Having a traumatic childhood means you cannot talk even objectively about your basic foundational experiences without it being "venting", even if you're not actually venting. You just straight up have a huge chunk of your life you can't talk about, full stop, without it being trauma dumping.
And it not being socially acceptable to talk about your own childhood is super alienating. Sometimes people want to know why, and any answer you can give them is going to be off putting.
It's to the point I get irritated when something I said is framed as venting when I'm literally just talking about my life experiences, doing my best to keep emotion out of it.

Literally. Always was confused how tik tokkers would criticise this language, when it's well used and everyone else seems to get it. Now people are following suit and agreeing. I bet this will cause a trend of books being written without these terms/figurative language. More like everything spelled out for the reader.
I’m so sorry but in the nicest way possible do yall actually read books or just read words??? Cause I’ve been seeing that trend of people not understanding how “snarled” and “eyes darkened” and “eyes softened” etc. was used in a book and like…
Genuinely, do yall just not have imagination?? Or not understand figurative language??? Also eyes do literally darken and soften have you not lived a life??? How do you read with no imagination? Is this how you get through so many books in one month - you simply don’t take the time the understand the words as they are read?

In true, true soap opera fashion, my ex texted me that they're still hung up on me and possibly may be in love with me. Meanwhile, I'm going on a date with someone else this week.
Texted my ex last night that I missed them. Someone, please take my phone away from me.

Maybe (just maybe) I should stop having sex with people when I first meet them/on the first date. That way I won't be upset when they leave and don't text. Just a thought.
