic fellow, but he’s a friend for life if you get on his good side. He loves fishing. He has a strange sixth sense that allows him to get what he simply calls “Feelings,” which helped him make accurate predictions in terms of stocks and the like. Works as a banker now that he’s defected, though atm i forgot which bank exactly oop

Ivan the Bloodsucker: Outgoing, flirty, and charismatic- much more like a Sellbot than a Lawbot. Because of his unorthodox personality he had to work himself to the bone to keep his current typing and not get demoted back down to a bottom feeder (which he hated being.) He was incredibly depressed because of this- he hated his job! He and Lawrence came off the same assembly line, and they’re basically brothers. He works as a bartender at The Squirting Flower now, and is much much happier.

Freddie the Flunky: Freddie used to be a trolleybot! One day a couple of his “friends” convinced him to come on a walk with him, but then he wound up stuck in Cognation. He hated every second of being there, and when his friends were ready to go, he jumped at the opportunity. He’s incredibly friendly and outgoing, and loves to make people smile. He works the trolley again now, specifically the maze game- he’s the fastest Flunky on the map!
